I mean, I think we all knew gnomes were going to happen sooner or later because they're in the Player's Handbook. I'll be shocked if we don't get half-orcs by release as well. Dragonborn might be sliiiightly harder to implement, but they did lizardpeople in DOS2 already so they can probably manage that, too.
All the PHB races will be in the game at launch. Some people are bugging Larian about Gnomes, because there are already Gnomes NPCs in the EA.

So they released Baldur's Gate themed cards for MTG. Some are for BG3 characters and avoid them if you don't want spoilers, because one spoil something that is only known via datamining for one of those characters.
Zelvor's card has him surrounded by tentacles, via datamining it was discovered he was working for the Absolute and he was taking the refugees to the Moonrise Tower.
They were attacked because the Priestesses and the Bugbear don't like competition.
I've been looking at some more recent datamining stuff and looks like they changed quite a bit the Act 1 part 2 story (the content we can't play beyond the Grymforge). It explain why Nightsong stuff was removed a few patches ago. She's still in the game, most of her background lore seems to remain the same, but her plot involvement was changed.
None-spoilery version: They seems to have revamped the Ketheric Thorm's family drama and the events related (that all happened centuries ago) and Ketheric's role in the current era.
Maybe we got it all wrong. The Absolute is Bane, Bhaal and "Shar posing as Myrkul". This is a joke...maybe.
Looks like Ketheric was revived by the Absolute cultists and switched god(s) instead of what was in patch 3 where he was stuck in the Shadowfell and still a Shar's Chosen.
Ketheric's daughter, Isobel, backstory was altered as is her involvement in the plot(s). Haslin isn't linked to her anymore, but that was changed in patch 4 I think. Her story links to the Nightsong now.
How the Shadow Curse can be removed/dispelled/ended was changed/complexified.
Next Panel from Hell (and patch 8) tease (in case the tweet doesn't work for everyone): This PFH is going to be the most entertaining one yet. High concept, maximum hijinks, and higher production values. A lot of laughter in the scrum. But that’s enough teasing. There will be no teases, taunts, or tells this time.
Entertaining. Production value. Laughter in a scrum (hideous laughter spell). So Bards?
- People who have tadpoles and realize they are being controlled by the Illithid are disposed off, by ceremorphosis being triggered. Now we know why the Absolute is sending people to kill us, it's because something is interfering with the ceremorphosis process. I think the dream sequences when we use the tadpole are related to that. It's just not clear if Daisy is the entity interfering or the Absolute.
- There is a case of Infernal magic removing the tadpole without killing the host. The host had a pact with the fiend thought, I'm not sure if that has an impact on the process. But that means Raphael is a legit path. Also, there might still be some infernal plot in Baldur's Gate from the looks of it.
- The protagonists party include Minsc, I wonder if they are going to show up in BG3. They are all from Baldur's Gate.
- Minsc lost his memories in a previous comic series related to the Descent to Avernus module. Shadowheart is going to have company.

Sounds like it. I suppose it makes sense, bard being one of the latter classes to show up in early access, with their ability to use instruments as their arcane focus for spellcasting plus their Bardic inspiration they probably want to give them their own casting animation and sound effects.
Similarly they probably want monks to have their own combat animations for unarmed martial arts.
Not sure why Paladin is one of the last though, i wouldn't have thought auras and smites were tricky... Maybe it's the channel Divinity that's giving them trouble? They haven't released most of the cleric subclasses either.

People are theorizing that Bards, Paladins and Monks are last because they have base class features that use reaction that do not work with the current reaction system Larian implemented. Larian wanted to rework reactions, so people think patch 8 will have that rework.
Also, Paladin have their oath tenets that might be giving Larian trouble. These aren't just dialogue based.

I really hate, that we get Minsc again as a companion (and yes, according to datamining he is confirmed). Astarion will get competition for most unlikeable character in my games. I didn't like Minsc in the original games and I doubt, I'll like him here. And as for Coran- I think it is always good to not trust him. If I remember correctly, He could betray you in the original game.
As for bards: yeah, they have to rework the reaction system for bard to work.

As someone who hasn't been playing the early access I found this review helpful
I played the early access, the last time I played the had just added the Druid. Anyway I played as a neutral evil Lloth based Drow Wizard, and had a lot of fun. I never made it too far because I did not want to spoil myself, but from what I saw it was done well.
