Your Last Solo in Whatever

I don't like solos, so I don't do them. But since I usually go right from the lobby into the game, and sometimes no one shows up, I wind up doing public solos. And the one thing I truly hate about this game is how it trolls the solo player. Especially devices on wave 10 in a small map where every device is right out in the open. And the way every boss you kill near the device is spawned right there again. Or how you kite the fast enemies away from a hack, but the freaking ravagers and marauders just camp the hack or device waiting for you. Just really pisses me off.

This hasn't happened to me in a while but I really got into your story for some reason. Almost made me sad haha. Congrats on finally succeeding on Reactor ! Oh and I like your Turian Soldier's name, I guess Latin looks good on Turians, make them sound even more deadly and serious.

Okay so I'm trying to do this solo platinum for a themed Challenge right ? Volus Adept on Condor vs Reapers, M-4 Shuriken AND Scimitar, CSMG authorized for plat, so CSMG and Scimitar. 

I have a couple of tries to warm up, get a feel of the challenge, mainly trying to figure out how to use this kit and weapons on a solo platinum. After a while I finally make my move and here we go. It's going okay, taking a lot of damage but I manage to save my consumables, enough rockets as I get to wave 8. I keep doing my thing, everything's going well and then, I get grabbed by a Banshee, can't remember what happened, probably got cocky and got too close. I think it was about 100min of gameplay...

I knew this was likely to happen so I keep my head (relatively) cool and figure I'll try again next time. The next day, after a couple of failed attempt where I instantly gave up after dying on the first waves, I make my move. I die again on wave 2 but I'm like, meh, let's keep going, we'll see. I already had to deal with wave 6 targets the day before and I'm scared to death of getting wave 6 AND wave 10 targets, so I'm saving my rockets and trying to save my consumables too, needless to say it's taking a while. 

After 96min of gameplay, I'm at the end of wave 9 wrapping things up. The game tells me that one Banshee is the last ennemy. I deeply inhale, then exhale in relief and contentment. I even make my Volus do a happy bubble yay. It's basically wave 10, I have 5 rockets, 5 ops pack, 5 medigels, I can handle everything the game throws at me right ? Honestly at that point, in my mind, victory is already mine....................... I guess I was so worried about saving my missiles for potential targets that I forgot about an element of this equation.

Honestly, I was so taken aback when I got devices that it was difficult to think clearly. That and the fact that I've never soloed this map before except maybe in bronze or silver and the fact that I was really tired. So yeah I could probably have dealt with the devices more efficiently but at the moment it seemed like things were going super fast, I reached a state of anxiety and fear that was pretty high, you know , for a video game.

I've actually tried different build, my first attemps with the orbs but I was taking too much damage for my taste and I didn't take that much advantage of the debuff or biotic explosions. Though I will say that it did help me finish the bosses faster so it's good to wrap things up. Ultimately, with my short experience in the matter I'd say that it's probably okay to try with or without the biotic orbs but using them might require a little more focus.

Anyway this is all in the past now, I've managed to pull that one off yesterday so yay ! It's just taking forever to upload, according to my calculation it's gonna take me about 80 to 90 hours straight..............

About tackling the harder challenges first, I thought so myself, turns out the N7 II is way harder, to me at least, I've tried several times , didn't get past wave 6, that I reached once... Human Inf, Black Widow, London/Geths, good luck with those primes... Luckily for me I'm stubborn as hell.

Try with only the Talon. Would probably shave 5 minutes off.

Gold Geth on White with the N7-Fury, didn't plan on doing it but decided to go for it during the later waves.

took a Human Engineer with the Csmg on a UUG solo.
got Collectors on Benning , so it was long because Mr Squishy here had never done Collectors solo ( still, he munched on pizza, played with some weird devices and took a drone for a short walk ).

My first proper attempt at a Gold solo. 38 seconds to go.
Fuck.

That's what I feel whenever I solo with my TSent. It was the first character with which I managed to solo. And he is a rock...
Case in point, just promoted on xbox and from lvl 6 to lvl13 I just soloed my way through with him. 3 times bronze and 1 silver. All 10ws, with minumum consumables used.
Did I tell you I love the TSent ?

I spent this whole morning trying to solo. I either wanted to improve a time or use a character I hadn't before.

I got targets on 10 like 3 solos in a row, with 1 missile left each time, vs. Geth. Finished it once, then died after the last target.

I was only able to salvage a Demolisher solo where I got my time down to 26:xx but it was ugly too.
