Despite not being particularly excited by the title itself (except insofar as I'm curious about why Dreadwolf is all one word) I am thrilled that we finally HAVE ONE. Feels like another concrete step towards having an actual game to play!

Joke aside, they are probably happy that it is now official, it's like a bit milestone in a project live that means " this is real and it's going to be released".

Since its a bit hard for me to play the first two games again I found someone on Youtube doing a blind LP of Origins. I hope he follows through with 2 and Inquisition and well based on when I think DA:D will come out I might need to start playing the games now anyways.  So yeah. Good refresher, always nice to see how *new* people react to these games.

You should get started right now. Depending on how much free time you have, each game takes between two and three months to finish, so we're talking about half an year at least. You should get started right now. Depending on how much free time you have, each game takes between two and three months to finish, so we're talking about half an year at least. And DA:D is likely coming out in 2023. I'm aware of how long they take to play as i played them to death and back ,unfortunately all the old previous saves are on a old computer tower and replaying them will take a few months if that, plus i have over 122 hours of paid off time still to take this year that runs out in April, so i'm still good.

Many stories in Tevinter Nights, which lead up to the next game, revolve around heist plans and assassination. And let's not forget that
DA: Absolution had a rogue as a protagonist.
Lastly... it seems like there will be a great deal of effort into keeping a low profile to avoid information leaks. The whole thing is made for a knifey-stealthy hero.

The whole thing is made for a knifey-stealthy hero. yeah real original for me since my last two canon characters have been rogues but I'm going to at least start off with a rogue again. Another primary bow rogue to Still with what you said to one big curiousity I have for the game is if We're right and the heavy implications of Secret Squirel shit Thedas Edition comes true it's going to be interesting how they balance out the other classes for that kind of gameplay. And hopefully there will be negative consequences for 'going loud' too much. Though Absolution did provide a few hints. |

I'm waiting for more details on game play/classes/specialisms before making a decision about class. I usually play either a mage or a rogue first run but I ended up switching from my normal dual wielding dagger rogue to an archer in DAI because of the way they changed the mechanics. However, there isn't quite the necessity to play a rogue now considering unlocking items is not such a big deal and we no longer have to detect traps. Sneaking is not likely to be so useful if it turns out we can't control our companions and stop them alerting the enemy to our presence by dashing past our hero. If they bring back Spirit Warrior as a specialism, I might well be tempted to go with a warrior first run for a change. Then again, since we are in Tevinter, may be they will have some new and interesting mage specialism on offer. Mind you, I'd be happy just playing a Knight Enchanter, or similar spec, again as I had a blast with it last time round. Considering how they mention the hero won't be anybody special, no prophecies, no powers, nothing...... That was also true of the Warden and Hawke when they started out. They had to earn their titles of Hero and Champion. what are the odds we end up playing as the butler? What I am waiting to see is if they finally make a human PC that is not from a noble background. Based off previous games we are more likely to be an Altus, with or without magic, than a Butler. |
