I have played my female trooper through both KotFE and KotET and am currently taking my female bounty hunter through KotET (because aric and torian! ) and I agree, there were parts in KotFE where I watched some stuff through my hands over my eyes because it just seemed a little crazy. But it feels, to me at least, that it much less of a problem in KotET. I haven't had a problem playing them through KotET. I have brought up before about how I preferred the 1 - 50 experience in SWtOR, but others say it will probably never happen again because of resources and such. They're most likely right. But 1 - 50 will always be my fave. I did not too long ago do Makeb on a lowbie character (because I miss the 1 - 50 stuff) and I decided that except for the platforms quest, I missed doing Makeb too. Never thought I'd say that!

Never thought I'd say that! I second all of this. Except for the missing Makeb part. The storyline on Makeb I loved, but I hated all of the questing there. I have yet to finish KotET on any characters but my troopers/bh. Having their LI back really did make a difference to me through the KotFE line. I have a slinger almost done but she was my boosted toon and romanced Theron. The rest of them are somewhere in the KotFE/KotET chapters, but its hard to care enough to play them, when I've already seen what will happen and I know I won't be getting any of the LI back. 1-50 is why I still sub to the game. I have so many toons and I just keep making more specifically to level.

Is the Torian romance worth it? I've never played fem Bounty Hunter longer than Drommund Kaas. Which is kind of weird, because i really like her voice. Maybe that will be my next character.

lilyenachaos same! i have so many lowbie alts akrabra I would say yes to the Torian romance. It's very sweet. I like the BH the least of the 8 and prefer the Vector romance, but after the new stuff I really do like the Torian romance and would recommend it. I honestly like all the female romances though, my least fav is probably Quinn.

I have replayed the agent storyline way too many times just for the bugman. Never played male agent, Kaliyo makes my skin crawl. I do like Felix aswell though, for Consulars. While he is somewhat boring, he is just a decent down to earth guy and there aren't many of those around. Going to make a Fem Bounty Hunter now, starting at level 1 and playing it all the way through KoTet, this is gonna be rough. Is there any addtional dialogue with Torian if you are a Mandalorian?

He agrees to teach you the language, and there is some reference to it in KotFE. Not sure what the dialogue is for a non-Mando BH though, all of mine are.

Of all the male romances, Ashara's is definitely the most boring. If I ever bother to bring my Inquisitor into KOTFE, he'll be ditching her for Lana. Nothing will ever be as good as Kira. My JK can't commit to anyone else aslong as there is just a tiny hope she'll come back. She is the only thing i liked about the JK story, rest was meh. People probably already shared their thoughts on Kotfe and Kotet in this thread, but i am curious to hear some opinions. So what do people think of them? Personally it feels less like an mmo while you're playing them, not sure if that is good or bad yet. Also the one size fits all story does not infact fit all. Having a hard time playing a non-force user through the story. I ran through the first part of KOTFE with my Vanguard, and maybe with one or two more chars that I cannot recall. It did no feel right for him, and I was bored. By then, I was mostly into doing group content anyway. The story did not have links between the classes, not even any differences between republic and empire. For me, the breakthrough in SWTOR's SP experience was that jaw dropping titanic and monumental task of uniting 8 unique and varied class stories, each with multiple quest resolutions. So, Rishi, where the class stories wound down was the last bit of actual story SWTOR experience. The rest just did not really appeal. Heh, I am a straight female, but I love most of the romances for SWTOR males, and prefer to play as a male, since i really like how cool they turn out. Jedi Knight story is second least favorite (I like Imperial Agent less), and I don't like either romance for him/her. I'd have loved to romance The Sith Lord you get on the crew instead, can't remember his name. Torian was nice, but really boring for me, I don't like the romances that are too much like real life with a nice guy. On IA, I really loved dumping Kalyio for Raina, same as dumping Risha for Akaavi. Edit: if I have to pick my favorite characters for the story and most played with, I'd go with: Quinly Zabrack (renamed to Tuonel) healer Sage, unofficially romanced Zenith; Tishujen, twilek female Gunslinger, that romanced Numen Brok, tried to settle for Riggs, then moved to Shan Ruvvoy, Sorcerer heals, loved Ashara, his feelings were not quite returned, so he fell for Cytherat, then remained unattached Runt'o'litter, Cathar Operative healer, dumped Kalyio, filled around with Raina, but really... love? Meow. Yvolgar, twilek Sith Juggernaut, a crazy nuvorish from Balmorra that was really in love with Vette, but sort of left Barras to stew and went to become an ace pilot (erm, in his mind, I was terrible at gsf) instead in GSF Tageren, a real honourable Vanguard, a Mirialian, whose only DS act was saving Jaxo, whom he walked out on, staying loyal to Elara And Glean and Glaen, Mando and Merc I'd thought would be healers, hence annogram of Galen as names, but turned out to be DPS. Did not really finish their romances, pvp for Glean, PvE for Glaen. Glean was a Miri, and Glaen -a Pb Sith. The characters that did not turn out all that well were Gori, the Cathar Powertech, Tredici, the Miraluka Guardian (he looked gorgeous though), Becchino, the Sith Marauder and a Human Sentinel, Lariko. The character I plain hated was Dusk-fell, the Chriss Sniper The character I regret running out of time to play was Last Words, the Torguta Shadow and Last Laugh, the Miraluka Scoundrel (but I played a Twilek to Togruta Scoundrel heals called Rhodion a fair bit). There are some other characters that did not make it past level 50, but they are not memorable at all...

Torian being the saving grace Consular is actually one of my favourite stories. It makes you actually feel like a Jedi. You help the people of the Republic, and forge Alliances that benefits it. As much a diplomat as a warrior. Really enjoy the female Consular voice aswell, she is so serene. Added to that the romance with Felix is sweet and has some of my favourite Jedi relationship dialogue. I'll quote the line when i find it.

Torian being the saving grace Consular bores me to tears on Tython/most of Chapter 1. The last time I did it I literally completed one objective of the first mission before I instantly wanted to delete and roll another Knight. But it does get a lot better from Chapter 2 onwards. I really like the Rift Alliance stuff and wish it factored into stuff more. And I miss Nadia as well... Bounty Hunters hunt things. The end. The saving grace is of course Mako

I agree that Tython is boring for the Consular and most of Chapter 1. But it soon picks up and it's one of the better stories, imo, of course. I like the political stuff and forming alliances. Lol, I like how we agree that Torian and Mako are the saving graces of the Bounty Hunter story Also, me and Jil are still playing a few nights a week if you can catch us on, give a holler or send a msg to pick a certain night, see if we can get together for some runs.

Today I bsod my desktop while logging into SWTOR and with Chinese New Year holiday coming.... arghhh..... why can't it wait until I buy a new laptop?..... I'm so bored.... Anyway, the server grew unstable after the last maintenance, I can't do any story without lagging every ten seconds so I've been doing heroics and levelling my lowbies (most are now level 40 with a lvl 30 scoundrel and a lvl 20 marauder). I recovered the credits I lost these past few weeks but the newer pack look interesting. Want that mask on Silent Warden's Armor Set.... I got three subs clicking my referral and I have enough to change the race of my namesake toon from Miraluka to Human. Will show her off later when PC is fixed. And.... Improved Command Experience I through V character perks have been added. Each one "increases the amount of command experience obtained from all content by 2%. This increase is cumulative with previous increases to command experience. This does not affect cxp earned through disintegration." This should give a 10% command experience total with all five purchased. Purchase costs: I - 100,000 credits II - 300,000 credits III - 600,000 credits IV - 1,000,000 credits V - 1,500,000 credits They just have to do this to me now.... urghhhh.

Torian being the saving grace ;) Consular's was my favorite story. I loved how the character progressed from healing the individual Masters to basically healing the Order and the Republic. The emphasis on healing, diplomacy and reconciliation really appealed to me seeing that most games are all about killing the big bad guy and being a powerful Slayer.

It's a mess.
PvP arenas give piddly amounts of cxp now (~300), Bolster was changed (no more bonus HP or tertiary stats), enemy AoE are marked green on the floor, the new Uprisings aren't in the group finder...
... and that's just what I saw from an hour of playing. I am pretty sure there's a lot more. I haven't tried the new Uprisings yet and didn't look at the new legacy stuff yet either.

Rough. Sorry to hear it. I have a feeling I left at a good time. All my SWTOR experiences and memories are mostly really fond and golden. I just wish there was more space on this forum to rave about SWTOR... though it did change so much....

Ok. The promised legacy cxp boost costs 3.5 million credits, increases cxp by only 10% and is -not- for the legacy, just for that character.
The new options to get gear seem to be okay though. Upgrading a set piece from Tier1 to Tier2 costs 150 components (and some command tokens, of which I have too many anyway). Winning GSF gets me 8 components (not to mention almost 1200 cxp) and unranked warzones are okay, too. Only arenas seem to have decreased cxp somehow. I haven't tried ranked yet, no one is queueing up for that this late. I'll look into it tomorrow. All together I got 84 components from PvP today, which means I should be able to upgrade my T1 chest piece to T2 tomorrow. I think that's plenty fast progress. By the end of the week I should have all pieces at 236.
In theory this makes gearing up alts somewhat faster, as I can just buy the gear for them, put the mods/enhancement/armoring etc in legacy gear and trade it to them that way. But that's... not the best idea I think. Won't work for relics, implants etc either.
I wish they simply had used legacy xp for this, we wouldn't need this cumbersome system then. But then F2P had access, too... and BioWare can't allow that.

I can't handle this game anymore.
To me it has gone beyond a joke. PVP is ridiculous. The lack of any meaningful new PVE content is ridiculous. The added restrictions to the already extreme f2p model are ridiculous.
I've been checking out other MMO's and found that Guild Wars 2 is actually pretty fun, funny thing is I can play the entire base game for free with virtually no restrictions, and then make an informed decision about buying the expansion. I was a big fan of the original Guild Wars but never got into 2 before since it is quite a different style of gameplay.

I was a big fan of the original Guild Wars but never got into 2 before since it is quite a different style of gameplay. I have never got to trying Guild Wars, but I played Blade and Soul and Revelation on-line. I'd recommend BnS for just a free single-player run through the story while you can stand it, if you like pretty landscapes in games and gratuitously smooth combat (well, I liked it). MMO elements in it are pretty sad. Revelation is terrible. I dunno, I liked SWTOR, but the other MMO, I don't think I want anything to do with them. Too much efforts for too little payback... and the community in SWTOR was really nice too, but in the other two games, I did not really like the folks who played it. Some parts of MMO sound really good, until you total the efforts it takes to get to the good parts doing the god awful boring crud. And, some things, I think they simply cannot make successful in practice, such as pvp and large battles. I think it's practically impossible to make it fun and engaging for the majority of players, while staying convenient, and avoiding the nastiness, imbalances and heartbreak. It's basically to hard to build a system where everyone always maintains at least 50% winning, and once it goes below that, it's the end of enjoyement.
