So quick post, did heaps today especially lots of raiding which allowed me to upgrade lots of the Settlement including a brewery and bakery and had my first feast which was fun. Point of the post is all you people I am friends with on Uplay, if you are on consoles can I still recruit you Viking creation to go on raids and is ther a way to look for friends creations to recruit. I have 4 people I don't know and would rather be giving friends on Uplay the silver than people I don't know. Also how can i tell who used my Viking to generate Silver? Apparently the appearing of Jomsvikings is random and atm you can't choose a friend's one unless you get lucky to meet somewhere on the map. Will probably get patched, because it was a bit of a selling point to use the creations of your friends. I am checking every viking I see, but so far haven't met a friend's one. I don't know how you can tell who used your viking. With millions of players, the list might get long, especially if it's a giant badass woman, named Brunhilda the Milk Drinker. I am so pissed I rotated to the next one and didn't pick her. I thought we can go back, but alas.

It's 4 chapters, which doesn't take as long as you might think. Have you already dealt with the wolf? I wandered around a bit trying to level up more because all the next sections of England's map were showing up red for Eivor when I left. Gathered lots of rocks. Found some more enemies guarding some ruins in the snow. Still prefer the real world section of the story. I just dealt with the wolf and Havi's response is confusing at best. What's wrong with Loki having a son? Is the implication his partner wasn't human which is why Havi was furious? Fenrir is the son of Loki and a Jotunn. Havi is mad because he has an oath not to harm Loki and his blood, which includes Fenrir in this case. And there is the prophecy of the wolf and Havi. Havi just knows Loki plots this whole mess, but doesn't want to break the oath.

So I want to upgrade my gear from the red colour to the blue. The only thing I lack is an icon I can't recognise it looks like a small disc but from previous comments I think it's cloth. Where do I get it?

Where do I get it? From bronze to silver, you need nickel ingot. If you're referring to the two round like rings. Bronze - carbon ingots Upgrading bronze armor and weapons stats - leather and iron Silver - nickel ingots Upgrading silver armor and weapons stats - I haven't been paying attention but I think it's titanium and leather Gold - tungsten ingots No idea on the mats for stats but it could be titanium and fabric

When you talk to the viking, the window tells you the owner. Now, I don't know if it tells you the owner is a friend of yours since I haven't found such viking yet.

Stupid aim assist that makes aiming harder.

I forgot to mention last night, but I fought another Zealot in Lecedsomethingshire named Cola. He was quite easy (no big shield, easy to aim weak points, not BS abilities). I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be your first Zealot, because the other power level 90 ones are much harder to deal with mechanically. I do find only learning about Zealots after you finished that region storyline to be a bit weird considering I had killed 5 by the time I learned about them.

Using a hunting bow I was in 3pp but I found a recurve bow that forces me into 1pp and to that I say heck no and I changed bows. I don't want that forced on me and I'll just end up using a weaker hunting bow as long as it's in 3pp. This happens because the three bow types all serve different purposes. The Predator Bow, which zooms into FP, is supposed to be a long-range sniping weapon. It certainly can be used up close. I did so all the time in Origins. Eventually, you gain the ability to guide the arrow in flight. That's the reason for the FPP. The Hunter Bow is the all-rounder. I didn't particularly like it in Origins; but it was the only bow in Odyssey and I learned to love it. There's also the Light Bow type. It's like a submachine gun, more or less. It was inspired by actual ancient archers holding a spread of arrows in their hand to fire rapidly. I suspect our heroes manage to fire a bit faster. 😆 Cool idea, though, and effective. I'm glad we get a separate arrow allotment for each bow. Against certain bosses, I might deplete on type and switch to another. I agree about the soundtrack. In general, it's beautiful. I am really enjoying it. There was on region where I kept getting an early 20C jazz feeling, and that was incongruous. Otherwise, it's been great. So yesterday I disabled aim assist and my bow movement issues appears to be gone. Stupid aim assist that makes aiming harder. This is the first thing I do when starting any new game: I turn off aim assist. I play on PS4Pro. I know it is supposed to aid us console users with our little joysticks 😒, but I don't need it. The "assistance" might help the bow snap on target, but it actively hinders weak-point targeting. One thing I will say about Valhalla is that it gives a broad range of assistance. If I recall correctly, it ranges from "slight" to "handholding". I think there are four degrees of assistance. (I might've made up the last name for whatever the strongest Aim Assistance is called.)

When and how does that happen? Me wants a fox friend!!!! It's from a Mystery, but can't recall where. I think maybe Sciropescire or Oxeneforscire (I don't know if that's the spelling!). I also have a ship cat (kinda early zone Mystery) and a white wolf (settlement quest) named Chewbacca - Chewie for short 😜 The fox hangs mostly around the longhouse or at least that's where Eivor greets it from time to time. I used Chewie to get Redwalda on the ground. Stupid, giant shield. :grumbles: My first fight with Redwalda, I was winning convincingly. I was just in the zone, I guess. Then my dog walked up to me and stared at me right in the eye. 🤣 The second and a half I lost turned the fight. I never regained the advantage and eventually lost. I thought, "Well, I'll kick that ass this time." Wrong. The second time I got killed and couldn't figure out why. I didn't notice that those projectiles were mines. Who knew there were tossable mines in 9C England? 🤨 Third time, I used Chewie and my crew to add some friendly interference. Redwalda is still the toughest boss I've yet fought, though I'm sure much tougher await.

Redwalda is still the toughest boss I've yet fought, though I'm sure much tougher await. You didn't notice the mines? Outch. Redwalda was the second easiest and the first Zealot I killed... I still need to deal with the one that heals (often in the middle of her poison cloud). The healing animation can only be broken with a melee heavy...and I try to avoid the poison clouds. Now that I have poisoned attacks abilities, she might be easier (you have to kill zealots/Order of the Ancient to get those, it's a reward for turning in medallions). I'm now over 100 power level so she should be much easier in general. A tip to stagger the zealot with tower shield and force them to drop their defences: arrow at the top of the helm. Don't be too far, because they don't stagger for that long. I'll have to try Rush&Bash on one too. Or use the harpoon. I actually doesn't use my actives that much really. I also want to try Missile Reversal on one, but not those with only ranged rune attacks (as MR replace block/parry of missiles and use the same key). I killed a "Standard Bearer" with his own javelin last night with it. The most hilarious with that ability is the slingers, you catch the rock and throw it right back into their stomach and they go down holding it. As a bonus, Eivor looks awesome "reversing" the missiles.

Cleared all the side-stuff (including the Grendel & Berserker mini-DLC) in East Anglia yesterday. Just a few random thoughts... Yeah, Missile Reversal is great and seems to work on everything thrown your way - arrows, rocks, grenades, spears, etc... I feel I might have been a little harsh on the snakes earlier. I just had a Zealot drop proximity mines. The giant poisonous snakes feel... somewhat less egregious now. I'd noticed the occasional deer trying to skewer me before, but they really have it in for me now. More new enemy strategies - three tried to surround me and attack simultaneously. But a quick shield-block sent them all to the ground, then stomp-stomp-stomp. Also did my first 3 "Opal" Missions for Reyda. Two were ambushes on the road - no problem. One was a rescue mission in the swamp. Oddly enough, that took the longest but had the lowest reward.

Hopefully it won't be too long before they add previews & stats for purchases. This wasn't quite what I imagined "exotic" hair would be when I bought it.

They really need previews, also for gear you can buy. Right now, I just buy random stuff until I run out of money. It's a bit frivolous.

Can Evior shut up about being in a ice bath? I get it.

Can Evior shut up about being in a ice bath? I get it. Imagine if Eivor had SAM from MEA.

Can Evior shut up about being in a ice bath? I get it. You gotta get out of Norway.
But yea, Eivor's constant comments annoy me a little as well, especially when you switch to Synin. "Show me what lies ahead". Yea, we get it man.

Can Evior shut up about being in a ice bath? I get it. Imagine if Eivor had SAM from MEA. I still prefer Eivor's comment. "that's new leather!" I think there is a setting to reduce the frequency of them.
