So, is that game made of unused assets for Odyssey or the devs just had way too many crazy ideas and they bundled that into another game?

The art style reminds me of the last Zelda too.

Gamespot preview/interview

Dev mention the game being influenced by Odyssey mechanically (with new/different abilities) and the journalist says it looks like Assassin's Creed mixed with Zelda Breath of the Wild.

This is going to be amazing!

I wonder how long we are going to have to wait for gameplay videos, game release in February but even at E3 they mostly showed screenshots and concept art (and a bit of Stadia gameplay).

edit: and I was right with my first comment in this thread. The Odyssey team wanted to make this game after doing research for Odyssey, lol.

“Regretfully, on Thursday morning, we mistakenly made an E3 2019 demo version of Gods & Monsters from Ubisoft available on the Stadia store that was not intended for the public to play,” a Google Stadia rep told Kotaku via email.

“Our vision for the game formerly known as Gods & Monsters has evolved in surprising ways, which is common when developing exciting new worlds,” Ubisoft Quebec executive producer Marc-Alexis Cote explained to Kotaku. “This footage is from our E3 2019 demo, which was shown to select press last June and is now over one year old. Much has changed since then in terms of features, tone, art and character design, and even the name of the game. We are hard at work and very excited to finally show players what we have created at the end of summer.”

- Interesting. So it seems a lot is going to change, including the name.

Yeah, though they said Orpheus isn't the new name either...

That is why its behind closed doors, its like that one closed door presentation that BioWare gave for Dragon Age: Inquisition because so much of the game can change and they are expecting to change they would want to be there to talk about what might change or how they plan on expanding what is there along with things that haven't been fully committed to being in the game.  If the public saw it and knowing the vocal public they would expect the game to be an exact presentation of what the final product would be and don't have any developers putting context behind it.  Its one of the reasons why I think BioWare themselves are so quiet now and don't show anything because the vocal public made a terrible noise when they didn't get what they allowed themselves to be hyped over leaked content and something that wasn't officially released to everyone just a select few in a specific circumstance.  Again its the "its why we cannot have nice things" fallout.

That could also be part of the prototype phase, when they aren't that concerned about the final product, but seeing how the product works.

New game title is Immortals: Fenyx Rising

People discovered it because it is being rated in Taiwan.

I'm not a fan either.

I think they wanted something more tied to the game story that they could turn more easily into a franchise.

So that's how we ended up with "Anthem" and possibly "Dragon Age 2" 😜

Isn't it possible for the name to be different in other parts of the world? I know they tend to rename movies in China for example - Solo being "Ranger Solo" or something.
