I see nothing wrong in keeping the old outfits and giving more options in terms of attire, for those that had problems with the way some outfits and mask breathers breaks the lore. That goes beyond the women, at least for me. Thane, Mordin, and even Zaeed and Grunt. Or Garrus and the dumb decision to keep the broken armor.

For me at least, the outfit issue was never a problem about the female ones, or giving an option to people to wear them, but not giving the other side cool looking, sci-fi armours and outfits that aren’t lore-breaking.

It seems BioWare agrees in any case with your stance, given that Samara and Jack have their original attires in the trailer. If they were keen on changing them, they’d have taken the chance to showcase the changes.

The news on the butt shot was already discussed either Tuesday, or Wednesday, it’s not something that came up yesterday. And it was actually the perfect opportunity to say that based on their new stance, they’d revise some outfits. They didn’t.

While I agree that anything can change at this point, I don’t see the point of showing off characters on certain outfits, when they’re planning to scrap them in just a few months. It’ll be dumb. I mean, Ashley’s redesign in ME3, as far as I recall, had a far more negative reception and less split in the fanbase then Jack or Samara’s outfit, and they’re keeping it, seemingly, by a shot shown from a dlc. 
I’d say it’s far more likely that they’d add more outfits for the squadmates, then scrap the original outfits. 

I think many of us expect more story related changes (fixing issues, repairing codex etc) than outfit related changes (removing camera angles) in ME LE.

Gotcha. It seems however that they are also doing that, in regards of fixing issues, bugs and glitches. Whether it’ll be enough, I don’t know. I guess we’d have to wait and see post release the full scope of the fixing.

This is why I always have Jack wear the vest-n-shades outfit.
I believe people should wear what they wish (and handle the consequences, whatever they may be, if any).

But for a woman who sleeps under the Engineering deck specifically because it's difficult to find and/or see her...

I disagree with you on this point: you’re assuming that just because people want characters to be dressed in lore- friendly attires, that they don’t want them to be cool looking, or attractive, or iconic. I don’t think the two are mutually exclusive, as for example, having Samara in another outfit that would make her look regal.

Although a simple solution is to give every squadmates different outfits that could satisfy both sides.

Ugh. I didn't know about the reveal trailer and the changes they've made.


Guess I won't be buying the LE then after all. Not enough that the moral police is crippling everything new that could have been great, now they're also destroying the memory of my favorite games. Fuck that!

And then it's not even consistent madness. Because they're not adding the Kaidan romance to ME1. Oh no, this crazy movement isn't interested in equality. They just want to censor everything. Men are all evil. I guess female empowerment means shitting on everything and shaming everyone who doesn't comply. Let's all strive to hide every inch of skin of women so they're no longer objectified, we've seen how that works out elsewhere...

I think they are. As a fan of comic books, I can tell you that generic, uninteresting design do not make for iconic looks at that hurts character appeal.

Alright, let me put it another way. You can create the most generic looking person ever and have them be incredibly memorable and iconic. But it is a really, really big disadvantage. Character looks helped the ME2 squad be well liked. In fact, they are the best liked crew among the majority of ME fans. Not saying you don't like the Andromeda crew, or the ME3 crew or ME1 crew best, but among the greater population, the ME2 crew is the most memorable. You can ask. Outside of Resetera.

if they were ridiculious then why the tantrum?

They aren't a big deal or neccessary to the story. If they were stuck in there I'd 'enjoy' them as is but I'm glad they are gone.
