Mentorship
Couldn't get any gold pugs going so I figured I'd mosey around in silver for a bit. Ended up having a newbie HSol join so I readied up to give him some free credits.
RNG smiled upon us as we landed on Noveria vs Martin Sheen's mercenaries. My Assgard kicked ass while guarding the ass of my teammate. They died a few times, but overall they were solid and managed to hold their own.
As fate would have it the PUG ended up as the lone survivor due to my last minute death at the hands of a crafty Nemesis. Having Lift Grenades turns me into a bloodlusted madman and as I poked my head out for one last toss...boom, I ded.
Pug tried to revive me but alas, my blue, barely clothed body remain frozen on Noveria while the Pug escapes to safety to tell the tale of the drunken blue asari who stuck her ass in his face before dying.

"Husquell that urge to speedrun."
Hosted a match where all Infiltrators joined up, so I switched to MY SI+Claymore. Felt bad for the sniper as we got Glacier/Rippers. But the above mentioned was a Huntress+Talon who definitely laid down the hurt. Everything was going smoothly enough, until the missiles started flying on wave 4 or so. The use wasn't terrible, as it was a clear speedrun attempt. Score padding occurs in objective/later waves. I ran clean up but I don't care for speedruns unless agreed upon. Also, why Gold? Plat will net more exp/creds if that's your goal.
"Silence"
Powerdandy joined and the Inferno Grenades were liberally spread over the Collectors on Rio. My Grenadeless KroSol+Claymore had an easy time detonating Fire 'splosions. Oddly PD wasn't his usual vocal self, staying silent despite not topping the scoreboard.

LookWhoIsStillAlive I changed team, teleported in his place, used my heavy melee and made him stagger in order for him to fall out of the map and respawn at the lz, but nothing, he was stubborn and decided to go in that place again. While shouting on his mic something like "That's stupid, guys" and other gibberish. Tecdet, tecdet never changes.

Definitely a superb player and will use interesting kit combinations, although always relying on some form of OP power/weapon. KSent with PPR and Lift Grenade spam, or in this case a BatSol with a Typhoon and Inferno Grenade spam. Both cool to see, if a little strong for Gold. I would argue that both are blasphemous as well. Krogan need to be pure melee, use a Claymore or both. BatSol needs to stagger and brutalize, jimming is a must. Inf nades could be specced into, sure (I avoid them for gold as they kill far too quickly), but should be used sparingly if done so.

... Krogan need to be pure melee, use a Claymore or both. ... "I like this Human! He understands!"BOOM Kroguard, Asari Adepts (both kinds) and Claymores (and a Paladin pistole) departed on a Mission on a snowy FB White . Cerberus was in for a bad day when the Claymores started firing and the Biotic and Fire Explosions started. It was wonderful. Just the late joing Carrier-TGI disapeared early

Dull dull dull The most funny thing I found in the Reaper gold match is the host spawn whamping in wave 11. Funny because the other players were dressed to the nines; incendiary 4 ammo, grade 10 weapon (reegar, widow), top grade in other kits. The match went by very fast because the host was playing a krogan armed with a reegar, ran about the map like a happy boy, throwing grenades and reegaring everything in sight. He left a couple of banshees to me since I was a jug. Then to finish off, missile spawns in 11. I'm wondering why I played it. Quite a few dull matches. boom boom boom. Boom weekend.

I landed in a lobby with a couple of BotBs - Paladin host and a Demolisher. A Destroyer dropped in and I switched to a Fury. We got Cerberus on Rio, and came out with 40 Revives logged between three of us. Some smooth waves, some pretty tough ones. Mission Successful though, with the host and myself doing the heavy lifting. Fuck Cerberus.

Trolled Two UUG out of three turned out to be Condor/Cerberus started both with free slots in the lobby, and nobody could join in either (though many tried... especially during escort objectives) and the reward: three consecutive upgrades for the Argus If you really want me to quit, game, you can simply refuse to start, no need for this kind of passive-aggressive attitude. On a more positive note, shout out to docsteely and inert for a string of thoroughly enjoyable matches over the weekend! Invisible primes and raging Reegar VolEng - both in the same match! - nothwistanding, pure bliss

Seems Sonashii has put the gulags for his minions on hold. About the invisible primes, I left the game and returned hoping the change of host would fix the problem; sorry if it did not.

Agreed, PD is one heck of a player, especially when he concentrates on the game and less on berating the PUGs. 3. My man, I love the way you think, though IMO for the Krodept the Wraith is the better gun. Remind me to get my scums out next time we play together, 'cuz as Sona says, scums are life...

The Shaman is a bit of a quirky Krogan and may be the only acceptable kit to play Power/Weapon focused instead of Melee. If such is the case, the Wraith is an excellent fit without removing too much "Krogan-ness." However, even with the Wraith (with smart choke+HVB) you should still take the time to backhand a few enemies every match. Personally, I prefer the melee/barrier build with a Graal. It does make him behave very similar to my Melee KroSent, which means I usually only break him out in biotic lobbies.

Defrosting/derusting Have played and equal amount of entertaining and frustraiting matches with PUGs last week, trying to defrost or derust my fingers after several months' break, simply on LOLsilver (pc manifest anxiety). Ran into the infamous Monalisa - had to look them up in this PUG thread after my kickvote fest with him/her. Looks like I've gotten the better end of the monalisa stick: he/she has been alone, has even medigelled and has not yelled at me during game. Or, could be that I was blesssed by our mics being somehow incompatible: I can hear many/most people, I think, but mine doesn't work in Origin, either. I did get a kickvote after our successful duo, and a few other times after pugging into gip. No other problems with him/her, though -- maybe losing his/her sidekick and slumming in Silver has made ML more mellow? It's nice getting some game time again. I think I'll try to keep this up.

Why don't the bad ones leave? I haven't seen the likes of Mona or Tecdet in a while but it is disconcerting to see other BSNers run into them. BTW, Mona and their friend will kick if manifest is low OR if you outscore them. There is no pleasing those two. The only upside is that at least we can understand the motive, unlike IAI who remains a mystery to this day (but at least doesn't kick and likely does not gripe over the mic).

Seems Sonashii has put the gulags for his minions on hold. I don't put my minions in gulags just for playing "OP" characters. When they are dicks, ingore objetcives, scorewhore on purpose etc. cheat (teleport camping on Hydra for example) - that deserves a gulag The Shaman is a bit of a quirky Krogan and may be the only acceptable kit to play Power/Weapon focused instead of Melee. Man, you're so a demanding If we played your version of ME 3, infiltrators, grenades, power based krogans, Javelin, Black Widow, Reegar, Wraith, Incendiary ammo and so on, would be perma banned from the game. Personally I don't mind people bringing so called "OP" characters to a gold match. It's their choice, their preference. Maybe that's what makes their game more fun, and why would I deny people to have that opportunity? Hell, sometimes, after a hard day, I like to bring something strong to gold, and kick some stuff, for relaxation. Maybe some people don't enjoy platinum, so why should they leave their top tier gear, character at home? It's just a game, an old one on top of that. If they don't play platinum where should they use that gear? I don't understand that mindset. If someone wants to play AIU/Reegar, fine, go and have fun. Sometimes I may be angry at flamer trooper while I'm trying to snipe, but in the end it's just a game. You can't expect random people to adjust their playstyle to your preference I believe that many people (in general) that complains about OP kits on gold, silver etc. are just butthurt coz their epeen does not allow them to finish the game in 2nd place That's my impression. Wanna play your way, why not team up with some buddies and go to town with Shurikens? That being said, I'm down for playing some shitty weapons games in the future I should show some love to Locust or Incisor lol Ran into the infamous Monalisa Welp.. I'm glad? / sad? to say that you've met some famous people from my country. According to N7HQ, Monalisa is 3rd person in my country, with highest CP rank. Biala_Kawa (White_Coffee) is right behind him At least I'm glad your game was somewhat bearable? EDIT: OPHere's a pic from my last pug. It's like a dreams come true, right Inert?

The only upside is that at least we can understand the motive, unlike IAI who remains a mystery to this day (but at least doesn't kick and likely does not gripe over the mic). I ran into Monalisa and their friend very often at some point last year, just to get kicked out every single time. Then I landed in their game in progress, so they couldn't kick me. At some point both of them got sync killed and I think I was left alone and finished off the wave (I think they even said thanks). The surprising part: They didn't kick me when we got back to the lobby, so stayed for another match just to get kicked after that one. On topic: Fun
Hosted some Glacier games and got Collectors only in the very last one! Five or six games all around 16 minutes and fun. Mostly without nuking, except for some wave 11 missiles from some people. Slow
Decided to host a lobby and not preset it to Glacier for the first time in a pretty long time. Picked the Juggernaut and readied up alone. And the first thing the game threw at me was Rio/Cerberus. At least no objects, but still that map is so huge and the Juggernaut so slow. Slower
Wanted to play one more game and started alone again. One player that was in the game before joined again during wave 1 or 2. Nobody else joined and we cleared Vancouver in a long 40 minutes game from Reapers. Seemed like a new player/manifest, but we stuck together and helped each other. That was a nice game!

Rusty. Hadn't played ME3MP in a year and a half, but suddenly became nostalgic for it. Coming back really hammers home what a great mode it is. The variety of the playstyles, the humor, the booms... ME3MP forever

Wanna play your way, why not team up with some buddies and go to town with Shurikens? That being said, I'm down for playing some shitty weapons games in the future I should show some love to Locust or Incisor lol lol, trust me I'm not serious about this. Everything below is my opinion with only the bolded part mattering. Firstly, I don't expect anyone to play by my lofty expectations. I merely respect the players that do. What I stress is that I do not understand how anyone can enjoy playing OP kits on Gold unless it's an agreed upon speedrun, solo, or if you know you're carrying some fresh-faced puggies around. When you've been playing for as long as we have, you already understand the endgame and variety is key to staving off boredom. But ultimately it is "to each their own." Doesn't mean I can't make the odd comment about it or praise the work of our favorite local Lizard for his themed challenges. Secondly, most of us got into ME for the single player. We know how different characters should behave and there is something off about seeing kits that don't make sense to the lore. The same is true for Plat in general, seeing the mixture of factions fight against you at once. Sure it's just a game, but I have more fun when things click. But I know I'm weird here. Finally, I think the experience of the group matters when playing a co-op game. If I see a player lining up a melee kill I will try not to fire, etc. Score be damned. You should know I don't mind finishing in last place.

If I see a player lining up a melee kill I will try not to fire, etc. Score be damned. You should know I don't mind finishing in last place This is where I'm a jerk and I differ a little. If it's alive and in front of me I'm going to kill it; idgaf about what the other players are trying to do

HardDuring the applying my daily dose of Scums (you should try it out Doc!), I bumped into "fresh" lobby, where I met people with low manifest (or I should say with low ranking pts). I was rocking CSR and CSMG for challenge pts (100k CP is very close!) on my sentinel scum. But since there was another Scum, TGI/Harrier and Destroyer/Lancer in the lobby, I felt pretty confident about the game. Welp, to be honest it wasn't very pretty. Game finished in almost 30 mins, with people dying left and right, host being afk for the most of the time, and LZ picnic during the extraction. With that being said, I was yelling at people for staying in the EZ (we were playing on ReactorH). Fortunately one guy listened to me and stayed beside me. Moreover he was the lone survivor, coz I got brutalized with 12 sec to go "Like the pro I was".. I said my goodbyes and left the lobby with shame When you've been playing for as long as we have, you already understand the endgame and variety is key to staving off boredom. Well that's the thing. Experienced player with 1000+ hr know what's what, but everyone was a newbie at some point. I'm relatively "new" to this game. Or I was new not so long ago, but if someone plays from time to time, why would I complain about his/her GI? In the end I don't know everyone's manifests, so shrug. And trust me, I like to shitpost about stupid pug games as much as the next guy Or maybe I'm too soft, and I have too good heart for dem minions haha. Secondly, most of us got into ME for the single player. We know how different characters should behave and there is something off about seeing kits that don't make sense to the lore. Like your Claymore wielding Turian? Okay, I'm not opening this can of worms again haha. But you'd be surprised if you saw my Shepard builds from a couple of years ago. To this day I like to check my old saves and see how stupid my builds were, so the knowledge is not certainty. This is where I'm a jerk and I differ a little. If it's alive and in front of me I'm going to kill it; idgaf about what the other players are trying to do You sir are a true renegade. This deserves a THUNDERDOME. I hope your mustard device is finally ready, coz you'll need it Yeah, I'm such a paragon like that

Lookout, Tecdet may want you to fly to the Bronx where he lives to fight him in real life. Oh yeah! "YOU NO PLAY NO LIKE RAMBO!"

And trust me, I like to shitpost about stupid pug games as much as the next guy Or maybe I'm too soft, and I have too good heart for dem minions haha. The players I refer to are not new. For example, an AIU with a Reegar III with no piercing is not a problem. But a Warp/Incendiary Reegar X AVS on Gold? Come on. Granted a player can knock themselves out, but personally I wouldn't take advantage of such broken elements even on platinum. I'm allowed to judge (and avoid that player) just as much as they're allowed to pick that kit. You mean Locust-wielding Turian? I do love the Claymore, but I find it isn't quite OP in most instances. For example the Claymore on a Turian is a step down in DPS from the Raider, Wraith, Hurricane, Harrier, etc. I also think it works Lore-wise as Turians are trained military and with Marksman to boot. They're tougher than humans and I figure they could handle the weapon. If anything, my Claymore HSol doesn't make sense. Although I prefer not to bring him out on Gold unless the curry is expected, and even then it'll be lower level consumables. Same is true of the Sal Infi, but I rarely play as Infiltrators.

Geth
Played four games today, (haven't played in ages), and they were all Geth. Only one was pre-set where everyone was Krogan, so I switched to the Kroguard and had a lot of fun despite the laggy 'no-charge thing'.
Also seemed to be harder to get a Gold lobby than before.
