Incoming crafting changes. Feel as fast as gaining a level to me and each level has the same XP requirement. This is what I'm talking about: to get from 299 to level 300 you needed 4990 cxp. The amount of cxp you needed increased each level but 4990 was as high as it went. Dulfy Galactic Command GuideI logged on a character last night that is Renown 1 or 2 and she needs 160,000 xp to get to the next level. It might always be the same (160k) but it's considerably more than we used to need and for me, it feels too long. I get about one renown level per hour doing story/planet questing/heroics, not even focusing on farming XP and skipping mobs. Galactic Command leveling never went as fast as Renown is going in 6.0 and I never got a single character past GC 100.

I think the reasoning behind it is: Renown really is the cherry on top and by far not the MAIN gearing road... and azarhal is correct - if you just play whatever you like you gain renown levels faster than the 160k would suggest. I honestly think about re-speccing yet again to put the healing sets I am constantly getting to good use and here are the patchnotes for the maintenance later today

I agree with Kaiden Fan. It does seem much slower than Galactic Command. Maybe just how we play.

I did more GSF last night and I got 296/298 armoring/mods from the crates despite being 276. Now I just need something to slot them in...I will have to picked a set soon I guess. Looks like I'm going to do more GSF dailies from now on. If it popped faster, it would be the fastest way to grind conquest, tech fragments, gearing and renown. I also die less often now, still can't get more than 4 assits per matches though.

and here are the patchnotes for the maintenance later today Some of the stuff fixed in this patch are somewhat hilarious: - Nautolan’s Social Ability is no longer permanent when used. - Players should no longer receive in-game mail from characters that are dead due to player choice. - Although they are quite comfy, you are much less likely to get stuck on the chairs in Huttbreaker’s Compound. Also, some Yeah!: - The Materials Inventory will now remember the last section you had opened. - Players will once again earn Dark or Light Tokens when earning a Renown Rank, depending on which side is currently winning the Galactic War. And some Doh!: - Jedi Knights that resume their romance with Kira Carson now trigger the intended break-up with Lana Beniko or Theron Shan. - Select NPCs will no longer be hostile to the player in the Odessen Base.

I’ve been mostly leveling my dozen or so 70s to 75 so haven’t really played much beyond 75 on most characters. That said, when I reached 70 pre Onslaught, on any character, Command crates dropped like candy.

I did two matches in about 40 minutes of playing last night and a match takes 10-15 minutes. So it seems to take about ~10 minutes to pop. I queued while doing solo planet questing/heroics, so I wasn't just waiting for it though. I'm on Star Forge (if I remember correctly, I never really paid attention to the server screen outside the first time I created a character way back in December 2011, lol).

The servers merged a few times since then too. I had an original set of characters from 2011, then a few years later remade them in another server. Now they are all in the same server.

That said, when I reached 70 pre Onslaught, on any character, Command crates dropped like candy. All XP boost works with Renown (Guild XP, the XP boost consumable from planet questlines, legacy boost, etc). FP bosses and PvP crates have a chance to drop Renown points consumables (I haven't seen them elsewhere, they are auto-consumed).

The training solo session doesn't reward anything. There is an intro quest to GSF on one of the fleet terminal (and probably some for the PvP one too). Then there is a daily and weekly quest (I think those show up in the activity tab and fleet terminals). The GSF match in itself doesn't popup a quest reward panel at the end, you just end up with a PvP crate in your inventory and +100 tech fragments.

what really royally sucks though - and there is nothing about it in the notes: reputation tokens are auto-consumed as well - so you kind of have to stop doing stuff when you reach the weekly cap and cannot hord them for the next week and when you already have a max rep you cannot even sell those any longer

It was a regular match, not a solo training mission. Maybe I should try that. Anyway I think I got a crate from that. I want sure if it was that or a renown crate. Was just some 272 gear.

last night I tried a master mode red reaper on my deception assassin ... the first boss was totally like on veteran, died easy enough and I got tons of (golden) loot. I think 4 iRating 300 pieces and 3 purple things (my iRating was 297) (on veteran I tend to only get overall 3 pieces from the first boss, so yay) ... excited I stealthed to the droid boss ... ... well, let's just say, I am too old for this shit I was too slow switching the beams from red to blue to red to keep it at 3/3 ... Andronikos kind of didn't like that and died I force cloaked out of the fight and tried it a couple of more times, but alas, too stressful for me. So I abandoned the FP. Will try another veteran though to see if I get iRating 300 pieces there as well ... and maybe do the first MM boss again I was wondering in general what the difference is loot wise between vet/mm right now ... just the quantity or also the quality... does anyone know?

Lol. Especially since I’ve never set foot in it before.

Lol. Especially since I’ve never set foot in it before. The only not shared flashpoints are the low level story ones: - Esseles vs Black Talon - Taral V/Maelstrom Prison vs Boarding Party/The Foundry The rest are all shared (with some dialogue differences). They are all scaled to level 70, so you should be fine in 230/250 gear as level 75 get downscaled anyway. Veteran requires at least a level 20+ healer companion though. The complexity is more on the boss mechanics and Collicoid Wargame can't be soloed because of switches. You can access them in an area of the fleet via the elevator that leads to fleet taxi, one of the floor is for those old FPs, I think it's the second entry in the menu. Note that the story FPs also grant level 75 gear and Maelstrom Prison/The Foundry can be done in like 20 minutes with a stealth character. lol, I tried RR Veteran on my Shadow and I totally didn't remember how that boss worked (it's been aged since I did RR) and I died there and decided to leave the FP. that's the thing though: for me on Veteran the red and blue beams ALWAYS STAY AT 3/3 ... It was at 3/3, I believed I had to change them and make them all the same color! I totally forgot how that boss worked actually and couldn't be bothered to retry it after dying.

It was at 3/3, I believed I had to change them and make them all the same color! I totally forgot how that boss worked actually and couldn't be bothered to retry it after dying. whoops but now you know/remembered - and that FP is really easy for increasing iRating fast ... when I can do it so can everyone

Thanks azarhal. I’ll look those up. Speaking of being boosted to 75, that apparently doesn’t apply to the star fortress flashpoints. I did one in story mode with a level 68 sage. All the mobs were 75 but I was still a lowly level 68. Died in the first room. I wonder if they forgot those? I can’t believe they would gate the story flashpoints in older content.
