This thread kicks off from something LukeBarrett said, noting that there are people in the Venn Diagram who like both Dragon Age and Anthem, though at face value they look to be quite different games.

But what is the overlap of your interest in one or more BioWare IP's and why?

If there is a BioWare Venn Diagram, what does it look like?

This thread may be a slow burner, but let's see how we get along.

DA and ME. Anthem wouldn't even be on my radar if it didn't have the BioWare name attached to it, and despite that I still have no interest. I would expect slightly more ME/Anthem overlap than DA/Anthem but I could be wrong.

I'll wait until I've had a chance to play the demo before answering this, but definitely a fan of both DA & ME.

If that venn diagram were somehow physical space, I'd be on the DA side with perhaps a foot over into ME. I'm mildly interested in the ME franchise. I played MEA and enjoyed it, and own the MET, but don't have a burning interest in playing it. I voted DA in the poll.

No interest whatsoever in Anthem.

Dragon Age mainly, though I enjoy the world building, gameplay, and characters in Mass Effect as well so I voted for both. Anthem just isn't the type of game I'm interested in.

I do find it fascinating so far that there is already one for "Dragon Age and Anthem", but none for "Mass Effect and Anthem". I say this only because of the sci-fi/shooty shoot aspect of ME and Anthem, in comparison to fantasy and sci-fi/shooty shoot.

I said all three, though Anthem could of course fall off if it disappoints me terribly. I’m most firmly rooted in the Dragon Age section.

I’ve sort of cooled on Mass Effect as a franchise over time. I think it’s just because I’ve become less impressed with the setting and the way rule of cool tended to win out over actually planning an arc for the three games. I think Andromeda get’s more criticism than it deserves though, despite it’s flaws.

My love for Dragon Age is a lot more intense than my love for Mass Effect - I've played all four ME games once and basically enjoyed them but don't feel the need to play them repeatedly and hang around in the relevant forums.

As for Anthem - multiplayer is not my thing, so I wasn't much interested, and then it turned out I can't play it because the hubs are in first person. I hope it is good and does well, though!

Voted for Mass Effect and Dragon Age. I love both MET and Dragon Age, didn't finish Andromeda, and hate Anthem. As for why, for Anthem I don't want to support EA's microtransaction-first, anti-single-player business practices. I also dislike first person and needing 4 players for the best experience.

I'm tentatively interested in all three. I don't know whether I'll like Anthem, I've seen things I like and things I didn't like about it, and Warframe exists.

I've become less invested in Dragon Age and Mass Effect as time went by, mostly because I wasn't overly happy with either franchise's most recent entry. In my opinion, DAI suffered from poor side content spread over too big maps and clunky melee combat, and MEA's story and characters did nothing for me. But I'd love to play a new game in each series and become invested again.

DA and ME. I am playing SWTOR but it has a story and at least a limited type of romance, though sometimes the flirt options are ridiculous, especially when it's a Jedi doing the flirting. Anthem is avoiding that entirely and that makes me lose interest.

I've played Anthem several times now and it's suuuuper boring for me. Played with friends, and that was the only fun part. Laughing at all the glitches and such. But today I started up the demo and just... didn't even make it to the suit. Realized I genuinely did not want to play this game and turned it off.
