I'm stupidly excited for a trilogy of games I've already played like a dozen times. Kinda weird, kinda good.

Yet it's the same game. Everything you expect is there with very little tinkering. But the gameplay improvements are huge. Pulling a sniper rifle with any class, for example.

This is my biggest curiosity. ME 1 was a great game with a lot to recommend it in terms of story and setting and even some of the character stuff...very cinematic...but the gameplay and RP elements didn't really do it any favors. Ergo if they do actually improve ME 1s GP and make its loop more...enjoyable, if it won't shuffle my list of my favorite ME games. I am also quite nervous about some of the combat sections like the bazillions of drones on Luna I always had mega trouble with.

You mean to tell me that I can use an assault rifle with my Shepard if I made her a Vanguard?? Were you able to aim? I'm running a Sentinel, and can pull, aim and comfortably fire an Assault Rifle and a nicely scoped Sniper Rifle, all without the 'untrained' nonsense and no sway. So I'd say yes.

Now I just need a confirmation that the "use any armor" cheat still works in this version. That's if you know about it. If not, you can look it up.

Looked it up. Could not get that to work (tried several times). Maybe just me. Could be that with so much work done, the glitch is history. Wouldn't use it personally.

I kind of wanted my Shepard to wear heavy armor, if I made her a Vanguard, in order to sync more with the opening attack in ME2. It's like an OCD thing. Because with only medium armor, it wouldn't be consistent.

I think I'll simply go for Soldier in ME, as I prefer the look of heavy armours in that game, compared to medium and light, and change class to Sentinel or Vanguard in ME2.

But, in terms of continuity, that wouldn't make sense, right? Your Shepard didn't have biotics in ME1, then she/he somehow has them in ME2. In a story telling perspective, that is a big plot hole. As you can see, whenever I play Mass Effect, I'm very particular with how things need to work from point a to point b, at least for me.

They were, but they didn’t. Now you're just making up a head canon... No, I'm referring to canon. First and foremost, a whole ton of cybernetics. The thing about Shepard they wanted unchanged was their essence, what made Shepard Shepard, hence why body enhancing cybernetics were fine but a control chip was not.
