Two pugs I've never seen before and a brand spanking newbie. The newbie had the welfare Juggernaut from Biovar, and we played a 16:03 Hydra/Geth/Gold and a 15:53 Goddess/Reapers/Gold. Goddess would have been even faster but the newbie spent the first half of Wave 3 hack across the map from us. I politely informed him it was an objective wave and he came right on over to join us.

As in 'why can't you remain ...?'

We tanked in w6 because they (all three) got swamped on the upper platform in London. I got synched by Praetorians (four - we were on gold I think - two coming both ways) before I could get my finger on 5 as I was trying to revive them (again ... and again).

My other main thought in the match was 'when you are approached by multiple enemies that are larger than you, the correct direction to run is away'

Still, I got the gold revive medal. I think I'd got it by wave 3 but whatever.

Lesson learnt: don't attempt to revive on gold unless it's easy and safe to do so. You are not on bronze here where your TSent can walk out into the open and put two fingers/tentacles/digits/claws/hooks/whatever* up at the enemy as their bullets ping off your tech armour while you get your comrade up on his feet.

*I'm English - you can call it giving them the middle finger/tentacle/digit/claw/hook/whatever if you like.

There was just too much win in this game to sum it up in one word. I'd tried hosting my own lobby, set to Hazard Reactor/Collectors/Gold/10 Enemies at a time, but nobody joined it, so I searched for a game instead. I landed in a lobby that ended up being Hazard Reactor/Reapers, so close enough.

Wave 6 glitched, and would not end. Host and I ran to the usual spot at the top end of the Reactor and looked up. Nothing there on the box. Well, everyone ran around for like 5 minutes trying to find what was left, but there was nothing to be seen anywhere. But I heard Marauder noises on the right hand side in front of that little enclosed hallway, so I told them I was going to go upstairs and have a look around.

This was one of those times that having console commands comes in really handy. If I hadn't had them, the mission would have had to have been aborted. I teleported up on top of the support beams, and found two Marauders stuck inside of each other. It looked like there was only one of them there. I shot them, and the Wave completed. I told everyone that I'd found them, "They were up here". So everyone looked up at me standing triumphantly way up on the top of the Reactor. And I wasn't even the host. That was a pretty fun moment.

Wave 10 was Hack at the platform next to the LZ. Every time the Krogan Worlard left the Hack to Hammer spawns on the other side of the LZ (and he did this several times), I would missile the spawn just before his Hammer landed. The host even chipped in their 2 Newbie Missiles to contribute to this. At one point the Krolord just turned around and stared at us for a long moment, then started Hammering us instead. It was another fun moment.

To cap it all off, though, Wave 11 the Krolord, thinking he was invincible fighting on the ramp just below the LZ, got downed as he charged himself into a group of 2 Ravagers, 2 Brutes, and 2 dozen Swarmers as I shot their sacs open at him. Of course nobody could get in there to revive him. He bled out, and then I apologized to him, because I'd used all my missiles trolling him last Wave, so I had none left to save him with. The only reply I got was someone snorting into their mic, I'm going to guess that it wasn't him because I don't think he found it funny.

Unfortunately, I was the only one to survive Wave 11, and outscored all three of them combined. But I told them GG, came here to shitpost about them, and went to bed. I think that newbie host is an alt account, since they knew the primary spot to look for glitched enemies. GG for real man, that was fun.

Serves him right.  I'm getting more and more annoyed at people buggering off during hacks and escorts.  I learnt the phrase score-whoring on here (well, The Other Place actually but I've got to the stage where I can't remember the difference) and that's right.  I spent some time last night firing at a GI in frustration.  It's not like that kit lacks the ability to build big scores anyway.

Console commands sound excellently useful in that situation.  I must look into that.

Rio. These idiotic Slash-spamming Slayers who pug off host and get bodied by Cerberus. And a Collector who never detonated Dark Sphere or used Dark Channel. It was really me and a Human Sentinel with cryo ammo, no wonder he couldn't detonate much. Luckily I had my Batsent and we made some booms. Best moment was when I wound up being the last player alive in W10 escort and as I'm getting synched by a phantom, the drone arrives because I'm inside the zone.

Played some bronze matches for the hell of it with the Asari Adept/Arc pistol combo (Headshots galore!), then with a GI/Hurricane (I almost felt kind of sorry for the Cerberus troops). I didn't think it was even possible to reach 78k in bronze with four players, before. I guess ridiculously OP kits just do that.

"Limited Selection"

Joined some guys lobby who had 100 N7 but 86k CP, and after checking his N7HQ page, had only 'deployed' 5 kits (aside from the vanilla humans) after 4000+ hours.

So I guess they only want to play very certain kits. Strange one.


(It was the adepts btw that they had never deployed)

Hostkick

One gearless host, three geared pugs. The pugs readied up, the countdown began, and the host showed no signs of life. I placed a votekick on him. Another pug unreadied, and placed a votekick on him. A few seconds later, the host was gone. I stuck through the migration, but when the new lobby came up, I was the only one in it.

So everyone kicked him then left anyway. Awesome.
