Been thinking of trying that one out but still on the fence. Lately instead of TV I've been watching Let's Plays of games I probably won't buy but have wanted to see. I'm on PC normally and don't get to see a lot of console exclusives for instance. Or just games where I'm curious about the story but not in the mood to play. Recently finished watching playthroughs of Jedi Fallen Order and Borderlands 3. Been puttering around watching XCOM2, but want something a bit more action paced for viewing. I'm finding it interesting trying to find the right style of streamer/youtuber too. I'll pick a game and try several different streams. Some are done with no talking, some talk too much, one lady seemed to yell everything. Some people cut their videos to only show the action but you miss the thought processes behind what they are doing. It's hard finding that perfect balance.
***
PS: Watching someone play a game that you can play better can be interesting, frustrating at times, but interesting. Was watching Baldur's Gate 3 and seeing someone make some, er, poor decisions, was fun. Got to see something I never would have were I playing it myself.
Then there are other times, like watching this guy play Borderlands 3, where I'm internally cursing at the screen for him to get that thing RIGHT THERE. >.<

Rewatching the Expanse. It's nice to skip scenes and jump to the ones I want; Holden and his crew.

News? No hockey being played (yet, may be starting Jan 1) and the only on-going show I'm interested in is Dr. Who. Is there even going to be another season? Christmas cartoons when I can find them. "A Charlie Brown Christmas" will be on PBS Dec. 13, so you don't have to have Apple TV to watch it this year. Hopefully they nix the exclusive thing for classic programs like that. I missed the Halloween special because it was Apple only.
Oh, and Jeopardy. Making a point to watch the last ever episodes with Alex Trebek hosting.

Nothing on tv, I've recently stopped watching tv altogether including the usual streaming sites, just bored with it now, really nothing I want to see. Most of my viewing is stuff on blu-ray or on video media platforms, there are a lot more documentaries and lectures uploaded now (history, archaeology and art are some of my personal interests).

C.B. Strike: Lethal White.
Not as good as the other C.B. Strike series. They've made many small changes to the plot in this one. Most of those changes feel unnecessary and/or worse than what was in the book. Both main characters are very serious and there's very little joy in either of them. I liked Holliday Grainger's version of Robin better when she wasn't quite as gloomy and self-centered as book!Robin is. Jasper Chiswell and Lorelei were both miscast imo.

Needed to watch something while I put away a mountain of laundry today, so I tried to watch WANDAVISION on my Disney+ account, I tried I really did. I wanted to try to enjoy it.....But I could barely get 10 minutes into the Pilot and had to turn it off. Find something else. The whole 1950s serialized comedy schtick was a real turn-off for some reason, even though I've been told it becomes something like what we are used to seeing in the movies...that it would get better, and that there is actually a plot reason for why it starts and looks the way it does. Still, I couldn't get past the outward presentation. So I began rewatching REBELS, and found myself enjoying it as much as I did the first time I watched it a few months back.
So I'm currently watching Star Wars: REBELS Season 1 Ep 20. (For a second time).

This is on my Play List on Netflix.....I've been wanting and meaning to watch it, but just can't seem to hit the PLAY button. Is it good? I certainly love historical stuff and I've always been interested in Samurai.

Now watching Westworld. Almost done with season 1. I would have liked the story to be a bit slower, to get more time to just see the park work in the way it is intended to work instead of jumping immediately to the pinocchio trope plot.

For giggles this morning, because I was up at 3:30 a.m. ET I watched the original STARSHIP TROOPERS for the sake of nostalgia and to see just how badly outdated the movie had become, and I wasn't disappointed. It was bad. So bad in fact, I never bothered with the other three movies.

Still continuing to watch REBELS....and Season 2 Episodes 21 and 22 are some of my favourite of the series. Have toyed with the idea of buying REBELS and CLONE WARS series on Blu-Ray if I cuold find them for a decent price and not several hundred dollars.

No really, it's a cult classic and one of my all time sci-fi favourites. The movie wasn't all that good at release; you either liked it or you didn't. I would suppose it's still the same. And yes, the sequels are trash.

Partners For JusticeA South Korean crime buster tv series. The typical roles; a rookie prosecutor, a coroner, police officers in solving crimes. As usual, silly passionate speeches bloomed everywhere that's so rampant in SK dramas. Best example is when a police officer was accused of a murder. Instead of looking for evidence to prove his innocence, the prosecutor who worked with him went about scolding and letting off her feelings at her colleagues, insisting the cop wasn't the murderer. I watch this just to see the silliness of the script, some messy filming, pacing and what she could sprout off. Before this series, I watched Stranger. Another SK crime drama. Again it's a about a prosecutor and a cop. While they're solving crimes, they had to contend with and resolve the problematic dynamics of bureaucracy and corruption among the higher ups. The script, chars and pacing are good. No silly dramatics.

Hospital Playlist Admittedly an odd name for a SK medical drama but I'm liking it so far in the first ep. It's practical, pragmatic with some funny incidents. Imagine having Darth Vader doing a liver transplant. Before that, I watched two more SK tv dramas. One was a medical drama but more focused on relationships. The MC's story; dragging herself from being unwanted by her family to making something of herself as a doctor and finding out the cause behind her grandmother's death. The second was a romance (I skipped the mushy parts ). The premise of a younger man who'd always thought of the friend he had since he was a kid turning into something else. What's interesting is that she's older than him by a few years, a divorcee. This is not the usual formula for SK dramas (what I've watched so far through the years). Most of the time it's an older man paired with a younger woman.

Working from home for a few weeks. Watching Star Trek: Enterprise. I don't remember it having such a focus on Scott Bakula's ass, but here we are. It's the uniform. I know how people view Enterprise generally, but I preferred it to Voyager and DS9. Mostly because of the better production value. It is effectively my third favourite Trek. It's also nice to have the face of Dominic Keating in memory, the voice of Kormac, the Templar from Diablo 3.

Hospital Playlist Closing in on the last ep of the first season. The second season will start in May this year. The main cast is five doctors (four men, one woman) in their 40s in different departments. They met up as middle schoolers and went on to study medicine together. When the show began, they're already experienced specialists in their fields. The drama follows their relationships with one another, their patients, etc. The five MCs are always there for one another which is the mainframe of the show. It has been compared to the Friends sitcom. I've not watched Friends but this is definitely one of the better SK medical dramas. It is pragmatic with romance and humour mixed in as well. Edit. I've just finished the first season and hope the second season would appear on Netflix. I definitely want to find out if Song Hwa would accept the hints thrown her way though I don't really see it happening, given the dropped titbits of her habit of having boyfriends and dropping them after a while. Whether they cheated on her or not, the relationship always ends. So far, I've only surmised she chose to transfer to another hospital elsewhere to give herself breathing space from the guys who want to be more than friends and to have the persistent problem with her neck resolved. This character exude "perfectness". She's an excellent neuro surgeon, industrious and cares for her patients and residents under her wing. She's tactful and didn't vent on med students and residents when things go wrong. She has her quirks though. Most outstanding feature of the show. FOOD!!!
