You can. There’s apparently even a quest you do that in where Eivor is playing hide and seek with some kids. That is good news for me. I didn't mind Odyssey as much as some people, but the things like social stealth, being able to sit on a bench and assassinate a target and switch places, or hiding in piles of hay were things that I missed and looked forward to doing in Assassin's Creed games for that was something unique in them. I didn’t miss the social stealth because I always thought it was stupid. *Assassin covered in blood and armed to the teeth walking in a group of 5* Guard two feet behind them: Nothing unusual here.

In regards to that spoiler about Rebecca returning, if Layla kills her I will riot!
Do NOT read that if you don't want spoilers Layla does have a pattern of getting her female partners killed. First Deanna, then Victoria. I’m still surprised/disappointed that she still seems to be working with the Assassins as an ally instead of being punished in any way. You're 100% right.
Maybe Rebecca is back to assassinate Layla? mwahahaha

Not any different then random civilians attacking a person that just took out the elite guard which happens to me all the time in Odyssey. You would think after 24,000 kills and hundreds of mercenary kills people would just go indoors when Kassandra came around.

But no, I imagine either things will be wrapped up between games and we start Valhalla with everybody hunky dory towards Layla. I didn’t miss the social stealth because I always thought it was stupid. *Assassin covered in blood and armed to the teeth walking in a group of 5* Guard two feet behind them: Nothing unusual here. Not any different then random civilians attacking a person that just took out the elite guard which happens to me all the time in Odyssey. You would think after 24,000 kills and hundreds of mercenary kills people would just go indoors when Kassandra came around. That makes more sense than social stealth. Plus communication wasn’t as advanced in those days so most people wouldn’t know what the EB has done.

I don’t know, in the Ezio trilogy, social stealth did make sense I thought as Ezio didn’t wear too many weapons visibly (and he had that half cape to conceal them even more. And I believe people of some standing did usually wear a sword or rapier or something back then (and I never liked heavy weapons anyway). Same for Connor, his visible arsenal seemed not too far out for a man of the frontier. Later on though, yea, it got a bit much. Might work in Valhalla though. I mean, it‘s not like you would pretend not to be a warrior. Just not that warrior.
I also thought, random civilians attacking my armed and armored demigod of Greece was stupid, especially if I just one-hit slaughtered two dozen of them and a couple of armed guards in front of their eyes. What are you doing? Run away dammit!
As for Layla and the present day story, very unfortunately I have very little hope for that one. Her story never really worked well for me, the disjointed break between Origins and Odyssey was awful and she became even weirder and even less relatable with FoA. I doubt they’ll rescue that wreck of a story now to be honest. At best, it won’t annoy me too much and I can just enjoy the Viking story. That’s really sad because I used to love The present day stories when Desmond was around. But well, it’s not like we didn’t get used to it at this point.

Pretty decent video. But then he killed a seal. Thumbs down!
The comments you'd think these people had never seen a WiP game from Ubisoft or anyone else before.

Hanako Ikezawa you're probably right re the spoiler, unfortunately. That makes me sad I liked social stealth okay. Since many people are probably wearing cloaks that would hide a lot of their arsenal and for this time period probably isn't too out of place to have some weapons, I think it'll work. I 100% hated being attacked by citizens. SO annoying.

Since many people are probably wearing cloaks that would hide a lot of their arsenal and for this time period probably isn't too out of place to have some weapons, I think it'll work. I 100% hated being attacked by citizens. SO annoying. Yeah. I'm also afraid they'll do something outside the games that wraps that up. For example that boardgame coming out the same time Valhalla is which has a MD expansion that comes with it which apparently is canon. So if you don't play that, I fear it'll go from "Layla murdered her best friend and a crucial asset to the Assassins(even having a note that says "If you kill her, you're unemployed")" to "Everything's patched up." My one hope is the description of Layla seemingly looking tired, so maybe at least she's going through some development for the consequences of her actions. As for the social stealth and many Assassins blending in, I disagree. Altair: The Templars know what the Assassins look like, and he doesn't blend in well with monks since he has a dozen knives and two swords on his person outside his robes. Ezio: Again, wears his weapons outside his robes and let's be honest his outfit is the opposite of subtle. Maybe his Revelations outfit works. Connor: Him I'll actually accept, since he doesn't have many weapons and the American Brotherhood's roes match stylistically with the uniforms of the times. Edward: His outfit might, if it wasn't for some of his weapons like the four pistols including two on his chest. Arno: His actually work, at least the default ones. Jacob and Evie: Likewise, their outfits work plus they have very subtle weapons. The other protagonists don't count since for one reason or another they aren't part of the Brotherhood (or in Aya and Bayek's case it's before they really developed uniforms).

The comments you'd think these people had never seen a WiP game from Ubisoft or anyone else before. I think that's the result of game marketing being different then it was a few years ago. We didn't use to see so much WiP gameplay before release, it was always very carefully chosen stuff that was near finished. That means a lots of people takes everything shared by marketing as a "finished" product still, instead of WiP. Some people really seems to have eyesight issues too. For example, Cyberpunk 2077 had someone make a thread on the official forum saying the katana combat looked much better in a video compared to another one. The catch, there is a single katana combat video for the game. He was comparing the same video and didn't even realize it.

Damn seals, I was doing a tour of a seal colony and they stink and I have no love for them anymore as one of the bastards sneezed on me. Even with a Gortex jacket on it was extremely unpleasant. So watch out seals I am coming for you!!!!! If there is a god of animals in the digital world and it ever manifests in the real world, well us AC Players and our resource gathering are going to be in for a reckoning I think!!!!!! The worst was killing the poor Beavers in AC3, they were so cute and that noise they made when they died was so sad.

Yeah I keep expecting a knock on the door from PETA for digital animal cruelty!!!! At least in AC3 it wasn't so real and in your face but yeah with Black Flag it wasn't surprising there was a lot of initial uproar about the hunting.

Didn't they get implicated in something recently that made them look like hypocrites? I think they were rescuing animals or something but to do it they were locking the animals in the boots of cars or something like that. A few years ago in my area people from PETA were adopting animals from no-kill shelters and then euthanizing them because having animals as pets is a form of cruelty according to the doctrine they were following. So most of the shelters in my area now have part of the contract that you or people in your household to the best of your knowledge aren't part of PETA to prevent that from happening again.

I'm the opposite. I like when they join in. They're protecting their goods, family members, friends, home and soldiers who protect them from everyday dangers, whatever they might be. But the best part is it keeps Kassandra on her toes. It improves her dodge skill. At times when the civilian misses, they hit the ones that are after you. The sad part is they at times get caught in the crossfire.
I will admit it's ridiculous when a chicken attacks.

The beavers were one thing in AC3 but the worst part was when I killed a bear, took the pelt and was about to go. Then I heard a noise, checked nearby and found a pair of bear cubs. Apparently I had just killed their mother and now they were abandoned. THAT was sad.

I have taken to Spartan Kiciking the civilians as it usually just knocks them out and it's funny when you end up in the same place later (even a day later) and they are still lying there. Shame the other citizens don't help out like they help the guards out!!!!! I actually got attacked by chickens the other day, they do an insane amount of damage, must remember to try and Spartan kick a Rooster/Chicken today!!!!!
