Stupid So started a match with a pug (they were host) to do a gold reapers. Was slow progress and nobody else was joining, and I began to notice that they weren't using missiles at all. So wave 10 comes round, get targets, managed to whittle down the first 2 targets but then we start getting surrounded, it becomes an obvious kill streak with targets. I have no missiles, does the pug fire one, nope. They go down, I risk reviving them and do so but get downed myself. I have no medi-gel, they are up standing for a good 10 seconds, still no missile, they get downed and its all over. They basically threw the match for either starting a gold match with no missiles or don't know when to use missiles. Either way it's stupid.

I'm not a melee builds expert by any means, so I'll just leave my usual KroSent variations. Lot of good tips were already spoken by above gentlemen Usual: CLICKWith this I can only melee some low tier mooks, but Claymore and powers can do the rest To be honest, I very rarely use melee builds. These days I'm a sucker for those 20HS medals haha. Melee: CLICKThis is probably similar build to that which inert uses. Probably he's the biggest fan of it on BSN, so for more details, you should go and ask him Also Graal is a weapon to go on this one. I'd switch it to Venom for really bad hosts, coz I think it behaves the best from all the projectile weapons, in terms of playing off host. Oh, and just to stay on topic: BadAfter Suzanne told me that I'm amazing player, I decided to make sure that's true 1st attempt: gip Cerberus/Condor/Wave 7. Landed and immediately got gang banged by those aggressive, sword wielding, ladies. Bailed. 2nd attempt: gip Geth/ReactorH/Wave 2. Was pretty gud. Wave 3 introduced me to a feature, when you're doing the escort on your own, while stupid Krolord/Reegar were on the other side of the map. Second guy wasn't better either. So after I finished the objective, I said to them that if this happens again, I'm out. Wave 6 gave us hack. Fortunately it was much better experience, as the only one scorewhoring was, again, Krolord guy. I was tired but decided to stick with them till the end, coz others were really trying. Wave 10 came up and we had targets. I couldn't be bothered anymore so I nuked 3 out of 4 of them. Then I think Krolord (who was hosting btw) decided to bow out, despite him being well on top of the edongboard. Welp, after host migration, I finished the game alone, which gave me nice gold solo to my N7HQ 3rd attempt: As they say - 3rd time lucky - maybe it would be, but I landed gip on London/Cerb/Wave 4. No familiar faces whatsoever so I decided to quit and call it a night.

ZOMBIES!
Giant Hazard/sumthing dying in masses/Gold
The forces of the Rippaz took a severe hit today, when I decided to run Zombiemod. It was a thrilling round, often times clutching a wave or two with just one other pug, but after nearly 27 mins, we all exfiled, knowing that we held our ground against the onslaught.

Wiped. Nobody would come so I set it to Gold/Glacier/Reapers and grabbed my new lover, Valkyrie/Talon a.k.a. " O"--as I named her because lazy--and some level 1 consumables as I knew this was a fight I couldn't possibly win. Long story short, a Destroyer with a Harrier/Black Widow combo dropped in on wave 2 and they were pretty good. Still not good enough to help a n00b like me. I can't even duo gold ( DistigousForest can bear witness to this) So when wave 3 came, RNG couldn't have had it any other way so it gave us targets, for some reason 3 of them banshees. So down to only 2 missiles, which were quickly spent along with most of my ops packs and remaining gels on wave 6, again, targets. We really tried but it wasn't meant to be. Both got downed on wave 7 and after the mandatory prayer for a new mate arrival as we were lying helpless next to each other, smashing the A button, Narrator said to O: Miss, you're a scrub, I'm getting out of here.

I may go radius on incinerate just to try and panic mobs in a spawn, and I equip disruptor for techbursts and dealing with shields. Graal is more of a stagger stick than anything else. Lift 'nades are too powerful and don't suit the idea of getting in close. I also user Beserker and Cyclonic as Krogan foot speed is already pretty decent. AM3 is fun though.

Lonely.
Had a couple of well-attended pugs this morning but no one was joining my gold lobby come the afternoon. I decided to drop down to silver and take it easy. Surely just one pug would come along.
Nope. Ended up solo-ing, first with my vorcha engineer then with my Mantis SI. I like a good solo game as much as the next person, but I felt like playing in a team today *cue violins.* I'l try again later tonight!

Is it just my imagination, or have they done something to the store? I'm reasonably sure that in say, a Spectre Pack, I used to get both Medi Gels and Ops Packs in the same pack. (Not sure about Ammo and Cobras). Now I'm only getting either Gel, Ops, Cobra or Ammo. It wasn't always like that, was it?

Wave 11. One bleeds out camping the LZ. Forgot to tap the spacebarthingy. One other followed suit. The last one and me didn´t make exfil either. I don´t know what he was doing, but I waited a tad to long to make my way to exfil.

Duo from hell
Reactor/Prollectors/Gold
Started solo, because after what felt like an eternity, I had it with waiting for the lobby to fill up. By wave 3 ( after finishing the objective ofc ), I got joined by someone who seems to have never heard of the concept of kiting. But that aside, we made it to wave 11 with lots of dying. First thing the pug does? Trying to hold the LZ. Oh, and nuking. Didn´t take him long to realize that my spot is better. Out of gel and ops, I decide to go for the yolo play and go as late as possible. Manage to hit lz with a sec to go, only to promptly go down to a Scion. Pls kill me nao.

I had to give up on Gold after finding no takers for a bit, but after a Silver I found another solid Gold player (tee hee) and was able to put together a nice run of PuGs.
First time I played in a while, but I think I'll be playing regularly for a bit.

Male Engie. Katana X. No equipment. Joined in at the end of wave 3. Was the aggromagnet numero uno from the getgo. Despite a Juggy in the team. Or maybe because. Also, Vorcha Soldier ( "I´m Alive" but no "Graaaaagh" ) with sabre and Carrier TGI ( "I´m down" ). Got second place. With only 50k missing for that juicy first place. Note to self, try harder!

THEYREDEAD!
Sorry I know that's not one word, but they are. The Sugarhill Headbutt gang made sure of it.
I bumped into some very nice folks last night who were down for all sorts of weird stuff, mixes, and shenanigans. First game featured 2 Valkyries breaking hell loose on G/Reactor/Collectors. Those ugly cheaters didn't know what hit them. Later last night a Kroguard with no equipment joined my lobby and readied up for UUG. We got Condor/Geth so I figured it would be a scrub fest but we actually made it. He made sure to headbutt at my Asari buttocks everytime he passed near me and that was the start of a great relationship that only got better as we both went Kroguards for the next game. Third Guy joined midgame and for a couple of games he resisted the call of Tuchanka, but on the third one he gave in a little bit and went Batguard. During that game Fourth Guy dropped in and after seeing us smack the motherboards out of Prime after Prime like they were simple peasants, promptly switched to the Warlord (he didn't have a Kroguard yet. Sad.). Third Guy finally conceded and also picked the Kroguard , but since Fourth Guy didn't have it, I switched to the Warlord for the sake of homogeneity After some 3 or 4 games it started to get old and we tried going Crotch-Punch-Hate-Surfing but sadly one of the PUGs didn't have a Volus yet. That caused us to try an all-Talon Mercs run and though we managed to extract it was a helluva tough game. After that game Third Guy left (guess he wasn't really part of the gang) and Fifth Guy came along. PUG level 40ish, wielding proudly a level 10 Jugg/Katana no equipment. The rest followed suit and mimicked it but then they changed to a vanilla kit We started the game like that and surprisingly wiped on wave 5 or 6 iirc. After that the gang was so ashamed of themselves they promptly dismantled and went each their own way. Still, last night my faith in PUGs was restored. Edit: if anybody here knows how to embed YT videos please let me know. Edit: thanks to MPApr2012 for walking me through the basics of video posting haha.

Fanatics
Dropped into a Rio with Collectors. I don't know what's with the other three but they acted as if their pants were on fire. They dove into the mobs. I would applaud such enthusiasm if they weren't dying so often and using their rockets. I became highly annoyed because of their judgement calls on the husks. I died three times because they shot up the husks near me before I could dodge out of the way and once when I was attempting to rez one of them. I dropped out at wave 9, totally fed up.
Rage Quit
Played a plat on my jug with the host. We were doing well until wave 8, when he got his dance card signed by a banshee. I couldn't get a missile off; he was right next to me, in time. I had to clear the rest. Wave 9, someone popped in, and then host got skewered by a phantom. He rage quit. I dropped as well since I've an idea I would end up the host and I can't be that.

Bok-bok-bok host
That's what I think. Dropped into a Rio with Reapers in wave 2. Noticed there were two turians and one krogan. Wave 3, deliver pizza. I was the nearest so I picked it up and began to run to drop off point. Imagine my surprise when I see two PAs among the cannibals and husks. Modded game. I was forced to drop the pizza because there's a horde in my way. The only one who was actively escorting me was the player krogan.
The other two turians were hanging right at the back, in the area of crates. Knowing I had to retreat and the pizza was dropped, you'd expect them to provide support. Nope, only the krogan and I were trying to clear. This lead me to suspect the krogan player is probably not the host. The host is probably one of the turian bok-boks. I think they were infils; saw one of them de-cloak. I left the game at that point.
I'm not fond of modded games. While I sympathise with the desire to add variety, I don't trust modders because they could purposely spawn s*** on top of other players for the laughs while they hide themselves and pick off the mobs.

Clueless Dropped into Rio gold with Cerberus, wave 5. Player at the top had 70k plus points, 2nd player had less than 20k. 4th player came in. 2nd and 4th and I stick together at the crate area, the host (top player) was all by himself at the other side. I had no idea if he had fired missiles, I was focused on the mobs on our side but it was obvious he was mowing down everything over there. End of wave 8, the three of us had varying scores of 30k. Host had over 170k plus. Wave 9, no mobs at our side so we began to move to host's area. I was about to run up the steps when I heard the missile shots, from the host. Spawn killing. Another clueless host. I wish these type of hosts could get it into their heads that other people want to play. If they want to be top dogs, spawn-kill, kindly go play by themselves and not waste people's time. No one is going to stand around and applaud them after the match for their 'top skills'. All they'll feel is annoyance, not enjoyment / satisfaction; that was a good match. I just drop out, no point playing.

I don't mind carrying, but sooner or later it gets to the point where I get annoyed at the slow progression. At that point, if I spot a good spawn, I will missile it, no regrets whatsoever and no fucks given. If I'm with good players, I will use missiles as intended, or not at all. Point is, by the time missiling spawns comes into play, score doesn't play any role anymore. Never did in the first place, but at that point, you just say to yourself, fuck it, might as well enjoy myself. So you go to town and missile the everloving fuck out of some phantrolls, goonbags and scumbag engineers. If you happen to catch a nemesis or two as well, all the sweeter.

If the pugs are clearly not able to withstand the mobs; dying every several seconds or all dying, leaving you to finish a wave. I know exactly how weak pugs can be. I would missile in objective waves when they clearly demonstrate they cannot complete them. I don't missile spawns however. That was not the case with that match. The other two were not dying like clay pigeons. We were acting in concert together, cleaning up the mobs on that side. I had no idea what the host was doing except he was cleaning house. I do know he was playing cabal armed with the reegar. I guessed he put in a ammo 4 because the mobs melted down like butter when I saw him go against them. I have no idea what was going through the host's mind. In such a situation, I always interpret as a desire to be top dog. But I've to consider that he could be impatient, he wanted to get the match over and done with; we were too slow in cleaning up. Or he could be thinking we're all idiots who didn't know what we were doing and decided to finish the match fast. Who knows. I do know, I get fed up. Cool, I can stand around like a statue for the next wave and let you mop up, you don't need me to play the game. Except that I don't want to be a statue. I want to play. Since I can't, I leave.

Clueless Spawn killing. Another clueless host. I'm not sure I would agree with your definition of clueless. I do completely understand your preference for teamwork but at the same time they're his missiles and he can do what he wants with them. In a co-op game where score is absolutely totally and completely irrelevant, I have a different reaction - I usually tend to think "Oh look, we have someone who cares about coming top of the scoreboard", but it doesn't annoy me in the slightest. Wanting to be top dog isn't a crime, even if it seems a little silly or even inconsiderate. I honestly dgaf about score but I'm aware when some people do. I managed to troll a host with a fragile ego the other day and it made the game tremendous fun. My ickle Volus Merc / Falcon was destroying Geth pretty much on his own and it was clear that the Jugg host's nose was out of joint. My reaction to his missiles was "Let's get paid!" and as we did I fired all my missiles in the air on extraction. Back in the lobby he switched to an AIU/Reegar and I quit. There may be other factors to consider, like simply wanting the game to be over quickly. Or maybe he read things differently and was frustrated by you guys hanging out together on the wrong side of Rio, or something. Who knows? I agree with mordokai and will occasionally missile spawns myself, but it never has anything to do with score - sometimes it's pure revenge and sometimes it's to make sure we make it to wave 10 or whatever. Anyone who plays on PS3 also should know how essential nuking double Praetorian spawns is, so it's understandable if some of that mentality bleeds through into other circumstances. If I'm playing with BSNers I will generally restrict myself to Targets objectives or saving teammates (though burning a TCP seems to work better for me), but sometimes there's a Killstreak right in front of me and the temptation is just too strong. Fuck 'em, especially those double Prime spawns! BOOM! Asari Huntress with Claymore. Gloryass.

Gloryass. I can definitely say my POV and play style is different has changed through the years. After playing for so long, changes are inevitable. Revenge isn't my style, fire missiles (at nothing) in frustration and rage quit, yes. Before, sometimes I would missile in the last seconds of the evac in wave 11 to clear out the mobs. Now I don't. I just kite the mobs (usually banshees / brutes, etc) around / near the LZ just for the fun / challenge of it; would I last? Would I be able to dodge them until the last second? What would the pugs do? How would they respond? Most surprisingly (some time this year), I ran across players (now and then) who seem to have the same idea because we were zig zagging like rabbits around the LZ or coolly waiting because we had kited the mobs away and 'dumped them on the other side of the map. When it's a team extract, I wish I could turn to them and high fives. My ammo manifest is low so nowadays I'm using drill and AP grade 2 ammo for gold matches. I have other better grade ammo but I chose to use those. Why? It forces me to change the way I play, especially the AA.

I have other better grade ammo but I chose to use those. Why? It forces me to change the way I play, especially the AA. That's my approach every time. I've been lucky enough to have like-minded teammates quite a lot recently, leading to what I think of as perfect team extractions on Ghost, Reactor, London and Condor in particular - maps where camping around the EZ is just plain stupid (if admittedly entertaining the way you describe). Anything else will mildly irritate me in the same way as the spawn-nuking gets to you. Each to their own I guess, which was kinda my original point. As for the AA, using the Suppressor and Locust means I can use one of my many many Targeting VI boosters rather than a weapon amp. She gets me 20 headshots by the start of wave 2 just about every time I use her, and she destroys Cerberus in particular, struggling only slightly with Atlases. Some people (hey Clyde) skip Stasis but I'm way too much of a scrub for that!

Bored Time
That's me btw. Tried a plat, two French guys talking away. I enabled voice chat to hear what they're saying. It's 'super fun' when the game started. At every wave, the host spawn kill the first group. Then banshees when he didn't want to handle them. Ok, he wants a fast game, after all, it's his missiles. His game. Right? I got a nothing game. I left at wave 4. Thanks for wasting my time.

Had a solid lobby that made for some smooth games. I'm just disappointed that I only killed 1 teammate in the rage core

Had a nice match with my Volus -one punch- vanguard in noveria/Reapers/gold. til' the host started to complain, with his shitty ass mic, about not playing objectives and shit. this asshole was using a cheesereegar with inciendiary in a paladin FFS. got kicked afterwards...
TL;DR
if you see a guy named baile_Waka or something, NUCC 'EM.
