I like how you start it off with the most important meal of the day...dessert

I like my own cooking.
I haven't cooked for decades, but now that I'm my own employer I can do whatever whenever, so I've started again.
(Also, both women in my household kinda sucks at cooking . My sister is pretty good, but she lives hundreds of miles away.)
(Actually, I may have been a bit harsh. My mother could cook half decently when I was a kid. Now, she's so indifferent she just simplifies and wings everything to the point where she's just ruining ingredients. 'F' is sort of... "competent". But prefers me doing it.)
I don't do much roasts or steaks. I prefer lots of vegetables and spices, pasta, stews and casseroles. I do some fish stew without chili, and mushroom pasta without tomato and chili. But that's all. Chili, garlic, tomatoes in everything else.

I like cabbage and cauliflower and I'm happy to eat them raw too. I like broccoli and brussel sprouts. - Take that, all of you!

I like licorice candy. I eat it rather seldom and very sparingly though. Because after binge eating it in my past, I convinced myself it makes me not feel so good.

I like pie.
I make a great apple pie. The way I do it, I have sugar and almond oil in the dough. I use as aromatic apples as possible, not sour baking apples. And lots of apple. The trick is I cut the apples in small slices, and add the juice from a whole lemon, to add acid. Then sugar and cinnamon. Serve with custard.

I make a unique banana pie. I think I've described the complicated process here sometime? Anyway, the bananas need to be perfect and ripe, and they are not in the baking for more than a very short time at the end. The sliced filling is also soaked in lemon jelly. Served cold (chilled) with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.

I like blueberry pie. Nothing special. Just lots of blueberries and some sugar. And a few small pieces of marzipan. And a drop of almond oil in the dough again.
I like raspberry pie. Same process as blueberry pie. Straightforward, standard.

Ice cream: I like vanilla ice cream.
I like licorice ice cream (of course).
I like pistachio ice cream.
I like something that I call Boscombe Down Special. (Some of you maybe can guess why it's called that.) It's premium vanilla ice cream with sloshes of premium raspberry and blueberry jams. If the jams are good, the taste is heavenly.
I like pecan and caramel ice cream.

I don't like chocolate ice cream and I hate cookie dough in ice cream.

Fruit: I like oranges, pears, pineapple and peaches.

Nuts: I basically only like almonds.

Apparently there is a trick to getting good fried rice - use day old steamed rice or spread out on a tray and shove it in the refrigerator (uncovered) for as long as possible. The point is to try and dry the moisture out of it.

I've never done any of these things because I either forget, or fried rice is requested unexpectedly.

Food I enjoy hmm 🤔

Well I can say pumpkin pie is my favorite pie (I noticed someone else said they like pumpkin pie as well^_^)

I'm big into tacos, chili, pizza, beef stew, chicken and noodles/beef and noodles, sub sandwiches (love me some BLT subs or roast beef with a ton of extra cheddar cheese) oh and I'm a big cheese person, mainly cheddar but I will eat all kinds of cheese, it's like my guilty pleasure 😈.

Tbh I could go on and on about foods I enjoy but what I listed is about what I eat majority of the time. I'm really not into sweets so I don't get into ice cream or cakes much, pumpkin pie is about it butonce in a blue moon I'll get Reece's candy or a Butterfinger. Just depends if I get a killer sweet tooth craving sugar.

I will say I'm big into making my food spicy as well so jalopeno is something very common for me be it on my tacos, sandwiches/subs or chili

A fav. I'll usually splash tabasco sauce. However, I'm keeping away from such food (pasta, rice, bread) and only indulge once in a blue moon or very sparingly.

I also tried some of that vegan meat but nope never again ... gross.

From then on nothing other then something like this



a juicy steak ... so yummy.

I consider myself to be an omnivore, not just in the "Homo sapiens have these biological needs" sense but in that I love vegetables.
Broccoli and lettuce for DAYS.

My favorite food is sandwiches.
I'm actually descended from the guy who INVENTED the sandwich, known as the Earl of Sandwich, hence the name.
The way the story goes (as far as I was told) is that he was playing cards with his subjects and wanted a way to eat his meal and still hold his cards, thus he decided to use two pieces of bread to hold the steak... and TA-DA!

So in that context I feel like it just makes sense why I love sandwiches like I do.

BLT is top notch. The best part (aside from the obvious) is that it is infinitely layer-able. You can just go two strips of bacon and a single slice each of lettuce and tomato, or you can double or triple it.

Cheese. I love cheese. Any kind. Give me all the cheese

Bulgogi, which is part of Korean BBQ and can come in the form of beef, pork or chicken. It's utterly sublime.

The filet mignon of sushi, eel.
