I'm taking a different approach this time around. Like you, I never thought I'd play it again. I haven't managed to finish a 2nd Odyssey run, and I loved that way more than Valhalla. But I was reading a 'retrospective' type review of Valhalla a little while back about 'the right way' to experience it. Normally I'd ignore that sort of thing, but they made an interesting point, which is if you're keen on 100%ing the game, to take care of each area (certain high level encounters aside) fully before actually engaging with the main story of the area. I thought that made a lot of sense, so I'm giving it a go. So far, so good - although I'm still right at the start, obviously.
I'm working on my 7th playthrough of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and my 3rd for Valhalla maybe one day I'll do a second playthrough for Origins.
I have just started my 6th PT of Odyssey, have only done one of Origins and Valhalla. No NG+ for Valhalla probably means no replay of it, Origins I just did not enjoy the combat and had LoS issues in the combat often. Some of the boss fights in the game were just boring, some were ridiculous (giant snake fight) and the teleport/disappearing dude was just incredibly frustrating. So not a never replay as it at least has NG+ but not high on my list to play either.

What do y'all think about this Nilfheim zone? I didn't care for either, they felt out of place to me and being "a hat on a hat" for you are in the Animus taking a potion and going to another set of memories. I would have probably liked the game without any of the Isu content.

What do y'all think about this Nilfheim zone? I’ve blocked all of Valka’s drug induced grinding from my memory. More seriously, I thought no better or worse than the rest of the ‘Asgard’ stuff.

I actually like it, there's a bit of strategy involved. It's way better than Assgard It's a new challenge and it's got me hooked. (Until I rage quit, obvs)

In the base game they feel off and probably would've been better if they've a big expansion pack (or two) like Legacy of the First Blade and Fate of Atlantis. Coming out with so many features that were parts of updates and patches and paid DLC wasn't the way to go IMHO also I think Wrath of the Druids was a fine, while The Siege of Paris wasn't all that interesting.

Agree I enjoyed Wrath of The Druids even though some of it made no sense but Siege of Paris was very underwhelming. It sort of seemed like they wanted experiment with game play things and forgot about the story.

Wrath of the Druids was fine. Absolutely hate everything about Siege of Paris. The moment Eivor just let the guy go into the church to massacre civilians they became one of my most hated protagonists in the franchise.

They aren't part of the Assassin's they are a Spartan Warrior and a Viking and both of them don't have the values or code that Assassin's do except it is forced upon them because its an Assassin's Creed game.

Well there are multiple Assassins who are similar. Remember Ezio sets the cave city on fire killing countless innocent people just to lure his target out in Revelations. And of course those like Jacob. The Eagle Bearer you at least could play as having the values, even going further since you can be almost a pacifist with all the nonlethal methods you get.

That is one of the Daughters of Lerion. There are two more - in East Anglia - and some lore to uncover with regards to them and their father. And you aren’t soft. Those bitches are scary as hell. Only slightly less scary than Germans, I guess.

I was just minding my own business in this totally not cursed looking swamp and luckily I never get distracted by random things I see on the way to the next objective and suddenly there was this angry lady in some not overly fashionable rags and accused me of things I've never done and there was just no reasoning with her.

Best thing about the Sisters of Lerion is there is one of their sights that constantly spawns coins when you go there and there is lots of bears to kill nearby.
Maybe the one near Grant has bread I need a toasted sandwich shire.

I just got to the gates of Lunden, go me! Yes, I'm slow and easily distracted. I think AC: Valhalla is a nice game to meander around in. The story isn't really grabbing me and I'm mostly killing those Order people because Hytham thinks it's a good idea. The fact that so much of the game's economy is based on raiding - i.e. taking what someone else worked for - is something I don't like and it made me detach myself from the story, making it more a game I' playing and less of a story I'm experiencing. But I do enjoy trying out different weapons and see how they work for me. I lost count of often Gunnar upgraded and downgraded my stuff because I felt like trying something else and I'm not even that far in the game. Combat seems a bit of a mixed bag. I don't like how the power difference is factored into damage received and damage dealt (as opposed to simply being the difference of actual health and skills). It made the fights at against the witches a bit of an embuggerance, with almost every mistake resulting in near instant death. WTF was that 350 something lady doing in East Anglia? Like I'd remember coming back for her later, thank you. Also at least part of the combat mechanics must have been designed by pike salesmen. Pikes hit you even when you should be too close to be stabbed, can be swung like axes and warhammers and have an integrated force field for parrying two handed axes and the like. Not sure what they were thinking here. On the other hand, once you've killed the first pike guy you can enter a chain of Throw weapon -> Stomp -> Throw weapon until there's peace and quiet again. Now I'm sitting pretty at power level ~200 and I don't really know what to spend my skill points on anymore. But as long as there's fun stuff to find and try out I will go and enjoy that just fine.
