The only update I'm not completely sold on (I'll have to see it in action) is the change to Darkvision. They made it, essentially, a dim flashlight.

I wonder why they changed the subclass name from totem warrior to wildheart, did they mention it during the panel?

We've just released Hotfix #20 for Baldur's Gate 3. This update brings Patch 7 to Mac OS users, and contains multiple bug and crash fixes, tweaks UI issues and makes your party members less likely to injure themselves by jumping off high walls.

Well, after about completing 50% of early access with the Barbarian, I must say that I enjoy myself much more than I thought I will. My preferences will always lie in playing caster classes, but I must applaud Larian for making the barb so much satisfying to play. It's the little things, the animations, the rage scream, the barb intimidation dialogue choices, it's tons of fun. I do must say that there is some sort of power creep with each class introduced, Druid is stronger than Cleric, then Sorc is stronger than Wizard, and Barb is stronger than Fighter... Hopefully the former will get some of their own reasons to play them.

"I never expected us to be 400 people to make BG3," Vincke told me. "Nobody expected it. But it's literally what we needed to do it. We had a choice. There was a moment where we started understanding what we needed to do to make this game. We thought we understood. Then we actually really understood. And so we had two choices: we could scale it down, or we could scale ourselves up. And so we chose to scale ourselves up."

Larian's currently working on Baldur's gate itself, building out the city, and also filling out D&D's spell library and implementing its remaining classes. Then there's time-consuming polish, which is why he announced that Baldur's Gate 3 won't be fully finished until 2023.
