Which characters DO you want to return in DA 4?

Solas, Sten, Valta, Feynriel, Shale, Harding and Dorian. And it would be nice to see Bodahn and Sandal again.

Morbidly curious thought. What if BioWare kills off Varric at the start of DA4, and she takes his crossbow in rememberance?

OK, so here's my thoughts on who should return for DA4:

Dorian: We're most likely going to Tevinter, so we're going to need him to be present. Simple as that.

Sten: If we're going into Tevinter, and Tevinter's at war with the Qunari, then Sten is another must-have.

Shale: It'd be cool to have her around. She was supposed to show up in DA2. And DAI had a distressing lack of golems in general, something DA4 needs to rectify.

Harding: She seems like she'd make a fine starting companion and actual romance option .

The Inquisitor: So it seems obvious that the Inquisition will play some sort of role in the next game, judging from Trespasser's ending, so having the big boss as a major character seems like an obvious choice.

The Architect: Awakening characters have gotten the short end of the stick, but I'd like to see that change... especially since I heard Archie was meant to show up in DAI independently of his fate in DAA.

Velanna: Alongside the Architect, or in relation to the Solas plot.

Sigrun: Suffice to say I'll be very sad if she doesn't show up anywhere after DAA...

Merrill: I think she can play a role regarding the Solas plot. Hopefully as an ally, rather than an enemy.

Maevaris Tilani: Come on. She needs to show up.

Characters I want to return:

Yeah thats about it. To avoid the ''little world'' effect and for the sake of keeping things fresh and interesting I hope Bioware wont make a lot of characters return in the next DA:I.

I want to see Lily again because I REALLY want to know what happened at Aeonar.

I'm just thinking about followers, not npc's and I don't want to see any followers from DAO (especially Morrigan), except Leliana because she can be Divine and that might be a factor, and Zev because he is delightful. I'm dying to see anyone from Da2, except Anders who is dead in all my games. And I loved everyone from DAI (yes, even you Vivienne), so I wouldn't mind running into any of them. I do expect to see Dorian and Bull because I want some kind of extra reward for all the trouble I had to go through to finally get my Doribull ending while still romancing Solas. 💖💞💝

Marius. He's like a more handsome Carver but without being the protagonist's brother (hopefully). 10/10 husband material

Leliana and Alistair

Dorian. He was one of my favorite new characters in Inquisition and I think they set him up quite nicely for the sequel. He'll have a lot of interesting insights if (the majority of) the game takes place in Tevinter.
