Not yet. I'm waiting to see what it entails. If its just a texture mod, no. If they fix bugs, make actual changes to ME1s game play yes.
Same here. I need to see gameplay before I'll decide whether I'm interested. It would also be neat if players that already own everything (all games and all DLC) could get the remaster with a discount, wouldn't it? Especially if they've already bought it all more than once (PS3 and PC here). Native controller support on PC would be a plus (though the mods work fine), as would characters that import looking the same from game to game. There are other mods and custom tweaks I like to use. That it's on UE3 might make it more likely that existing mods can be adapted to work with LE fairly readily. Anyhoo, it'll be interesting to learn more about whatever changes they might make.

Why is it unavailable for preorder on Origin? Because there is no set release date, amazon etc will put it up for preorder just based on knowing it exists.

Why is it unavailable for preorder on Origin? It seems to only be physical copies that are out for preorder. It's somewhat strange.

In my opinion, it would be pretty stupid not to have controller support for the Legendary Edition. Nowadays, every PC port provides controller support (some games even recommend it). I use a controller for the majority of the games on my PC, which is connected to my television. As part of BioWare's goal to "modernize" the original trilogy, it would make sense to provide controller support for those who prefer it. If not, why? Would it be an issue with the HUD layout on PC? Is it difficult to program the hotkeys to disappear, and switch from the weapons/power menu to the weapon/power wheel whenever a controller is in use?

with Microsoft having made it technically easier to port/convert Xbox games to Windows + them already having wired/wireless support for their Xbox controllers on PC + that Xbox game bar whatever App on PC (that you can't get rid off, even on business devices lol) I'm positive the Legendary Edition on PC will have full native Xbox controller support, for those that want it Also, happy to see it's UE and they use the same engine for all 3 games with Bioware seemingly able to focus on the gameplay, while the other studio does the graphics. Very happy to read about bug fixing too. Wonder if the "same updated" UE engine will get used across all 3 games, like in the recently remade Mafia trilogy where they used the engine from game 3 for game 1, at least to my knowledge. I'll definitely get the LE console version for sure. Having finally all preorder/special weapons and stuff available and updated graphics alone are worth it to me. For PC I'll get it later down the line.

with Microsoft having made it technically easier to port/convert Xbox games to Windows + They are using the PC version of ME1, unless they are lying about the Legendary Edition having all the DLCs. Why? Because the ME1 console DLC code was lost years ago.

I'm really interested if this newly remastered version will even look better than a PC modded ME1 with 4k textures and ENB overlay. It still looks incredible for its time today.

Very happy to read about bug fixing too. One thing I am curious about bug fixes: will some player-friendly bugs/glitches/exploits remain, or will they get fixed? Some that come to mind: - ME1 Lorik Quin persuasion exploit that allows you to repeat some conversation to gain repeated Paragon and/or Renegade points. This should be removed, but it saves a lot of time to build up at least one of your meters (to get the free persuasion points) - ME2 Tech Armor resetting squadmate powers. This was originally a feature at some point during development but removed, but still somehow made it into the final product. This could be removed without most players noticing or caring, but it will be interesting to see if it remains in the game. - ME2 Stasis damage exploit. Enemies falling out of Stasis take way more damage than they should. It is a bug, but it made Stasis a little more interesting. I am also curious to see if there are bugs that do not get fixed, but no one really cares about because they belong to powers that no one really uses. Think the Marksman bug on Ashley, or Defense Drone fire rate evolution doing the opposite.

Think the Marksman bug on Ashley, or Defense Drone fire rate evolution doing the opposite. I would prefer they focus on making the Mako driveable like the Nomad in ME1 ( ). Lorik Quiin bug was the only way to get Darius mission and i would really like the bug that allows anyone to wear the heavy armor to not disapear.
On ME2 they will likely focus on the game breaking bugs that happen with DLCs in newer hardwares.

I won't be buying it, but I will be appreciating its existence. Gonna buy it for the sake of more playthroughs with better graphics AND redone combat system in ME1. Actually, ME1's combat system is the main reason I can't touch the game anymore despite its story and characters. Also, all DLCs are going to be included and there's that tiny chance a ME!Remaster playthrough can be exported to ME5.

at present that place is pretty useless, but it'd be nice if they used it for ME5 import, depending on which route they'll go of course.
