Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor

Fallen Order looks like a Jedi Knight & Force Unleashed hybrid. Looks very fun. would get 3 months after release or so.

Lightsaber physics wasn't too hard in 2002-3 with Jedi Knight II and Jedi Academy. I don't know why it's super difficult to do it now... other than being kid-friendly.

Thanks. Dealbreaker to me is "I am done with the current (supposed) deal" AND "I don't want to make deals with you anymore, even if I might end up with it somehow". Its a somewhat drastic term (or both drastic and casual) that communicates that you don't even want to come to the table anymore.

Often that's how its used in dating, for an example. If occasional very bad breath is a 'dealbreaker', then you don't just not date someone with it, you stop dating someone who has started it, and are fairly insistent that you won't be approaching any future potential partner with it. It isn't only '"Well maybe I might date one with bad breath later down the road, if the rest of the deal is sweetened or I somehow really feel like trying it out". The deal is broken, not negotiated. To me, that means you wouldn't be including 'better/lower price' in considerations. There's no deal to make.


Games are fun even without a recognizable protagonist, so I surely wouldn't call any combination of choice or enforced sexuality/gender/race to be a 'dealbreaker' to my considerations of the game. But if you really mean 'might get at lower price down the road', that's not what I personally consider 'dealbreaker'. Semantics explained.

I think these companies will take your money in whatever amount in whatever form at whatever time they continue selling things, so there's always a 'deal' there, to me.

Very fun gameplay indeed. Although the protagonist looks bland and his sidekick... weird.

It looks interesting, but unfortunately a Mandalorian never forgets.

That said, more gore would definitely seem more in line with the old Star Wars style, circa even Prequels.

I'm also unimpressed that a lightsaber cut on the bigger baddies literally cleaves through them and only does like 3/4ths damage. I accept that they have armor and have been specifically trained for this, but for immersion sake, non-killing blows shouldn't cleave through enemies, they should be glancing blows, shallow cuts (they cauterize the wound, remember?) and such. Leave great cleaves through the enemy for killing blows. Though I do appreciate that Stormtroopers and Scouttroopers are one hit kills. It makes lightsabers seem powerful again, even if for some ironic reason the gameplay still makes them seem weaker than in KOTOR2 (where you actually did need a few hits with a lightsaber to kill any opponent, but by the time you got your first lightsaber, you could see how OVERWHELMINGLY POWERFUL it is by comparison with cortosis weave weapons - in KOTOR2 my melee build did 20 damage with cortosis weapons and then suddenly in the ballpark of 50 by just switching to a Lightsaber)

So, I watched the gameplay video with the Kashyyk mission and really liked what I saw. (And Saw Gerrera is in the game as well, which is very cool. Maybe we'll even see other cameos from the Rogue One cast.)

But one question: What's up with the light saber? It barely has any white light in the centre and look more like a glowstick or something. I hope they improve the visuals on it before launch.

For those interested,The Game's Designer talked about Dismemberment it'll be used during big moments like in a cutscene or a boss fight,they said they've used the films "as references",and they're also working with Disney so i'm guessing they had a big influence on this.

Anyway,the game looks okay but i'm keeping my expectations as low as possible you never know these days.

And i'll be the dork complaining why there isn't an option for a female protagonist.

But when i look at the video i can at least say that it looks promising ... despite the dorky main character.

I'm actually really looking forward to this. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and we need a good single-player Star Wars campaign before this generation ends.
