A thought came to me; it would be hilarious if the ship crew started looking for the fire when Eivor started shouting in the escort ship mission. Fire? Quick, get off the ship!! Everyone bail!!! But there's no fire??! If Eivor says there's one, there is one!! Anyway, killed the three witches and got the keys to unlock the statue blocking the pathway to the piece of gear at East Anglia. Turns out to be Thor's helmet. Things on sale at opal merchant; Hudulfolk chest piece (fully upgraded), Hudulfolk tattoo, Draugr runestone settlement decor, Draugr demon statue

I finished Vinland. It's a fairly small area and I ended up finding Gorm near the beginning of my time there just because of where I ended up going first. Eivor is a better person than Sigurd, I suppose, but I still wanted to know what lay beyond that door. Did my first rock stacking thing. I'm not sure how this is staying balanced, but whatever. When I got back, I decided to finally do a contract for the opal merchant (the one to free the prisoner), and ended up finding one of the Order there in the camp.

Every time I go back to Raven town, Randvi is at the conference table, she has notes on the settlement development and is clearly making sure everything is running. Sigurd just stomps up and down the longhouse and village. What does he do really? Maybe I shouldn't have rescued him so fast. I was expecting some progress on his mental state but Randvi hardly said anything. Her personal note is stagnant. Is it so hard to write in char development? It would have been interesting to read her thoughts on Sigurd, how he's doing daily, his behaviour. How did he treat her? How is their interaction / relationship? Further dialogue on her being cooped up would also do. I thought he would turn up at Snotinghamscire because of an important event but he never showed. There's no mention of him, not a single Snotinghamscire leader ever asked; how is Sigurd? Where is Sigurd? Eivor didn't have to make excuses for his absence. I was anticipating some conflict with Eivor's decision on Villi. Not a peep. AC writers still have a long long way to go. I doubt they'll get any better however. As it is, I'm still delaying Asgard, the second part where Harvi is going to Jotun region.

I really miss the ability to fall from great heights and not get hurt. I understand that there is a ability that minimizes it, but still... I don't, it was weird that Odyssey didn't include fall damage.
The coolest part of performing a leap of faith in the older games was that it was the only time you could fall from a great height without either being heavily injured or automatically desynchronised. The whole conceit of the leap of faith was that assassins were highly trained and knew how to fall properly into things without being injured.
I enjoyed Odyssey, but being able to jump off a cliff and survive was rather immersion breaking.

Sigurd just stomps up and down the longhouse and village. What does he do really? Drink ale/mead and speak big. His power reside entirely in Eivor being sworn to him and Randvi being competent at her jobs.

It saves time. Some viewpoints take 5-10 minutes to get down.

There are even multi-level leaves "leap of faith" chain at a few places to go from an high spot to the bottom of the "hill", sometimes mixed with rope glides. Especially around castle on top of hills. The only time going down takes me time, it's when I'm not taking the right way down.

However, I agree with you that the lack of comments and updates from anyone is disappointing. I don't think I'm as far along as you as far as collecting regions of England, so this tells me I'm going to have to wait a lot longer to learn anything I also would love an update on the dispute between the artist and the shipwright that Sigurd judged so harshly.

You will get to see it opened it is a main staging area in AC3 for the modern day Scooby team (Rebecca, Shaun, Desmond and Desmond's dad, Desmond being the precursor (see what I did there ) of Layla) and the scene of a major event in the modern day scenario.

So in the end, Vinland turns out to be a big waste of time and we have nothing to show for it.

Again Hrungr you exceed yourself. Thanks! As much as feel they've done a great job with the English landscape, I still miss the Mediterranean. The light there was... more ideal. Could be better, his Eivor is not on fire. That's how real Viking do it. I feel like I've reached my self-immolation quota several times over in this game... And another Zealot bites the dust... I think I've got just 3 left.
