Remember the Great Miranda Civil War on the old forums? Good times. There was nothing civil about that war.

do we already know if the ME2 squad recruitment missions are now free of the Xbox360 disc size limitation (fixed few before Horizon, only then the others unlock) or if it's do 4-5 out of everyone, then Horizon, then the rest? main complaints so far seem to be these: - no ME3 Multiplayer
- No LI changes (having more/all characters available for both mshep and femshep)
- No new content (new/altered endings, cut stuff)
- No Pinacle Station
- Modding: Either false claims by Mac Walters and Co. or a misunderstanding (see the various tweets and articles in the last 48 hours). Update should follow according to the Gamer reporter lady
Bioware stated in their very first announcement (N7 Day 2020 blogpost) that MELE would contain all SP. Didn't mention MP. I get that is is well liked, even almost 10 years later, however for those that could read and put 2 and 2 together it was clear. For some LIs it might have been possible to add them retroactively in ME1 (Kaidan mshep who apparently have dialogue files), but AFAIK nothing would have been there for ME3 for all that aren't already an LI (no voice recordings, no cut scenes) They stated clearly it's a Remaster not a Remake, wanted to bring the MET into the present/future without altering their stories. (Personally would have also have preferred it to be otherwise) Wasn't the Pinacle station source code already lost/bricked or whatever back when it finally released on PS3?! (Thankfully story wise it isn't a big loss, got to play it on PC) they never said it would have all SP DLC in that blog post, they said “and DLC […] plus promo weapons, armors, and packs”, not “all DLC”. I remember seeing it and thinking 'it doesn't say 'All' like outlets are reporting, wasn't the Pinnacle Station code lost?'

You should have been able to slap on a 75mm anti tank cannon, two rapid firing cain cannons and two nuclear ICBMS onto it.😉 I disagree. Why? Weight. The other reason is you want to retreat in a quickly manner when you become overwhelmed. I would have mounted a 7.62mm minigun. It may not pierce the thickest armor, but it will take down most everything else. Most of all it will cause the enemy firing at you to get to cover, or at the very least seek cover to avoid taking damage, long enough for you to retreat to a safe area. You want to know why the car didn't have the capability to have any weapons? No room for any. Look at the inside. When Ryder and squad used it, they had to use the shrink ray to fit in the vehicle. Made less sense given they were heading towards a completely unknown situation where it is entirely possible that thy will face hostile alien life forms. Apparently safety was at the bottom of the priority list. Hmm. Sounds familiar. The only thing that went right was arriving in a new galaxy. Soon after, it went to crap. There was no backup plans as to what to do in case something happens. They left the Milky Way on a prayer and with their fingers crossed. The plastic pacifism (why are you bringing small arms but not big guns, what's the difference?) was dumb in the Nomad's case, but even worse for their ships and the Nexus having zero defenses. It wouldn't have been hard to have defenses put in place on the ships. It's something we have in today's Navy. For the tempest, it could have armament similar to what is seen with today's fighter. What is funny is the Hyperion has fighters on it. Why wasn't the pilots and the pathfinder team not waken shortly before arriving in the galaxy? They wake up early to get the kinks out of their bodies, do an equipment check to make sure everything is in working order, go over any possible scenarios they might run into and finally get each team member familiar with each other. Once you arrive, launch the fighters to lead the way to make sure there's no unexpected disturbances. It's possible they would/could have seen the scourge and tell the Hyperion to alter course to avoid it. The problem wasn't the kett, but with their leader, Archie. He was so obsessed, hmmm sounds like a couple other characters, to finding out about the Jardaan stuff, he ignored the threat that was in his face. When Ryder is detected on his ship, I would have fired at the salarian ship destroying it and possibly the tempest. When taking the Hyperion, leave a force behind so that little Ryder is forced to choose between saving the Nexus or the Hyperion. If there's to be a sequel to MEA, I would want the kett to show up in force to destroy the Nexus at the beginning of the game since they know the location of the Nexus and the outposts. Heck one good-sized force of pirates could have ENDED the AI Take away the scourge, the tempest would have been destroyed when it first encounter Archie, and again when facing Archie and his fleets over Meridian.

Why run when you can use those ICBMS to blast them when I things get hairy. 1) the radius of the explosion will likely kill you as well. 2) How would you mount one on the car? 3) Is the car large enough to carry more then one missile? 4) Let's say you use the one you have, what will you do when the next wave of baddies show up?

Conceptually that made sense and was cool.
But in terms of gameplay, I also desperately wanted a gun on the Nomad, I can't lie.
Never made sense to me. You go armed in exploration.

Least you'll go out in style.😉 2. Mount both on the sides. 3. If you make them small enough, or use a low yield one. 4. You'll have two. So if you're about to die you could just take the next wave with you.

I'm glad the butt-shots are gone, they never made any sense to me. "I'm having a serious conversation here about a life or death situation, but hey let's linger on my perfect ass for a few moments shall we?". I thought the whole point of Miranda was to show that she was more than her perfect genetics, that she wasn't an object but a person with character and flaws, and instead that butt-shot just went back to her being an object to be desired and undermines the message. I'm really no prude, contextually appropriate butt-shots would be perfectly fine (for example during a sex scene).
For the record I don't remember any shirtless scene with Jacob, was this something that was shown when not in a romance? I do remember my Shepard acting a bit weird around Jacob even when I wasn't (and had no intention of) romancing him.

Do you think the addition of the Genesis Comics will be problematic, for example, when importing an ME2 Character (imported from ME1) if the player wants to replay ME2 with all the bonuses? It proved to be an issue with the original copy of the game. If Genesis was installed, the game would only register the comic, even if trying to start new game plus, meaning you would lose your armor, credits, and other bonuses (along with certain choices carried over from ME1).
PS: What about the helpful Paragon Glitch in the "Lost Module" mission from ME1? I hope that remains.

I only talked to him when you are on the Normandy for the first time, and again when you talk to him to start his LM. The times that I past him however, he wasn't shirtless, so it's safe to say that it only happens when you romance him.

Mass Effect News @masseffect_News Update [31] More casual outfits available in ME2, the tight braid hairstyle from MEA has been added, mission computers (pause menus) have been harmonized. Certain shots of FemShep and cinematics in ME1 have been adjusted.
Not restoring cut content includes seeing Tali's face. Full resolution audio added and every track rebalanced. ME1 world redesigns include audio changes. Dynamic shadow improvements, lens flare upgrades, motion blur harmonized across trilogy.

Brand new outfits or ones from MEA? Right now I've just got this one quote: "You can also access additional casual outfits in Mass Effect 2. Think war and then make it fashion." So no changing outfits in ME1 remaster. Guess the other part means possible outfits that you see in ME2 with the option of changing the colour scheme, like in MEA.

She died though. She died off camera and a simple line like “Reports of my death have been exaggerated.’” would have been fine no matter how ludicrous it might have sounded. Conversations about surviving death would have been nice like Ashley’s cut conversation about the afterlife and Shepard’s death state.

Is there a way to toggle it off? Mac Walters @macwalterslivesYes! You'll be prompted if you want to skip and just start playing the game.

You'll be prompted if you want to skip and just start playing the game. That's interesting. That's good to know, I guess. Not that I want to use the Comics. I just don't want them to interfere if I were to replay ME2 with a Shepard imported from ME1. That's an existing problem in the current copies of the game. (I don't know if it's the same with ME3) You were forced to use the comic when starting New Game Plus, meaning you would lose some things carried over from ME1 (i.e. Kirrahe would end up dead if he survived in your ME1 save), along with your ME2 bonuses like armor, credits, etc, unless you uninstalled the comic. It was annoying.
