Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor

I would not be dying so often if they just allowed me to move with the arrow keys as that is the only movement key binding that I know.

Most of my struggle is from having to get used to a whole new set of key bindings.

In spite of that though and in spite of nearly putting my fist through my monitor and keyboard last night raging over that infernal dual zipline on Coruscant....I am utterly amazed at the game and having so much fun.


I just wish they gave me a downloadable soundtrack for all the money I just gave them.

The jumps in combat difficulty are big. At some point I feel invincible and thinking about upping the difficulty (Jedi Knight). Then I meet an enemy that humbles me and I keep going without a change.

PS: I actually hate the "glider" animals. You pretty much have to use the ideal line with them, so deviating is often death.

I'm having a lot of fun with Jedi Survivor.....Even more so than I did with Fallen Order, and that was a great game. Im anxious to get to certain places and so I'm getting a little frustrated with myself that I seem to be going in circles a lot, but I'm trying to temper that with the thought of enjoying the exploration this game offers and that does make it a little easier.

But I have to say that STORY Mode really does make the combat quite easy.  the Rancor.....I totally smeared the floors with him. Even that Bedlam Raider we saw from the Trailers the first time Cal runs into Rayvis.....I used the time dilation ability to slow everything down....then I backed him into a corner and in 4 hits he was marmalized.

The "chess" type strategy table was starting to get annoying with how AI units perform better than player ones.

But then I discovered B2 droids are broken OP as hell. So I used and abused them to roflstomp the competition. Even the expensive units are no match and are essentially useless compared to a group of cheaper B2 droids.

LOL I must have did that 6 times. I stood there staring at that setup for 10 minutes trying to see what I was missing. Then it hit me and I felt so stupid.

I can't even recall what you two are talking about. Ziplines are easy.

Wait until you have to do the Force Tears with green forcefields or the balloon grapple. Now that was a controller throwing moment for me. I finished them, but would never repeat.

The patch the other day def helped with PC performance when not using ray tracing. I was going to start playing it now that frames are pretty stable but I encountered a pretty funny glitch in a cutscene that made me change my mind until another patch or 2. Gonna put it in spoiler tags but its just from the first level.

There is a certain someone you meet there as well and when first saw them....I cried. No word of a lie. I was not expecting that kind of reaction...and though it was never clearly stated in Fallen Order....I was just under the impression that (said person) was already dead. So when they appeared on screen living and breathing, I let out an audible "Aawwwww..." 🥺😥

I let myself out.

I was at about 46 hours when I finished the story and sitting at almost 49 hours with about 87% collections. I went back and forth between story and exploring then hit a stretch where I went all story. The expectation is to continue exploring and collecting once the story is done so there's no need to feel like one must collect all the things before hand. There are some very handy map upgrades to help that aren't unlocked until near the end.

The first and only time I have noticed minor to moderate FPS drops is on Koboh near the Forrest Array and it was enough to interrupt combat or platforming. But after I got past that one part it ironed itself out.

And I did have that one incident of a game crash on Coruscant but when I got back to the same spot it didn't happen again.

By and large, my PC gaming and performance has been exceptional.

As far as the overall experience is concerned I think Survivor is an amazing game in every way.
