Prospero's Vanity Store, Shards and Coin

I think my 4 hrs was an understatement, that is Origin didn't update the numbers. Now it says 14 hrs but I have played some more as well. I haven't got a total tally since I spend my coin but we started at 40k. I bought stuff and landed on 12 I think. Played it up to 50k again and got myself a new arrival and victory pose!

I hit 50k coin (started at 40k) at hour 8.

I'm was at level 9 and still getting coin. I think there are some bugs, obviously. One thing I noticed is, in the launch screen, I'm listed as "Ranger level 3" when I'm an "Interceptor level 9"...

We usually pay for game and then pay separately for DLCs and expansions (unless you invest in the dreaded season's pass...) for AAA games, right? And a vast majority of Anthem's DLCs and expansions/updates will be free, and if things go in right direction, they will continue for years. This 60$ won't sustain the game for that long, nope.

Anyway - after 30+ hours, doing only one stronghold on normal, no quickplay, a decent chunk of freeplay, completing the main campaign, but not yet finishing all story content or missions for factions I earned roughly 60k+ of coin, and that's discounting 40k I got at the start.

I've seen people trying to make a big deal out of the game having a finite set of achievements with gold rewards and thus arguing that coin grind will... well... grind to a halt, but I think they have entirely forgotten about multiple repeatable challenges, coin for strongholds and so on. Plus, the game will be updated regularly and I find it quite unlikely that we won't be getting more challenges and achievement rewards together with new content.

Props to all my BSN worker bees that grind the coins in my Alliance. But we are not there yet, people! I see only one of you at Rank 10. Work harder! 🐝

Anyone grinding SH2 on GM1 difficulty for items? I made some runs today but only with random people. Ironically enough I had 2 legendaries drop in a simple contract mission on hard earlier. Both in one mission. Nothing aside from 1 masterwork skill that I don't use in the SH runs so far...

what activities give coins? is there a comprehensive list?

(I did some freeplay in my last trial-hour, finished 2 world events, got zero aka 0 aka NULL coins )

hit j in tarsis and check the challenges list, you can do the same when your in a free play zone or press m and click tracked, it gives you the "mission" goals for you to complete, and yeah its a minimum of 3 world events to generate a quest complete that gives you a few hundred coins, if your good you can smash out the 30 ultimate kills challenge the legendary and elite challenges and the harvest and melee challenges to give you a couple of k every day, if you swap the tracked freeplay missions from one location to another you can do this a few times a day, although it works better if you freeplay with a mate or two and team up and do all of the stuff especially the dungeon runs where your all but guaranteed to generate a revival medal and the stronghold quest complete and so on (its annoying though since theres no way to set a waypoint that ive found and flying off to the right dungeon for the tracked quest update is random luck) other than that you get loads of coin for successfully completing missions as an extra (dropping into other peoples contracts) which makes it the best way to farm coin, so long as your not getting loaded into that one mission to listen to the agents audio at the camp since it never rigging works....

It really not that hard to get coins from what i saw.
