Question about the Alliance reward. I know once you raise influence up the next level, you get a reward. But what if you get jump a few levels. Like say, the smuggler influence was at 4 but jumps to 6 when you give her all the crates at one go. Is reward #5 skipped? You get only #6?
P.S. Does any one know where is private Ladd for the heroic quest A squad gone missing, Taris, Imp side. I found three bodies but can't find Ladd. I've been running all over the area on my IA, cloaked. There used to be a map with the locations but it's not around any more. Not even a guide.

You don't get a reward for every level (I think it goes 2, 4, 6, 8...) and all the rewards pile up even if you jump from 1 to 20. You have to accept the lower level mission/reward first to get the next one. This also gives you a chance to spend some of the data crystals before you go over the limit. Final rewards are 4 custom Roche speeders.

I usually do only the Korriban/Tython/Hutta/Ord Mantell and Coruscant/Dromund Kaas heroics on each of my chars. Takes about 30min per char, so it's something I can do while waiting for the PvP queue. Sometimes I do a few short/quick ones on other planets, too. This gives me ~20 crates per char per week. Since I have 10 chars, this adds up quickly so each char going into KotFE starts out with around 60 crates of each type. You need around 80 for full influence. Since C2-N2's mission gives 500 influence each once a week and since you can simply buy more crates with the data crystal rewards, this allows you to quickly hit lvl20 influence, usually on the same day as you started. With that taken care of you can move on with the story immediately.
Sometimes, when I'm feeling bored, I find a group doing heroics runs and then do the big ones like Balmorra, Nar Shaddaa, Tattooine etc.
In any case, I always have enough crates in my legacy cargohold without needing to actually farm them. They just pile up over the course of my normal activities.
For PvE gear... I didn't want to lose the set bonus so I keep wearing 6 pieces of my PvP gear. I only replaced the chest with a crafted 220 piece. I crafted everything else too, including the lightsaber. I got the 220 healer focus from the vendor though. The new weapon you create with Satele and Marr got upgraded with 208 hilt/mod/enhancement, I can't craft better there. I only used it in the fight against Arcann anyway.

The mods on the new Arcann-basher weapon when it is made is 200, not 208. I transferred the mods plus augment over from current weapon to the new one. Only done it for the sith warrior. Since no one stops to admire lightsabers (barely discernible on the hip), those mods will stay. However, the sniper rifle is ugly as shit for the IA. The pistol too for the gunslinger. I shudder to think what it'll be like for the commando. Probably something hideous as well. I'll not bother to transfer and only use those for the Arcann battle.

I used my own crafted 2 lightsabers for the final fight with Arkann and succeeded ... but I had that Marr/Satele thing still in my inventory I have a PvP question (again ): my Sith Marauder is now lvl 53+ish and I have an IA at lvl 14 I think and a newly created soon to be commando which I could level up a bit pretty quick... which of these chars should I do PvP with? So far I understood that - if you have no PvP gear at all - you should start with a char <65? and Daemion : is the Heroic 2+ Star Fortress very hard to complete solo (+ companion)? until now I just did the solo SFs (which were rather easy tbh)...

I never touched PvP until KOTFE came out and you had to do it to recruit Pierce. Since then I've done quite a bit of it, and yes, starting on the lower levels is definitely the way to go! I normally pick up the Introduction to PvP quest from the PvP terminal as soon as my new character gets to the fleet. Doesn't matter how low a level you are as long as you know how to play your class, and your gear will get bolstered anyway. There's also different groupings so you won't be in with lvl 65s in the best PvP gear. I find this is the best way to do it and it has the added bonus of levelling your character really fast - the introduction to PVP quest gets you 100k+ XP alone and I think you can pick up a daily quest too for a similar amount. If I'm on the fleet at level 12-14 normally I end up leaving at about 18 or 19!

Just watched a YT explanation on the datamined 5.0 patch that will be released with the expansion. I'm not clear about the more defined cut to melee and range classes; range classes with their melee skills cut out. I supposed my sor is a range class since she can strike targets far away, I wonder if that means her only two melee skills with her lightsaber disappears. That is stupid if so. What's the point of having a lightsaber then? Use it as a lightning rod? If it only affects those weilding guns and rifles, it's even dumber. What? They cannot strike another with the barrel of their weapons??
Nerfing sorceress. Again. I think they did it in the past but because I did not play regularly, I could not see the difference except for the lightning field; the duration was shorter.
I wish they add more skills and variations to combat than taking away.

As long as your character isn't 65, you can do PvP without worrying about gear. Be aware that there are three different tiers: Tier1: 10-40 (lowbie) Tier2: 41-64 (midbie) Tier3: 65 Some classes are stronger than others in these tiers, for example Operatives with a dps spec absolutely dominate Tier1. Some classes like Sorc/Sage healers only really come into their role in Tier3 when they get proper PvP gear with a set bonus. It depends on what necessary abilities are available at that level. I'd say play your lowbie chars in PvP first... it's easier there because there are less abilities and counters, people are more forgiving and most matches are over quickly. This way you can earn the necessary wz comms to buy PvP gear with 65. Only found two lowbie/midbie(?) PvP screenshots: The exp, money and comms are decent. On my lvl65 chars I've seen up to 17k credits for a victory. 3.7k valor and 282 comms seems to be the maximum, too. Heroic Star Fortress solo is easy. But that's me saying that. The entire game isn't very challenging for me. I ran it this morning with my healer (in 220/PvP gear) with HK-51 (lvl50) as dps. No buffs or items from the specialists. Got through in ~30min, didn't die once and got "The One and Only" title. Only used Heroic Moment against the Exarch. I'd rate it a little higher than the usual heroics, the mobs pack a punch and you need to CC some enemies so you have a chance to heal. Elite Knights of Zakuul will kill your companion 1vs1, if you don't heal it. If there are two at once (the ambush in the Ephemeris room), you need to CC one or you'll need Heroic Moment and a medpack to survive. Paladins are even harder, of course, but you can skip them. Actually, skip all the fights you can, there's nothing in the solo heroic you can't do in the solo mission, too. Except for the random bracer drop from the Paladins. Well, and the Exarch of course. Whatever you do though... don't try the Voss heroic solo. The Exarch there heals. A lot. When I ran it the first time, in my infinite wisdom I switched HK-51 to healer to make sure I wouldn't die... and then it was healer vs. healer+healer. Took 40min or so. Just that one fight. Fun. :> If you use the buffs (+1000 to presence I believe, +25k hp, dmg reduction for enemies and dmg increase for you) and the 4 items/abilities though... it becomes easy. The turret is basically a ranged tank. On the other hand... my Shadow never made it past round 6 in the Eternal Championship. Granted, she only got PvP gear and a lvl30 healer companion but the difference is massive. My combined dps of healer + HK-51 is at least 30% higher than my Shadow going full burst on enemies. I don't know if that's because of the gear (lack of accuracy maybe) or if companions are truly that op but... my healer/HK-51 combo finishes the Eternal Championship in under 20min without dying even once and heroic SF solo (with buffs) is a walk in the park (except for the boss fights). The basic idea seems to be to make melee classes more mobile, so stuff like Flamethrower or Blade Dance can be used while running. On the other hand they'll remove all ranged abilities (except pulls I guess). Sorc/Sage keeps the basic melee attack with their lightsabers but loses Double Strike. Instead you get a new ability that channels the Force through your weapon and when you hit someone, they are stunned for 2sec. Which is nice. Personally I think the idea has merit but I don't think their implementation will be balanced. It'll take a couple of patches until things work again.

I've zero idea how it's going to be like. I doubt the meleers are suddenly going to do super dodging ala GW2; they'll just be very good at running around and not stuck in casting "spells". I'm going to move my sorceress to end game of S1. I had planned only to do it for JK and SW but if they're going to hamstring the sorceress again, I better enjoy her "OP" skills while she still has them.
Just did a check on my smuggler. Poor toon is at 60. I've forgotten how to initiate the Revan chapter; a droid on the fleet I think? Her next chapter is Ilum (Crystal Ball) but I remember I skipped Ilum for my commando and she was able to do the Revan story.

Yeah, no the planned changes for 5.0 are complete bullshit. My sorcerer will forget how to swing wide with his lightsaber? Why? Because "range is range herpaderp"? Who gives a shit if they have an extra melee attack for flavor? I like doing doublestrike/thrash when I'm just dicking around with lower level mooks. Does it break the game? No? Then fuck off.
Oh and even worse, my agent will apparently forget how to aim down the sights. With a freaking rifle! So what, is that useless too? In the age of lasers, a laser is superfluous on a character with no Force abilities?
Oh and the best part- taking out droid CC. Fucking what? Why? What massive unbalance did droid CC cause? Unlike the other idiot moves where only flavor and immersion is shot, this actually lowers utility. What fucking moron came up with this shit?

Holy cow, what was Bioware fiddling with months ago? I thought my smuggler didn't do Ilum (I thought she did) so I started off the Crystal Ball mission. Guess what I found when smuggler got to Ilum? The entire freaking map is open which means, she already did the missions. wtf?

Doubt it'll be that fast. There's Vaylin and Scorpio <- just what is this AI's ultimate goal ? And there're others more I'm willing to bet are going to step up to the plate. I'm running my smuggler through chapters one and thereafter. She feels terribly out of place; seriously, the way the story goes, the cloth is cut for force users (especially the JK) not mundanes. I'd rather non force users have their own roles in the grand design. Disbelief dogs every step of the way for all my non force user toons. P.S. And yes, I too, was going ; I don't want the bludy throne.

Finally done with SoR and Ziost for Dark versus Light event and onward to KOTFE. I didn't finish the class story by the time I start SOR but I was surprised that Marr called me Darth Imperius (LS title) despite being a DS-er. (which is great since I already have a Darth Nox and she's not the sharing type). I like some of the dialogue changes, everyone calling him "Dark Lord" and constant mentions of Dark Council. At times, I hate being one dimensional DS but somehow M!Inquisitor made every cringe-inducing lines sound so delicious and hot.... naturally, Theron hates him and Lana loves him. I just found out that Euan Morton (M!Inquisitor) narrated Jim Butcher's The Aeronaut’s Windlass. And then an audiobook with Raphael Sbarge in it and now I have my new Heroic 2+ playlist. Will talk more about Knights of Eternal Throne after the trailer... tomorrow! (I refuse to use the short form since it sounds vulgar in my language, lol)

It's not a good thing when every time the smuggler talks, you hear Kaliyo instead. Talk about immersion breaker. It's even worse when you use Temple as healer companion and she uses nothing but Kaliyo's lines. But that's a legitimate bug.

I only get that throw-dance-saber bug on the Sentinel. The animations carried off as normal for the rest. Weird. guys, i need to ask, is it bad that i totally have a crush on Lana Beniko and that my character is female Jedi who is sleeping with Lana? hint hint I did this for the female JK but I'm not aware they're sharing a bed; *I actually do not think they are. So far all I see are just romantic exchanges in the beginning and nothing more thereafter they arrived on Odessan. * Seriously, Lana knows Volky (whose intentions is suspect) is inside JK's head, listening and watching. Mighty uncomfortable to get too lovey dovey.
