Consular isn't that bad. Its a story that was based on Obi-Wan archetype that was anti-Sorcerer arc. You have a chance to become a healer, a mystic and a politician; functionally more important as a Jedi than Knight was. Female Consular isn't that bad and Nolan North as Male Consular is far more emotive than Mark Meer as bland-fest BroShep (which I despise playing).

A lot of class romance fans. But Vector? Eww.. I accidentally romance him on my Bond Girl and he totally forget how slutty I was and I let him pine after her and eventual polygamous marriage (since she was wedded to a Voss). Genuine hilarious.

(Male) Consular was my main. It was just clunky. I like the concept, but all sorts of elements were off. And forget about 'Dark Side'. But since it was my first, it wasn't so bad  |

Finished base game storyline for my (new) Consular. Saved the Republic, got a medal, didn't make the Jedi Council (which I'm fine with). Only did the purple quests on Corellia (all the other planets I've done everything on that character, but I just wanted to finish that Consular so I can move to my other new characters).
Next I'm going to focus on my new Smuggler I think, my new BH will stay on Balmora mid-way through the bonus series a little while longer. Although, I'm somewhat tempted with redoing an Agent now too.

you can do the heroics solo right away ... just take your companion with you and you are more than good to go  |

So only one flashpoint is currently available but I'm assuming that will change? Still in prologue. Yes, they unlock as you level up, but not all of them have solo story mode. Those that do, will have purple quest markers once they get available. But, apparently, outside Colicoid War Games puzzle requiring 3 players, you can solo the rest on Veteran with a high influence companion (and higher level character for more skills and better gear) but I haven't tried it. The story flashpoints are: Essless (Pub)/Black Talon (Imp) once you reach the fleet to go to the capital planet. Maelstrom Prison -> Taral V(Pub)/The Foundry -> Boarding Party (Imp) after Balmora/Taris and before Quesh in early Chapter 2 Directive 7 after Voss, before Corellia Battle for Ilum -> The False Emperor after Ilum storyline Once you reach Forged Alliance storyline all the flashpoints have solo story mode and part of the ongoing story. Reddit has a post with a map of the story and a solo only bullet point list. |
