Crossbow Rogue no-pot-solo-PT (continuation)
The Deep Roads
The Anvil of the Void
First cave (where you always hear Branka who cannot shut up) - defensive mode worked great as enemies are simple - three serious enemies got their AoS - died once from the Crushing Prison which resisted the second time - only one cave with horde of simple enemies and Evasion makes such horde encounters very long with non-stop dodging animation Two rooms with Golems - had a chance to use Taited Blade + Aim Mode - used the first room standing behind "cover" to the left from the entrance (lured there Golems from the second room as well) - thick-skin golems got reduced damage: 34-45 - enemy presence slows down health regen thus had to switch TB from time to time getting damage 15-30+ - though AoS killed them right away: dmg 500-600
Apparatus - one attempt with close death (pushed the wrong button and switched to rapid shot instead of defensive) - with SnB spirits not a single resist to stun - each spirit was killed with AoS - lure enemies where apparatus will not heal them and lure one enemy at a time - exactly in this PT was useless with dps I have (one shot - they already have full health) - 2h spirits always use stun and are all Reavers using Ring of Pain which is bad - thus what did: AoS for one enemy - ran away a bit not to lure others and waiting for CD - repeat (worked out well anyway)
Branka - several attempts - managed to win this encounter thanks to "bombs + swift salve" running around from Branka and her golems (first tried without bombs/less bombs, but it resulted in golems slamming me to death) - got slams all the time (thus several attemps) - dirty fight for Branka who was not a problem unlike golems - first used AoS for hostile stronger golem (who died) - after did what have written above - 4 timed managed to use AoS for Branka: 26 max (24-25 the rest)
Returned to the Orzammar to finish business there. ----
Next part will start probably from Shale mission in Cadash Thaig.
And need more bombs obviously for certain story-connected encounters to finish this PT at all.
There are some other missions left to try again (e.g. "Mage's Treasure").

Crossbow Rogue no-pot-solo-PT (continuation)
Camp rearranged the bag and talked to some people there
Cadash Thaig
Could not finish thus left without Cadash Boots wanted to try: - in the beginning passed several encounters without difficulties - soon met Hurlock Omega with his darkspawn band - took me billion attempts to make conclusion I could do nothing against Omega (including passing by withing fighting at all) - he casts nasty spells: first buffs himself quickly, after right away Crushing prison, then life drain, and etc. - magic resist almost never worked - if magic resist worked, still health regen was not fast enough with incoming damage from everyone, including Omega's magic nature stick that never misses - AoS with aim mode gave 70-74 damage, only it was only about 1/10 of Omega health bar - left the Thaig before meeting Omega
In Orzammar bought a tome: + 1 cun
Camp Ambush - 2 attempts, first time the rest died, running in circles from two shrieks waiting for health regen did not help as well as defensive mode
Encounter with tainted bear and three wolves - lost. Reloaded in the camp. Met Tegrin and bought another tome: survival 4
Flemeth - always try to fight her to see how the build can work, after reload and just take the book to make Morrigan happy - this time tried as well, nothing new really: fire spit spam all the time and death as a result - tried several times repositining here and there near the Dragon: spit spam all the time - warmth balm was of no help even with more time for health regen if was lucky - information about the damage with aim mode: AoS 70 -74, usual damage ~ 25 - result: Flemeth the Dragon encounter could not win
Gave Morrigan the book listening how brave my GW was to slay her mother for Morrigan and becoming a friend/sister.
First went away to finish companion's quests (Oghren, Wynne).
While running around the map to finish Morrigan, Oghren and Wynne quests had four encounters: - rebel dwarves: easy, but not fast - three in a row Shades ambush encouter (Twisted Path): not a single chance as right there hex with zero resist, misses, knock backs, life drains etc. - next time Tegrin saved
Then could check unfinished sidequests already requiring fighting.
Went to the Dalish camp to visit the forest and undead.
Had to make a camp there.

Crossbow scaling (or rather lack of) is pretty brutal. 70 dmg is something like what average damage per regular auto attack for rogue with a bow might be at this point instead of from an AoS.
Dunno how I would approach encounters with high level mages late game crossbow. Rogue spell resist setups really want DW loaded with spell resist runes since there isn't really much from armor - Shielded Dwarven 4%...
