Lololol... I was just in a fight in the uber-bullpen, when I made a leaping-attack which launched me across the entire world map until I desynced on the far side. LOL Umm what's the uber bullpen (FYI I know what a Bullpen is was always better as a starter myself ) ? It's a legendary animal pen in Suthsexe. I'm actually chasing an Opal quest there, and thought... what the hell.

I wonder if altering our Jomsviking, alters the version that as already been recruited. Post the updated version Hrungr, I'll be able to compare. I'm away from base atm, but I did change my Jomsviking about an hour ago to the Magister's black outfit with the face mask, and now she'll have a shield and spear. She's still using a sword and wearing the berserker armor for me.

She's still using a sword and wearing the berserker armor for me. So I guess it doesn't auto-update. I did put her back into the berserker gear (it's just better stated gear), but I gave her my upgraded spear. Strangely though, I can't put her into my (even better) Thor armor. It's just not an option for her.

So I just wanted to ID a Zealot in East-Anglia but she spotted me and we had to fight. Once off our horse I see she is a pikeman and I was thinking "Nooooo!"...but turns out she was pretty easy to dodge compared to the normal soldier version. Barely harder than a normal elite enemy. Also quite the ninja with that spear. I'm not even sure what power level she was, but she had the red lozenge so higher than me.

There's definitely a breakpoint (maybe in the low 100s) when you can start punching far above your weight class.

I smelled a rat and I wasn't wrong. The boy should have said something but he said nothing. All those long winded death dialogues in all the ACs and the kid said nothing. Really devs. I gave someone a reward he doesn't deserve, the crazy bloodlusting Viking. I'm going to keep on with the main story until the game forces a Asgard entry. I don't think I can skip Asgard but I want to avoid it as long as possible as it's not interesting.

Finding Asgard a bit of a chore ATM but have just been collecting Tears and doing a few other things. Really want to get back to the real game, upgraded the Chicken Roost this morning damn that was a lot of supplies. Still have the museum and the grain building and the fishers hut to do, more raiding to be done. Hey if you re raid Cathedrals do they give more supplies?

Redwalda found me while I was collecting loot from some random ruins. I managed to take off a good chunk of his health by escaping to the roof and using the ability to toss projectiles back at your enemies, plus using up all of my arrows. And do you know what the bastard did? He forgot I was up there, and his health bar filled back up all the way.

It really makes me resent not being able to assassinate zealots. If he's dumb enough to forget that I'm on the roof watching him, I should be able jump on top of him and kill him.

Does anyone have this on ps5/series x? How are the loading times? It feels kinda long on a ps4 pro, but it feels shorter then Odyssey was. Personally, I'm still impressed with the graphics even on a pro. Loads are a breeze on a Series X. EDIT: Let's quantify that. From pressing 'load' to having a movable on screen character: 13 seconds. Sounds great! I'll probably wait a year, and hope for more internal storage, before buying either new console. On PS4Pro, I'm getting those little loading pauses before some conversations, before merchants, etc... It's pretty tedious. I'll be happy when that's a thing of the past. The visuals I've seen for Series X have looked beautiful even via YouTube. This game doesn't look as polished as Origins or Odyssey on PS4Pro, in my opinion. That's not to say it's bad; it looks good. Having seen those load times and visuals on the new platforms, though, I look forward to the time I can load my save on the upgraded version.

No adrenaline left for Explosive arrow? Don't want to bother with the "bring an oil jar" puzzle? No problem, the developers got you covered! Kill a nearby soldier or use an already present body, put an explosive trap on it (tree skill), throw the body on the blocked entrance - profit! This is a Pro Tip. Great, creative thinking! I'm sure I'll use this at some point. I didn't get to play as much today. I pledged to Oxenefordscire, and made some headway. I'd looted about half the shire already while free roaming, but there's plenty left to do. I feel like the tone takes a turn here, and I've only had two conversations with the main NPC allies involved. (I know this is the spoiler thread, but I'm trying not to spoil too much.) I really wanted to keep playing tonight, but it was getting pretty late. I'm mostly just pledging to regions based upon recommended power level. I'm obscenely over-leveled for now, but that's okay. It will even out, or not. It's not affecting my enjoyment. I think I'm around 164 right now. I went Hunter/Wolf heavy in the early going, but I'm finally pretty deep into all trees now. I just got Heavy Dual Wielding, or whatever it's called. I suspect shit will get absurd from here. 😆 For now, nothing too crazy. I foresee a fire build in my future. At present, though, it's just more grounded ass-kicking. I'm using the full Carolingian Dynasty armor set, the matching shield, and my Scimitar. Sadly, the game crashed shortly after my first battle with this setup and I called it a night. It felt pretty glorious, though. I can't wait to try ridiculous gear combos now that the limiter has been removed. If anyone is curious, the Carolingian Dynasty set is really good looking and effective. It's a Bear/Warrior set, effective for most playstyles due to its two-headed set bonus. Lots of Health? Have perk A. Low on Health? Have B. The armor is really nice. You can clearly see the proper layers of armor (aketon, maille hauberk, scale cuirass, etc...). The appearance is pretty reasonable for a very wealthy or noble Carolingian. I'm impressed. I realize awesome armors lie ahead to be discovered, but this one is very nice. I could see using this one as a common default if we eventually get transmogrification. It's good enough to use on its own merits, transmog or not. The spear looks good. I can't recall the stats, since I'm still in love with the sword. I do recall thinking I'd probably use the crit-fishing spear I got from Eric, Drengir of Ragnar, back in Norway. Likewise the shield is good. It looks great and has an easily used perk. It probably won't remain my go to shield once I move toward crazy builds at higher levels, but its "Block=Damage Boost" is universally useful. The horse and ship cosmetics are really nice. It's my favorite ship decor in the game; though it does feel a bit weird to be sporting Carolingian colors on my sail. Oh, well. It's freaking beautiful and looks more impressive to me than anything I've yet found elsewhere. So, I definitely recommend nabbing it if you're okay linking your accounts and if it's available to you. The good news is that, when they did this with Twitch Prime for AC Origins, the gear was eventually offered via Ubi Club. So, if you gotta wait or prefer to do so, there's hope it will reappear. In the meantime, it's pretty nice to have full Legendary kit that will put me ahead of the curve in terms of saving upgrade materials in future playthroughs. dazk, I saw you mention that you'd finally gotten some much needed nickel. Yanli sells crafting materials in her shop. I bet most or all merchants do, and I've just not paid attention. I never get wealthy in this game. Freaking haircuts, hair dyes, horses, etc... keep Eivor living humbly. Add upgrade materials and he just can't get ahead. I hope he at least has a nice, heavy curtain to drop over the door when Petra stays for the night. Awkward.

So Asgard, yeah almost broke me with that stupid light puzzle after almost an hour gave in and followed a YT Video. Add to that the stone piling puzzle which the first two times I got it glitched and wouldn't validate it even though it was asking me to. Then it actually crashed my game to the desktop!!!!! Add to that all the hard to access chests and not having arrows when I needed them, needing an oil jar and they were all stuck on the ceiling instead of sitting on the floor........ sure you all get the point. I don't play RPG's to do puzzles. Anyway got nearly every mystery and Tear I could, just one tear to go and picking up by talking to lOki on the main quest in Asgard. I need a beer or several!!!!!!!

The price for the craft mats from vendors is expensive for my taste; I'm planning to go action fishing at suggested spots for quick money. I focused on upgrading the set on Eivor and left the rest of the stuff sitting in the inventory. Hunting down those gold dots yielded a lot of leather and ore so I've a couple of thousands of them. Presently, at over 190, the chests are yielding fabric so quiver and rations supplies are going up. The chests are also yielding more ore and leather.

The rock should be blown up by any means - jar or explosive arrow. It's not story gated, I looted it long before building the Seer hut.

So Asgard, yeah almost broke me with that stupid light puzzle after almost an hour gave in and followed a YT Video. The hardest part is noticing the light divider object that hangs above the entrance. After that the puzzle solves itself. Took me 10-15 minuets to figure it's impossible to solve without an extra light bounce and then checked where we can point the first light orb - voila, it was right there. Essex feels incomplete. The quest tasks were disjointed, the characters acted inconsistently and the "whoa" moments fell flat. Won't be surprised if it was rushed out since it's quality is subpar to everything else. Even the Mysteries didn't hold up, especially after the Cent ones.

dazk, I just grabbed your lady viking at the pier. She's in Cent, of all places. I was expecting friends' vikings to show up at settlement.

I did a lots of things in East Anglia last night. Did some raiding, recruited a Berserker, played hide-and-seek with kids... got one-shot by Cordelia in a few seconds...got a few nickel pieces too, which surprised me as it's a level 55 area. In fact, I found some enemies that the games marked at my level (i.e. white indicator) which makes me wonder if the area rating is actually a lie or if some of them have level scaling. I'm power level 126 now. I also stumbled on a escort group similar to what I had to kill for opals yesterday in the area. But I had already cleared all the contracts for the day/week. One of my nickel reward came from it. Chain assassination was great there, killed two of them right away, mopped the rest. My armor is almost all "fancy blue" now and I'm now going into wolf/bear skills because I got everything I wanted from raven. By the way, you can actually use missile reversal on the sword throwing skill of zealot. dazk , I just grabbed your lady viking at the pier. She's in Cent, of all places. I was expecting friends' vikings to show up at settlement. From my experience, there is a single "external" Jomsviking loaded each time you open the game. You'll find the same one at every recruiting spot.

All I get is someone else's and for some reason players have a thing for large bearded dudes. Yesterday I decide to keep reloading until I get a friend viking, but of course the game had an issue with connecting to the servers all evening, so no Viking or Opal shop at all.

I found out what was causing the max. # of rations to drop (for me anyways). It happened again last night, but I noticed it was right after switching back to Eivor after completing an Animus Anomoly. This time the max rations dropped right down to 1. Restarting fixed it, but it's something to keep an eye on if you're doing these. From my experience, there is a single "external" Jomsviking loaded each time you open the game. You'll find the same one at every recruiting spot. Good to know...!

This just happened to me, too, just before saving. I thought I was misreading the counter when I saw the "1". Hopefully its back to "4" when I reload.
