I'd certainly welcome Harding as a companion and/or love interest, but when it comes to dwarf ladies, I think Shaper Valta would be even better. The big problem with Valta is she isn´t a surface dwarf like Harding. Also i don´t think she will ever join a party. I can only speculate but she only show up in the Deep Roads and more in a villian / anti-hero role.

I find it hard to believe that DA 4 won´t have a female dwarf in the party. And Lace is still best bet for a female dwarf companion even if this girl in this concept art isn´t Lace. By the way i had hoped that someone else had push this thread already. No love for Lace (Harding) ?!?

I'm still wondering if this is her as well. She's got the right look for Harding. She's a ranged rogue (crossbow instead of bow, but that's easily explained since crossbows are much more common than just Bianca). And if you look at her compared to the human man beside her, she's barely crouched and she is only as tall as he is when he's on his knees.

Harding was awesome and had a real shitty job in DAI.
War table: Okay Harding go and take a motley crew of low level fighters and a quartermaster and scope out the (undead swamps, high dragon desert, bandit territory, mage templar war, hakkon areas etc etc) for us. We may show up sooner or later to help you out.

Maybe Bioware will allow DA 4 Archers to use crossbow along bows like in DAO before. I understand why we can´t use them in DA 2 and DAI because of ressources and making Bianca unique but it would be neat if they change their mind.
Also the DAO skills (Coercion, Stealing or Trapmaking) would be nice if they make a return.

Also the DAO skills (Coercion, Stealing or Trapmaking) would be nice if they make a return. Expanded usage of crossbows would also be a nice way of showing the progression of technology in Thedas. It’s not that unusual for something to go from a rare curiosity to more widespread usage within a couple decades. And +1 to DA:O skills. I especially want to see them move back into the skill tree, so characters have to weigh combat vs. non-combat skills. If non-combat skills let me skip or shorten combat, I don’t need to be as beefy in combat. It’s more fun to play a silver-tongued character who’s clumsy and untrained and desperately trying to talk their way out of fights. Versus an unstoppable warrior-poet who’s good at everything because they spent ability points on combat skills and Inquisition perks on social knowledge.

I just noticed that the woman in the "Alley" sketch has a scar across her left cheek, just like Lace Harding. Notice how both scars widen in the center, and dip just below the corner of the mouth. It doesn't look like hair or even a tattoo. Granted, the model looks more cat-like in comparison, but even Matt Rhodes' finished pieces aren't a perfect match to the models in-game.

Hey let's say Lace is a romance-able companion in da4 and she was romanced by the inquisitor in dai... how do you think it'll be handled in da4? Will the da4 protag and inky fight each other for her or...? Share her? Will she reject the da4 protag or have already ended the relationship with inky beforehand? How should they handle Inky's appearance - if they have one - in this regard: should Lace and Inky kiss in front of the da4 protag to stoke their jealousy or should they include an option where Lace can break up with Inky and leave with da4 protag? Or would you rather it be like morrigan and leliana in dai and not romance-able at all even if she wasn't in relationship prior to da4?
Thank you to any Lace lovers who want to share their thoughts and wants on the matter.

And yet Trespasser literally has Vivienne and Inquisitor comment how they and Harding were dating. Faith in DA4 respecting player choice from DAI continuing to dwindle.

Thank you to any Lace lovers who want to share their thoughts and wants on the matter. So far as I am aware it isn't in the Keep, so they could just ignore it. However, if they wanted to acknowledge it to some extent, they could have Lace say something to the effect that she had a crush on the Inquisitor but in the end it didn't last, or something like that. It was clear she did have a connection with my Inquisitor on a purely platonic level because he was already in a relationship, so I think dealing with it in that way would upset the least number of people. I would think there can only be a very small number of people who didn't romance anyone else in DAI and then hooked up with Lace in JoH. If Lace is in DA4 as a full companion, I really think people would be upset if she was not a romance because of something that was only really covered by two DLCs, one of which, Trespasser, couldn't even be played by people on old consoles. After all, why couldn't she have had just a brief relationship with the Inquisitor but then they ended it because her duties led her elsewhere?

After all, why couldn't she have had just a brief relationship with the Inquisitor but then they ended it because her duties led her elsewhere? I think this is correct. It's not in the keep, so I don't expect it to hold over to the next game. Especially since the game will almost certainly jump console generations, so we'll be importing our saved world states from the keep. And there's no romance achievement tied to it. In game, if it's mentioned at all, it will be played off as light flirting. Especially since that's how Patrick sees it. Regarding it being acknowledged in game with Vivienne, the most that you get from it is that you went on an off-screen date with Harding. There's not really much there. It's a single line in a single dialogue in a DLC. It would be easy for this to be played off as merely flirting and nothing more. I don't really see it as any different than the Warden being able to flirt with Cullen or sleep with Isabela and then them showing up later as the LI for a different protagonist.

Okay, the Inquisitor is allowed to make an appearance in DA4, as long as it's solely to get cucked by Harding and the DA4 protag.

I can picture it now: Harding and the DA4 protag stroll down the sunset-drenched cobblestone streets, arm in arm. Protag has to lean over quite a bit to make this work.
The shot widens and pans out, to show a metal prosthesis, engraved with runes, clasping a gorgeous bouquet of mixed flowers.
As Harding and DA4 Protag become dots on the horizon, the metal fist falls open, and the bouquet plummets to the ground, into a brown puddle, to be trampled and scattered by uncaring feet.
THE END
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaa!!!

Maybe they broke up.
Maybe they went out a few times but it was never a serious romance.
Maybe they have an open relationship.
Maybe the Inquistor is dead by the time DA4 starts.
Maybe it was just rumors and it never happened.
Maybe Harding won't be a romance character or even in the game at all.

And yet Trespasser literally has Vivienne and Inquisitor comment how they and Harding were dating. Faith in DA4 respecting player choice from DAI continuing to dwindle. Never saw that clip. Thanks. Not all dating relationships actually go anywhere. OTOH, they could lock Harding out in such cases. You'd have to use the Keep to have the romance even import, right? It's not like a player can reduce the open romances without doing it deliberately before game start. I suppose there will be a fair number of people who go into DA4 unspoiled WRT romances, but what percentage of them are going to set the Inquisitor up with Harding? But yeah, it's unlikely that this is going to make it into the Keep.
