"The show will run for about 20 minutes, featuring over 14 minutes of Hogwarts Legacy gameplay captured on PS5, and concluding with some insight from a few members of the team at Avalanche Software who are bringing the Wizarding World to life."
Wow, 14 minutes of gameplay! So nice to finally be getting something new after all this time. Imagine we'll get a release date as well (guessing this fall).

Possibly it's going to be a busy fall for me wit hForspoken and Gotham Knights dropping then as well. I just hope that Hogwarts and Forspoken don't trip each other up given they'er both going t obe similar styles of games.

Though I've done a bit of thinking, and I have the slightest of suspicions that I might in fact be a hatstall. I've done some pretty crazy Gryffindor stuff in the past. Probably still a Ravenclaw.
After time adrift among open stars, past tides of light, and through shoals of dust, I will return to where I began.
As for HL it's interesting that Sony has the marketing, though I'll still be planning to enjoy it on Xbox.

PC for me. Never had another platform, and I don't plan on changing it. Especially not since Halo is on PC now, and Sony is releasing their own exclusives as well!

I think I tend to get Gryfindor or Ravenclaw with quizzes? I think?
Anyways I am finally happy to see a deep dive on this game. Curious we are getting a major reveal on it before GoW Ragnarok so we will just have to see how the stars continue to allign for my game buying throughout the years.

I want to be Hufflepuff or Slytherin so I don't take quizzes, I'd just reject them if they don't have the answer I'm looking for xD

I only took one as I don' tknow much about Harry Potter except the name really I've tried playing one o r2 of the games ove rthe years and trie dwatching the films but could never really get into it. In case of the film I found it boring and I think at the time I was finding the games a little too difficult gameplay wise. I've always thought it would be something I can get into as I do like magical stories and always have. Many of my favourite stories growing up had magic in them like a lot of the Enid Blyton books. The Wishing Chair the Farawa yTrere book slik ethat. But they were books handed down to me by mum as they were books she read when she was growing up. I'll probabl ypla ycharacters in al the houses eventuall yto see if there are an ydifferences and perhaps unique quests as quiet often in these sorts of games you d oget unique quests based on wha tpaths you take like in DAO in tha teach origin has thei rown uniqu eopening quest. I don't know if they' ddo that but it's possible. Based on wha t we've seen I think I'll enjoy this game though hopefully we get a more firm release date along with that gameplay footage. Especially as we now have dates for Forspoken and Gotham Knights. Going to be a busy end to the year.

I'm torn. Mostly because I don't know how they're going about the timing of the protagonist. On one hand, I don't want to play as some idiot 11-12 year old. But on the other hand, I recognize the importance the 1st year at Hogwarts is, and it's also when you're sorted into your house. So, I don't want it skipped either. While it ideally makes sense to start us as 6th or 7th years with more spells, access to more regions and dangers, and more mature characters; it would be super jarring and I'd feel very detached from my character since I didn't "grow up" with him during his tenure at Hogwarts. I'd feel jipped of the Hogwarts legacy. Buuuuut, can we really expect a game that gives us 7 years at Hogwarts?
I guess if we're playing 12 year olds, I'd be curious to see if their writing makes them more mature than MEA's Ryder and co.

I've always felt tha tHarry Potte rwas a kids story first and formost so it's unlikely we'll see any Varric like Well Shit moments so I'd imagine it'll be based off that. All w edo know is that it takes place in a time before Harry Potter in th e1800's or something. If you'er unsuer I think it'll be bestt ouse th eexisting media (games books and films) as a guide whether you'll like it. I expect it to be a relativel yclean and relatively innocent story that's good for the whole family to enjoy. If you're looking for something a bit more mature that is a bit darker like say Dragon Age or the Horizon games then you'll be better off looking maybe at Forspoken really a sI think that definitely is going for a darker theme given I noticed in the trailers the protag in that launches the occasional F bomb in that while using her magic. I still think it'll be a fun game I thin kbut any violence will be done in a very cartoony type way like in a super hero comic type way. You won' t see anything like a blood magic moment that you'd get in the DA games I don't think.

"Starting late"? Why. It's a convenient excuse to get us to choose our house and not be an 11 year old, but beyond that... perhaps they will tell.
I think I may be getting old... Why do they feel the need to tell you EVERYTHING with the first look? Why don't they want you to explore the world and... marvel, with surprise at what you see, instead of telling you EVERYTHING right off the bat.
I'm surprised they seem to be allowing truly "evil" playthroughs according to the implications. Perhaps it's just a marketing thing, and the story will end up being a case of "Agent Hitler, FBI."
It does look promising overall... I guess we'll see come Christmas. Probably know what my Christmas present is this year already, and we're in mid March...

Very impressive world they created. So impressive that I question if everything will be satifying to play.
I'm more curious how is the classes and the year progression. Is it part of the main quest? Will be there small time skips? I want to feel being part of the world, and eventually go back home when the year ends.

Overall the world looks very impressive and immersive! Definitely excited to wander Hogwarts, attend classes, and experience all the magic. They didn't really show any dialogue interactions so I'm interested to see how that will work. Seems like you can sometimes take a companion with you but not sure how often or how many (I think I only ever saw one at a time).

Yeah, I was surprised about that as well. I wonder if it'll have impact on the plot or barely aknowledged (I instantly thought about Blood Mage Hawke).
