I'm such an idiot. The Zeffo tomb... I took me forever to work out how to get out of the damn thing. It took longer than it did for me to work the sphere puzzle! What about me? I still haven't figured out how to get to the last Dathomir secret, the one where
you almost reach it, but the stupid oversized bat grabs you and throws you all the way back around the village.
I am sure there is an easy and damn obvious path back, but I just don't see it. All paths that I could get to end up being blocked for further access. And there are still secrets on Zeffo that I just can't find for some reason.

What about me? I still haven't figured out how to get to the last Dathomir secret, the one where Haven't been to Dathomir, yet. Technically, I still haven't left Zeffo... I think I'll head to Kashyy...the Wookiee planet next. The Jedi Master dude I'm chasing referred to it as a dark place of death - or words to that effect - basically, game dev code for, "this place is hard, don't go there too soon".. I am sure there is an easy and damn obvious path back, but I just don't see it. All paths that I could get to end up being blocked for further access. And there are still secrets on Zeffo that I just can't find for some reason. While I think the initial breathless "so good/OMG GOTY/THIS is Star Wars" etc reviews may have been more about what the game was not, rather than what it is - i.e. it's not MP, not GaaS, no lootboxes etc, I do think it is very good and one of the great things is that there is literally no hand holding on the puzzle stuff. It's what games used to be and while I understand why they've moved away from that, it's hard not to feel a sense of nostalgia for it when you do encounter it in a modern game. I will concede that Fallen Order takes it maybe a little too far, though.

I have been playing Fallen Order and I would say what I have disliked the most is the inconsistent difficulty. I started on "Normal" (I forget what they called it) and was having my butt handed to me at the end of the first time on the Forest type world. So I dropped it to Jedi Knight for "Easy" even then I am having some fights where I die and use up all my healing, but then go back after reloading and have no idea why I will wipe the floor with the enemies.Doing a little backtracking to get a few more collectibles and have 100% two of the planets and only needed a guide for one secret so far and after seeing the video I know there was no way I would have figured it out without help. Can't comment on the difficulty but it's possible the yadded a dynamic difficulty bit in there to adjust the game if it feels it's kicking your ass too much. I know that some games such as the RE2 remake supposedly has one anyway wher after a while if you're getting an ass kicking it drops down a bit. I think Fifa does things like that too.

Its always possible, but I find its the chain blocking and stuns that make or break the fights for me. So if they are parrying everything I am doing and interrupting my stronger attacks it just feels like its taking forever, but if I get a good couple of hits in at the very start it makes the fight completely different.

Ok - the ice slides of death are really frustrating Overall, though, I'm finding it more enjoyable as I go. The combat is making more sense - although unlocking Force Push helps with that - and I'm finding that I am falling into the "button mashing running around in circles" trap a lot less.

Had no issues with the ice slides. You can use jumps to get some extra direction and control while sliding.
Wait until you get Saber throw. Some fights were just me running around until I have enough Force to do the timed long throw (hits twice on going forward and upon returning). Feels almost like using a gun. Enemies in corridors are just fodder But you can get attacked while the saber is not in your hands.
I am going through a second PT on Jedi Master. Seems even a bit easier when you know the enemies already. And I find more stuff compared to the first PT. Apparently it's easier to spot stuff when you go through the story path as most chests and secrets are situated right along it. The shortcuts later can make things more confusing. The game also feels more fun this time around as I don't desperately try to check every nook and cranny, but just enjoy the ride.

Not sure if people would get upset at using specifics, so all goes into a spoiler tag. I had trouble a couple of times with the slides where I would fall just short because of momentum, but the most frustrating one for me was the one in Nightbrother Village after you cut down the bridge. For some reason the respawn point was in the middle of the ramp so if you died once I had to quit to the main menu and then work my way back there. I died several times because the for some reason I would just randomly bump into the wall and then go straight down to my death. Eventually I got it, but it was the most frustrating part of the game for me.
I am still having a few issues with the combat, so I am not sure if I will play the game on a difficulty higher then Jedi Knight.

Had no issues with the ice slides. You can use jumps to get some extra direction and control while sliding. Yes. I managed to "control" Cal into missing the gap in the spinning wheels or missing the edge of the next ramp if I did hit the gaps quite frequently. And yes, I used Slow on the wheels. 8/10 - would die in slow motion again. Probably tonight.

Pretty sure I started to get artistic points for the ways I was trying to make that catch.

The only rope that I needed to repeat was after 2 wall runs in the first tomb on Zeffo.

That is definately the one rope I had the most problems with as long as you don't count the glitches I encounters where the game forgot I was using a rope and started to swing the rope back and I continued forward just floating in the air following the trajectory I stared on the rope while still in the character pose of using a rope.

I think my current position on this game is 'unpolished diamond'. There is probably a bit too much weirdness in the way it handles some platforming. Maybe needed a few more months in the oven, but - so far - nothing gamebreaking. Just blood pressure elevating

Is it a rope where you grab it after an ice slide, then swing to a wall run part? If so, then if you look around while swinging, you will notice there are TWO more ropes nearby and a chest at the end. You can easily miss it if you just follow the obvious path forward. But making the 3 rope jumps is a bit tricky without Force Pull.

I just got this game and god do I love it. Started out on the hardest difficulty expecting to get my ass kicked and I did but in a good way (though come on red unblockables should show through the white cover). The one issue I'm having though is this game stutters horribly at random times like every five to ten minutes and its made me die a few times. I think its related to loading assets since I've noticed the more time I spend in an area the less it happens. Maybe I just need an SSD... but other wise awesome and BD is the cutest fricking thing EVER.

In my case it's definitely related to loading a new area, but the stutter is really minimal and rare, no impact on gameplay and feels more like a second of frame rate drop instead of the freezing some people report. Since it's the UE4 engine, it might be connected to the CPU usage. A fast single core performance might help as well. I am on a 4.8Ghz atm, but can check stock turbo speeds at 4.3Ghz and see if there is a change.

Check if your memory is used up, fex. if for some reason using chrome, it bloats itself up really fast, but so do other browsers too, albeit slower. It also might be about GPU memory running out.. various things, maybe even UE4 internal I/O lock.

I think its related to loading assets since I've noticed the more time I spend in an area the less it happens. Maybe I just need an SSD... but other wise awesome and BD is the cutest fricking thing EVER. Its a problem with the Unreal Engine at least that is what Digital Foundry has published about the game. It can happen on any platform and will happen when the game is doing a lot of I/O work so when you are transition between different environments. They have said it has happened in other games as well, but I don't buy enough games to know how true that is. What they said is how full your HDD is, how optimized your HDD is (don't do this on a SSD), your type of HDD you are using, even how old your HDD is and probably other things can impact that load issue. There are probably other factors as well that can contribute.

It happens to me once in a while and I am on a SSD. I also have SSD, 16GB memory and 6 cores of 4960X with 1070OC.. havent seen stutter. Check if your memory is used up, fex. if for some reason using chrome, it bloats itself up really fast, but so do other browsers too, albeit slower. It also might be about GPU memory running out.. various things, maybe even UE4 internal I/O lock. I have all statistics on screen, so I know if anything bottlenecks Haven't seen my memory go above 25GB and I have 32GB. And games rarely eat up all of my GPUs 11GB.
I am sensitive to even small FPS drops that happen for less than a second, so I am maybe noticing things that you miss. JFO definitely slows down when loading new areas (not load screen loading, but when you move through the map to a new section - it's a pretty widely reported issue on both low and high end hardware), but those things are also more noticeable if you play at high FPS rates and in JFO I get between 80-120. If you are at around 60 FPS, it will be much less noticeable as it happens for a fraction of a second and is very similar to a FPS drop. And a drop from 100 to 50 is much more noticeable than from 60 to 50 and the latter is probably impossible to see. I am a bit of G-sync spoiled now and take note of any "not-super-fluid-motion" event. Honestly, I didn't notice them before at all. Thanks, G-sync,...I guess
On some mid-lower end hardware (no SSD, 8GB RAM and/or slower single core CPUs) the FPS drops would be more severe and even feel like a few seconds stutter. I suspect it's related to the CPU caching as the UE4 is known to not utilize efficiently more than 2 cores and doesn't play well with hyperthreading, so it's why I think a faster CPU minimizes the issue.

I just got this game and god do I love it. Started out on the hardest difficulty expecting to get my ass kicked and I did but in a good way (though come on red unblockables should show through the white cover). What they said is how full your HDD is, how optimized your HDD is (don't do this on a SSD), your type of HDD you are using, even how old your HDD is and probably other things can impact that load issue. There are probably other factors as well that can contribute. You mean like Disk defragmentation? Yes, kids, don't EVER do that to your SSD! Severely reduces it's life and is completely useless to do anyway as you will get no positive results.
And yeah, if it's mainly HDD/SDD related it would explain why it happens only when loading assets during gameplay. It's very rare for me and is noticeable maybe once every couple of hours as a blink of an eye drop in FPS. I am more annoyed by the Motion Blur that is supposedly "Off", but is still there And I didn't find a good way to completely remove it in the .ini file. Might need to tinker with the TAA as it probably is related to that as well.

So no complaints. But! I have seen some YT videos where those slowdowns are a few seconds of like 2 FPS performance and downright freezing. So yeah, happens to me too...just not like that

Just encountered my first "real" bug.
Cal died - surprise surprise - and normally - relevant to the discussion above - the SSD loads up within a few seconds. This time, however, I waited...and waited...and waited. In the end had to CTRL-ALT-DEL out to Task Manager.
Currently in the second Zeffo tomb.
I've picked up Force Pull and the game feels like it is really starting, now.
I feel like there are more options in both platforming and combat than the addition of just one Force power would suggest.

Yeah the slow downs are 100% related to having an HDD (and the engine issue). Nothing is remotely close to capping out while playing, at least from what I can see. Oh well maybe I'll *finally* buy an SSD. It's a shame because I have to pause cut scenes at their starts so they don't look HORRIBLE.
Also anyone really hoping that the make a second game and add in more RPG elements? like better skill progression/loot actually having stats?

I'll wait till I've finished the game before fully committing, but in general, yeah - I'm usually in favour of that. Baby steps first, like Assassins Creed Origins --> Odyssey. Hopefully AC continues further down that path. If Respawn get to make another one of these, yeah, I'd be keen to see more RP options/elements become available over time.
