Well that looks like it could be good. I have two thoughts.
1. Bummed that we can’t customize the protagonist. I didn’t expect much, but something would have been nice. 2. I wonder if the Second Sister is Bariss from The Clone Wars. I remember hearing a rumor about her possibly being in the game.
It would be a nice nod to the events on Clone Wars.
Anyway i hope they make some good lightsaber fighting mechnics. The Jedi Knight series were the last games where the lightsaber actually feels like a laser sword instead of a glowing stick.

And maybe, just maybe see some of the Rebels cast.
(Ezra was born the day Empire began, Sabine was a small child, but Hera, Kanan, Zeb, Ahsoka and Chopper/C1-10P were definitely around)
Though I must say it would be a lot more appealing if the Mandalorians made an appearance. I very much like them, and there are some great names (though I wish Rebels made a reference to Clan Ordo)
After time adrift among open stars, past tides of light, and through shoals of dust, I will return to where I began.
I'm starting to think that this is an IP launcher. Obviously its star wars but I think EA is hoping they can make multiple games off of this story. Maybe I'm too damned cynical to believe EA would do something so consumer friendly without some sort of screw you in their back pocket. Good god though, I really wanna eat my words. Single player star wars experiences have always been my favorite gaming experiences. Now to sit and wait for E3 to see actual game play. Anyone happen to have a spare time machine laying around? or cyro freezer?

Single player, story, no microtransaction, and no frostbite. Vince Zampella is truly not a pushover. He got what he wanted for Apex and now for star wars. If I were a star wars fan I would buy this. Because if all this is true about the game, It should receive support just to let EA know this is what people want more of.

If they want to make a series of single player, story-based Star Wars games with no microtransactions, I am all for it!

Meh with or without Frostbite, the only studio that seems to have issues with Frostbite is BioWare the other studios that work with the engine are able to create games that don't seem any different the games from a different engine. I just hope they don't pull a Rockstar and add multiplayer of some sort after the launch.

And yet again EA ignoring what the fans want, Kotor3. Well that might be a Disney thing to, the EU is not canon.
This trailer can't be actual game content, too pretty and realistic. We'll see if this gains my attention as information comes out.
Kotor is a old game plus with the sucess of SW:TOR it is unlikely that we will see a KOTOR 3 game any time soon.
They said during the panel that the trailer is not actual gameplay but ingame assets.
Anyway, I am a sucker for playing Star Wars games specially those that let you play as a Jedi or Sith, this is very likely a game i will be buying. Just hope the story is good and the fights immersive.

Revan is cannon so its totally possible. Also Disney is *very* aware of the desire and love for the old republic hence the new movie trilogy based in the "old republic era" (its not a thousand years before the prequels but its something). In addition the trailer was a mix of cinematic and in game footage. You can clearly tell when it shows in game footage due to the drop in lighting quality. It doesn't show any actual game play though (I mean we will likely have wall running but that could be a a QTE/scripted event). From descriptions it sounds like a modern version of Jedi Academy or star wars dark souls. The latter being more suspect to week game play because so many studios try dark souls combat and fail to capture the essence of the game.

TBH my sole hope for SW lies in the animated series. Rebels was fine, Clone Wars was superb (and hopefully will be) and I'm wondering what the people behind those two get up to when TCW is done.

I suppose its nice EA has the self awareness to realize people hate those things and are marketing the fact the game (supposedly) won't have MP, mtx's, etc. They don't get any credit for it though. They (EA) are one of the worst purveyors of egregious monetization, so while its nice this game is at least promising not to do those things they don't deserve a pat on the back for it.

EA gets the brunt of bad press (they have some fault on it) but they are far from the worst like Blizzard, Bethesda, Ubisoft or Capcom for instance.
Anyway on the hype of both being advertised as playing as a Jedi and the release of Ep.IX a month later i doubt this game will have problems selling well.

Any SW item sold under the Disney regime is a hard sell by now. Is proven time and time again it just flashy effects with mental ballast sprinkled in between.
