So, I didn't find a thread for this and I have been itching to talk about it. I am not a fan of EA, and I also am not a fan of the Disney direction of Star Wars.

That said, I still love Star Wars, and enjoy pretending to be a Jedi Knight about as much as anything tbh. It is also a SP-only game!!!

I really hope they do this legendary franchise some justice with this one.

It's Respawn's name being on this on top of being singleplayer (thank sand-dwelling Christ) that has me interested. Say what you will about EA, but I believe that Respawn has it in them to actually make a good game out of this IP. I just hope it isn't shat out in a rush.

Ah, this is the one from Respawn, the one announced so casually and cringy last E3. EA can't even do announcements right.
But yes, so long as it's a SP story driven game, I will probably be interested. I'm still super mega pissed they canned 1313 back then. You look at that old ass in engine trailer and it still looks gorgeous.

Good thing Disney is historically hands off when it comes to video games. They've even admitted that they give game devs/publishers pretty free reign because they have very little experience in the industry (this was in relation to them being satisfied with EA's Battlefront 2 so take that as you may).

That said I've heard that we might be playing Cannen from Rebels as a padawan. If that's true there might be a bit of retconning happening so I hope for someone brand new. Also I know this wont happen but I'd love to pick our race/gender.

In reality though I just want a good single player experience, which EA will no doubt screw.

Hmm that's interesting, but really no microtransactions or multiplayer? If that's true then it would seem that Respawn has far more freedom than most EA studios.
