Close but no cigar

First attempt after the break:

Another troll on w7, as I lost three gels and two ops to what I'd call a death corridor: furious that I'd only lost one gel up to that point (which is quite an accomplishment for me) the RNG trollgods decided that the best way for the f*****g engineers to place their turrets would be on the Launch Ramp; for those who know Fuenf's maps at (X13,Y31) which is marked on the map so known and the second at (X12,Y44), at the start of the launch ramp, which is a first for me and as far as I can see unmarked (unknown?).
So you get the picture: got downed by the first, crawled a little, got downed twice by the second, luckily found a blind spot between the two boxes, where I could sit for a second, got my cloak on and ran like hell...
And now, as usual, my mistakes: w3 hack -good; w6 targets, switched to Ravagers, but the second one spawned in the middle of the pack so I had to use another missile and w10 - my greatest weakness - pizza delivery. As I never took the time to learn how to properly run with it on PC, this is a problem for me. The first one was on the Upper Level, so I could kite them and got away with it, but the second was at the end of the Launch Ramp, plus the Primes camping nearby and the rest was silence... :angry:

Frustrating

Just need a few more waves to finish Condor in map mastery, so I started up a new lobby with the SI/Valiant vs Geth, and I got the bug where none could join.

I only used shield power cells, I got dropped so easily on that buggy shit map as prime siege pulses goes straight through solid walls, targets on 3 and devices on 6, luckily pizza on 10, extracted with one medigel left. Gold can be a challange as well, at least this was annoying.

after waiting many months, I finally made the switch from console to PC. I haven't played 1 single PC game in 15 years. To adjust to the controls, I fired up a giant/reaper/bronze........needless to say, there is a huge difference. 1st attempt, I killed 2 cannibals before going down, 2nd attempt I killed 4 cannibals before going down...by the 5th attempt, I almost made it past wave 1....almost.

Collectors/Plat wave 7 can go fuck itself. I can't get past it to save my life, get stunned by bombers and humped by abominations until I burn through all my equipment or rage nuke/quit. I also need to stop getting downed stupidly before wave 3, that would be nice. Dear RNG more shotgun amps would be nice.

Haven't played for awhile. Decided I'd do an easy Gold Solo. But chose Random/Random/Gold fro some reason.
Batarian Vanguard, with a Pirana. The plan was to just focus on melee, but I got Geth and Rio. My Cooldown was rather bad with the heavy barrel mod and omni blade

Pirana really sucks wihtout smart choke. Took 8 shots to kill a bomber, FFS.

Took me 60min and all my gels, ops packs and missiles.

(I suppose i could have used the Reegar and did it in half the time, but I must admit, the Reegar bores me to death now).

I completed my first and last solo platinum challenge. Because I suck, I used a geth juggernaut on Giant against reapers. Took me over two hours of circling around the map over and over taking out enemies on the way without stopping. I finished with two medigel and four health boosts left, I used my last rockets while evacuating as celebration.

Never doing that again but it was so satsifying.

Wanted to do the easiest possible Gold solo there is as I have 0 patience for RNG BS, so I went with the ultimate cheese combo, Reegar/Kroguard on Glacier vs Geth.

First try I got Targets, Devices, Devices and I finished it at 20:12 or something, wanted to re-do it for a sub 20 and second try gave me Devices, Targets, Devices but I managed sub 20.

99,99% of the objectives I get are targets or devices, I can't wait for ME:A to launch so they finally close down the servers for this f-ing RNG shit game.

After along time I finally completed my first gold solo as a Krogan Vanguard (I want to give him a Krogan Highfive.)

I was so happy to finally complete it waiting for the achievement to pop up...hmm nothing. *Goes to check Achievement list and reads Gold Solo 1/2* Oh...Well damn looks like I'm going to have to do another. lol

Regardless it was a very fun run. Makes me laugh when you knock the enemy flying and he laughs "RA HA HA!"

I decided it was high time I took the risk of a gold solo with the Avenger, so I chose an OP class: the TSol. UUG turned into what you see. Luckily I took the Acolyte as a sidearm. But still to kill a Praetorian, especially a possessed one, with the Avenger is a long, long process. Oh, and just for the fun of it try and complete W8 and 9 - without using one missile...

So jealous. Pretty sure that is impossible on PS3, especially given the self-imposed missile thing.

Pretty sure my last few solos were all pretty uneventful. Decided to run a few solos on my wife's account because I wanted to use her Spitfire (Level 8, mine was still level 3 or 4). Hated every minute of it, slowest Juggernaut solo I've EVER done, took 58minutes, ugh. Followed up with a much quicker run with her Wraith II vs Cerberus (because I was too lazy to switch accounts). Then I decided to relax a little, ran a few Silver solos with Destroyer rocking two-shot Executioner and CSMG.

That, combined with the PUGs since has rekindled my interest in solos, so hopefully I have the time to run some more interesting ones again.

You'd have probably shaved some minutes by using Incendiary instead of Disruptor.

Thanks for the tip.

As per your suggestion, I just switched my KroGuard's ammo to Incendiary III on Giant/ Geth / Gold, finished in 29.29 (the only consumables used were two medi-gels (bloody stunlocks, again!)) and bagged myself a silver medal for tech kills (normally, with Disruptor III, I get a bronze). I reckon there's a couple more minutes -- maybe three -- that could be shaved-off, especially were I to use Incendiary IV and expend some rockets

If I'm using my melee kroguard against Geth on Gold (which is literally the easiest combination I've found in the game barring bronze, I find it oddly relaxing) I love using Disruptor. Why?

Because I love seeing them do this...

Also Geth take less Incendiary damage (more shielded/more shields/no firedance) so if you're aiming to shave off seconds AP might serve you better than the Incin recommendation in this particularly unique case. Maybe even Warp? But do what's fun, ney?
