i think i say this a lot but picking up DA: Origins a handful of years ago made me fall in love with gaming as an adult. outside of FFTactics, i had never really been one for single-player RPGs, so when DAO came into my life, i was ripe for the picking. or the Tainting, i guess.

I had already spent hours and hours losing myself in DAO and DAII when I became active on Twitter during the DAI pre-release months. Suddenly I wasn't the "loner with an unhealthy obsession." I was part of a community, I belonged 💚

Mass Effect remains the series that impacted me the most on a personal level but Dragon Age and its community showed me my hobby isn't weird or unhealthy; it is full of people struggling as much, and often much more, than I do and we can use our love for it to lift each other up.

Oh same! It wasn't until AFTER I played DAI that I learned about all the amazing fan communities. I have been playing DA since 2011 and 2016 I ran across a random piece of fan art on Pinterest while sick in bed. I found myself falling in love with DA all over again with friends!

I had been stuck in an art block for 3 years, completely unable to draw anything. Dragon Age is what got me out of it. It inspired me back then and continues to do so today. It made me a better artist and a better person. 😊

Dragon age was my introduction into gaming. And though I have never felt about any other game than I do about dragon age and mass effect, the discovery that I'm into gaming has cost me lost of time and money xD
Also....i diffently know more Thedas history than real history

Got DAO as a bday gift when it first came out. Couldn't stop playing it. Played it through three times one after the other.
The only game/series that I've been adicted to, lost interest, then come back and been even more addicted then the first time.
Loving it all over again.

First started with DA2, friendly recommented by my dear friend @chrysonoe , and it blew up my mind. The lore, the deep charas everything helped me stay alive. More imortantly it got be back to drawing, inspired, after missed years, reached me lvl up my skill I always wanted. 💙🧡

I learned english bc of this series. When I was 16 I wanted to improve my english and needed incentive to do so and when I stumbled upon DA2 and fell in love with it I found it. I went down the rabbit hole with it and now I know a second language well enough to “write” fics in it

I bought my first console just to play DA. It gave me my life’s greatest passion and inspired me to be a video game designer, which I’m now going to college for. These games completely changed my life and I’ll be forever grateful for this series.
