Sounds like the patch isn't doing everything it was listed to do, lots of issues still being talked about over on the official forums. My wish for the draw distance being fixed sadly wasn't there either, poor Eivor and npc's changing their faces within 5 feet of each other lol
update: I think they broke faces actually, pan the camera around npcs or Eivors face and their nose and other features go all bendy lol uopdate 2: If you are on pc run a validation of files after the patch, mine is downloading a whole big chunk of stuff again, will update if this fixes anything else update 3: Ok validation seemed to have fixed the freaky bendy faces at least from a quick check.

Completed the Mythic arc yesterday, and gleaned a little more insight into how it ties into the larger game. Again, switched to male Eivor as it makes more sense here. Visually, the cutscenes and boss battles were very well done here, especially the last one. I'm was pretty OP for the region though, and with all the upgraded bear armor even the bosses could barely scratch me. Some nice vistas, though finding every shard here was a bit of slog. So - got sassed by a squirrel... Suttungr was suitably impressive. Looks like he could use a 50 gallon drum of moisturizer though. Wandering around Jotunheim... Then off to the Well to wrap up the Jotunheim arc. How many trips does Valka send you on, i have done all of the first one is ther one or two more?

So covered a lot of ground yesterday with my main focus being setting up synch points and clearing stuff. From East Anglia I traveled the coast to the top of the map and turned left and followed some rivers to Jorvik. Stopped along the coast 3 or 4 times to do minor raids or to run in land and open a Synch point. I am hopeless at remembering the map names etc but one of the last things I did was travel to pick up a Roman artifact and stumbled into a fight with the Gemad Wolf and wasn't that fun, almost broke my Space Bar dodging so many times. TBH was very proud of myself was going to run away at one point but stuck with it and with only half a health bar and no more health potions it was still alive but you couldn't see it's health bar. There were at least of it's wolf friends and I was terrified of it doing that grab and shake thing which probably would have killed me but managed to land the killer blow and then deal with thee other wolves. Man the adrenaline was pumping. Did one major raid I found and built the museum, wasn't that a let down but it was all I could afford to do with the Raw materials Ihad. Why the hell do the houses for Mady and Kari not sure if that's their actual names cost so much to build???? After dragontartare gave it so much of a good wrap will clear Jorvik since I am there anyway and then will push the story further in Lundun. Pic's The D read Wolf Hey what's the deal with this crack in the wall of it's lair, it was flickering like a Anomaly inside it? Much sailing (which I enjoy) and coastal views Oh forgot I also killed Black Shuck and this guy along the way

Just wondering if anyone is having a problem with the anomalies? I have done 3 and the last two when I have hit "E" at the end it has crashed the game, has this happened to anyone else?

omg, the Snotinghamscire animus anomaly is irritating. At one portion, a fall reset you back to a section of sequence. So you're doing A to D, then E, F, G, H, I. You fall at I but the game throws you back to E. Edit. this is FU. I'm of a mind not to do it. Edit 2. Now the stupid block refuses to move. I'll have to begin from A all over again. This is aggravating. I'll give it one more try and then ignore this.

After dragontartare gave it so much of a good wrap will clear Jorvik since I am there anyway and then will push the story further in Lundun. Hope it doesn't disappoint Just wondering if anyone is having a problem with the anomalies? I have done 3 and the last two when I have hit "E" at the end it has crashed the game, has this happened to anyone else? I haven't had that yet on the two anomalies I've done. I've had several crashes at other times. I did have issues with Layla refusing to jump up instead of down, though.

Got past the animus anomaly. Now I've only two regions left. Wincestre and Hamtunscire. There's one mission in Snotinghamscire that got on my nerves. It's an escort mission by ship and enemies will appear along the banks. It's all fine until Eivor started shouting; FIRE! to tell the crew to shoot arrows. She keeps doing this and I was going no. NO. It's not FIRE, whoever wrote this. It's SHOOT!!! Get the machine guns concept out of your butts! And for Pete's sake, can't she shout different lines instead of repeatedly yelling that? Something like; converge your arrows on * direction. Archers along the *** ridge. Port side crew, target ***, etc. sheesssh. Killed a few zealots too. No melee involved. I simply stick them with arrows.

I feel like I got little done for how much I played this evening. I completed Eurvicscire in it's entirety. That's a big area. The Animus Anomalies suck. They'd not be great even with Desmond. Having to be pulled out of the game to see Layla really sucks. This one was the first that wasn't quick and easy. I needed to pay attention, and my dog decided it was exactly the time to demand a potty break. Layla kept climbing down rather than up. It was really annoying. It was cool to see Hadrian's Wall. I wondered if it would make an appearance. My weird, OCD type habits meshed well with a sort of "unmarked event/quest", and I got a trophy out of it. Jorvik was fun. I could tell I'd like it at arrival. Sadly, ever Order member was obvious to me upon meeting them. It was still fun, but it would be cool to be surprised now and then. I beat some Zealot's ass on the eastern peninsula. I read his bio after our 20 second fight and he sounded like a real nutjob. A lot of these Zealots are very damaged people. I'm now off to Snotinghamscire. I saved on the dock north of the Jarl's cool cave home. I'd passed through before when exploring rivers, looking for monasteries to raid. I still have Jotunheim and Vinland to do. I'm glad Hrungr enjoyed it better than Asgard. That gives me hope. Asgard wasn't terrible, but it pulled me away from England at a time when I was enjoying it. It also fell back on a lot of old Ubisoft gameplay loops that Valhalla had largely abandoned. Collecting those tears/crystals sucked, for instance. I'm still enjoying the game, but I'm starting to feel the itch for a big story shift. I imagine new things will open up after Snotinghamscire. With Jotunheim and Vinland as well, things shouldn't get stale. I'm level 356, now. I'm feeling ready to acquire some legendary gear, but I am guessing that much of it is story-gated. I'm around 120 hours into this, so I'm ready for Excalibur, Gungnir and Mjolnir. Maybe I should go kill that final, crazy sister to complete Thor's outfit.

Whatever they did on PS4Pro, things look shitty, now. Textures often load very, very late. I'm right on top of things before the textures finally pop into effect. It could've just been the particular region in which I was playing. I'll find out tomorrow when I begin an entirely different area.

Eivor is exploring Vinland. She beat a legendary moose with a club (on baby difficulty mode ), snuck into one of Gorm's camps to steal their riches and assassinate some guys -- how convenient that she got to keep her hidden blade -- and found a dinosaur skeleton of some kind. I was a bit worried that they were going to have everyone you interact with magically speaking the same language like back in England, but no.

Think I might put the game on hold a bit for a few more patches, I thought this glitch went away after I did a verify files but NOPE its back in all it's glory!! Seems to happen at random times Also a heads up to keep an eye on your weapons. Nasty bug out there that is having them dissappear after throwing torches
