Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor

Sooo, the game runs like crap on PC for most people. Some early solutions that worked on some machines:

- Disable the GPU and Steam/EA App overlays.

- Repair the EA App

- Switch the resolution and then change it back - that's a weird one. People turn it up with DSR or DLDSR and then drop it back down, but it might also work if you drop it down and back up to native.

- Toggle RT On and Off. It seems that it may be turned On when restarting the game, even though the toggles shows "Off". Using the toggle On and Off seems to turn it off for real.

I bought this game. A bit of stuttering in the beginning but it crashed a couple of times. I realised later that I forgot to make graphic adjustments.

The weird thing is I couldn't change resolution initially but figured it out after changing window to fullscreen. Turned off RT since I don't think I need it. Also turned off film grain, camera shake.

After that, relatively smooth.

Im anxious to find out how my PC will run Survivor. *Paws and drumsticks crossed for good performance with my hardware*

But I have to admit I am nervous and have ill thoughts that my rig will crumble under the weight of the crippling requirements.

How do I turn down the music volume to about 60% It won't let me move it from 100%.....I have tried to "Edit" and toggle the slider, but anything I have tried does not work! Please help!

Also EXTREMELY IMPORTANT:   I can't use the arrows to move!    It is forcing me to use the WASD keys, and never in my life have I ever used those keys to move in a game!   I NEED the ARROWS!

Also, it seems as though the Settings are all maxed out, but the highest I can set them is on HIGH....and yet they won't change even to Medium.  the toggle doesn't work.

I can't friggin believe that I'm not allowed to used the arrows for movement!   That is the biggest piss off I have ever experienced!   I absolutely refuse to use the WSAD keys.   Can anyone else suggest a binding for basic movement using a keyboard?

So many issues with PC launches recently

I've played the game for about 2 hours....I haven't even finished the first level....But with my new key bindings I am struggling. Though the game does look and perform perfectly! I am getting a rock solid 60 FPS with all Settings maxed out as high as I can get them on HIGH (don't know if there is any Setting higher than that) but the game looks gorgeous and it is totally stable at 4K.


My only real complete piss-off is that I can't use the functional arrow keys for movement! WHY the hell not?!


EDIT:   So I think I got near the end of the first level.......It showed a beautiful cutscene, and then *BAM!*  It crashed on me and I lost it all!  I've spent nearly hours and I'm not even finished the first level yet!  (Of course, if I had been able to use the arrows for movement I wouldn't have half the problems!)   Seriously....that is the worst programming anyone has ever done not to allow players to use the arrows to move!

On th eplus side, I've been able to change all the Graphics Quality Settings to EPIC and I still get 60 FPS with NO artifacting, popping, clipping or tearing.  And this is playing at 4K with a 2080 Super FTW3 Ultra Gaming.   So I have no idea why 4090s struggle with 1440p 

The 4090 doesn't struggle at all. It's not even used past 30% of its capabilities. The game is severely CPU bottlenecked, using only 4 threads of any CPU. Which is again just 30% of mine. The hardware is not being utilized at all. My CPU and GPU temperatures ingame barely get higher than when I am at the desktop.

Btw, there are "Epic" graphic settings that are a notch above High.

Read it again. They don't exactly acknowledge the issue. They blame the users for creating the issue, roflmao...

I've never had my GPU run so hot, though I hear it is actually a 'normal' operating temp when Gaming..... my GPU hits 67 degrees and my CPU hits about 46.  The only thing that truly bothers me is the PC Controls.....I can't use the arrows for movement because they're locked into using moving the Menus (which is the dumbest programming logic I have ever heard).  Never in my life since my earliest days of PC Gaming have I ever used the WASD keys to move.

I have found that the AMD FSR settings don't really impact my system for some reason.  But I am concerned about the temp of my GPU.  I hope they release patches that take some load off and lower the performance temp....though I know that 60 to 70 degrees C is 'perfectly normal and safe' with just about any game out there.  It's just  that in the 2 years I've had this system I've never seen my GPU or CPU go above 45 (unless I am running a FULL AV Scan.....Then my CPU bounces into the high 60s for fractions of a second while the scan is running).


And after that beautiful cutscene I mentioned last night....my game did crash and it reset all my Settings.  Even my resolution all the way down to Windowed Mode using 1280x800.....I spent 30 minutes trying to correct it.  Then I discovered I lost all my progress and have to start all over again.   2.5 hours wasted (on a beautiful level, a fun game....) but still it is disheartening.  Knowing that the game crashes now, I am going to take every opportunity to SAVE my progress.

Just tried this out on pc and ya....It's really bad. Def gonna be waiting to play this till it gets fixed up

Also - I dislike droid cruelty. Why did the devs create little droids we have to kill for treasure?
