I like the old server names better...but I like Star Forge better than the 'west' coast server name.

I had forgotten, with how quiet all of the servers were (except EH, because RP), what a cesspool fleet chat is.  /shudder

Okay, no sound in SWTOR

I clicked to run as Admin

Restarted my computer

I made sure the sound wasn't turned off on: 1. My actual computer 2. In player preferences 3. went to the volume mixer to make sure it hadn't silenced the game silently from teh rest of the computer.

I hate broken things so I'm probably going to abandon it.

I already have teh achievement but I'm always down for more FPs. Especially since my agent is finally well geared (well, tier 1 anyway). It feels good- I've definitely been missing out. I almost feel like I could handle HMs again.

Really, the SW is my only main I'm seriously considering doing KOTFE on. Mostly because it removes all the companions I don't care about (which is anyone not named Vette), rather than in spite of it. I get Vette back. And I get to kill Quinn. All sounds good to me.

On the other hand I have what I think is a unique bug- I finished Vette's quest chain but somehow all the romance bits came afterwards. Now I'm "stuck" on their first kiss and I can't bring myself to continue. I like having the kiss on demand as opposed to finishing the chain, and having Vette join the legions of mute drones all companions eventually become.

To finish the romance is to doom it. How.... Sith of them

Nice try, but I've already seen it A romanced Vette too. I cringed more at the guy leaving her behind (and for Torian, no less ) than her actual death.

I'm phorayz on star forge but I still have no sound so Haven't left where the game left me standing. I had to watch the opening sequence on YouTube because I didn't know what happened and what was said.

Sometimes it's the simplest stupidest shit.... but have you tried pressing Ctrl-S?  Apparently that does something sound related.

Also have you checked your sound mixer when the game is running? Is it registering sound but just not playing it?

Hmm... have you tried to repair your install from the launcher? Ctrl + S is supposed to be the game's default hotkey to toggle all the game's sounds on or off.

EDIT: if the repair still doesn't help, apparently deleting the DiskCacheArena file in the game folder and relaunching the game worked for some others who were getting no sound.

..yeah that'll probably work.
