I actively don't want to see: Fenris, Vivienne, Wynne (she should be dead by now), Sebastian
I don't care about seeing: All characters from Awakening (except Oghren!), Aveline, Bettany/Carver

I am confident that he will atleast gets a cameo. Also for me slave Fenris cameo is a must for DA 4.
Here are mine.
Arl Teagan: I really hate Arl Teagan and DA 4 would be a better game if don´t show up. Corypheus, Duncan, Flemeth, both Mabaris and Wynne should stay dead.
DAO: Alistair, Leliana, Morrigan (plus Kieran) and Zevran should stay with their warden.
DA2: Merrill should stay with Hawke and her friends Aveline, Bethany/Carver and Varric in Kirkwall.
DAI: Blackwall, Cassandra, Cole, Leliana, Sera, Varric and Vivienne aren´t needed for DA 4. I really don´t care for any MP character (These doesn´t include Isabela)
Last but not least characters who had enough screentime in series: Alistair, Cullen, Cassandra, Leliana, Loghain, Teagan, Varric and Xenon.
Yeah so no more Leliana!!!

It makes the world feel small, rarely goes well and it's awkward to pretend that you don't know them because you're playing a new protagonist.

It depends if a character would have make sense to show up in Tevinter they not use him or her? But the majority has no reason to be in Tevinter, Seheron or Weisshaupt/Anderfels.

Yes, I completely HATED what they did to Teagan in DA:I. He was quite a nice guy in DA:O, and in the DLC he just became a total dick. But yes, you may talk about side characters, but there aren't many I care too much, I guess. But I'd really love to see Bodhan and Sandal again. When I recruited the enchanter in DA:I, I really thought I was going to meet Sandal, but then... Dagna. Meh.

Well, in ME it's an entire galaxy and you meet every companion plus a lot of side characters on sequences.

There are a few but most could be dead. I really despises Petrice but its very unlikely that she will ever return in a DA game. Velanna is also one of the characters i hate but she has an unfinished and interessing story with the Architect so i would welcome her return.
I really Dagna and also three times in a row the same runecrafter would be boring.
By the way i have never thought that we are going to see Sandal in Skyhold but at the Empress Celenes Winterpalace i totally expect them.
Not gonna happen. Shale gave up on that idea in Asunder. Maybe she change her mind? Its still possible.
