Thanks for sharing, but I can't make out who that in the middle should be. I mean, does the guy wear a hat? A space cowboy? Some people call him Maurice.

Beats me. I'm too much of a dilettante to do the data-mining work. Well I FOUND IT 1:22 in the trailer time: Sorry about the color distortion happened after I blew the image up to 6k resolution and brought it back down. Aside from the crew -it looks like a Salarian, Krogan and a Human with an A.I. Helmet. Also I think I found something that hasn't been enhanced that is hiding in the clouds at same timestamp: A ship. Or maybe all have caught it eh oh well... Could that be the new ship? -looks like a Turian cruiser/dreadnaught or....a reaper husk? Maybe the mud skipper is the new mako/hammerhead/nomad? Maybe I'm wrong and I hope I am. I don't wont to be a pogo stick on a planet surface -for this will eventually happen jump hopping from one location to the next:

That looks like Ryder to me. And the salarian looks like Kallo, the krogan is too blurry. Still, I expect them to be placeholders, much like in the mudskipper pic, no matter what Mike Gamble's saying.

" But who is in the background, nathan? You know. But the world doesnt. But can they figure it out? Who knows!" Seems like the person would have some symbolic value. Someone Liara would consider a good fit for Shepard, if she is to smile at them, someone who she perceives as one and one we already would know. So it only makes sense for that character to be Ryder, as we would naturally assume we'd play as them and Ryder is the only other character to have the ability to be both male and female.

That was what I was talking about when I referenced Gamble. That this Nathan dude knows who those characters are supposed to be doesn't mean their character models are included in there, for all we know they could be new characters early in the concept stages. But guesswork is all we have until the next vague, inconclusive pic come next november I suppose.

for all we know they could be new characters early in the concept stages. If not for Mike saying " But the world doesnt. But can they figure it out? Who knows!" It would mean that we would be able to find out who it was, because we would know. It would just be difficult to figure out. The way I see it, because Liara is smiling at them, it can be one of three characters: - Shepard (self-expalantory) - Ryder, who Bioware created to replace Shepard and has thus shoehorned Liara to "approve" as the Shepard replacement - Peebee, because she is the Liara replacement and because she needs to be "approved", as it usually happens, by a previous generation character. That being said, I don't think Ryder will be our player character.

I mean yeah if this is the end of the game or something, she could have come to care for them, but she does not know any of them.
I'm half expecting it to be the Andromeda crew with Liara tacked on, only Bioware could read their audience that poorly

only Bioware could read their audience that poorly You make it sound like a bad thing. Ouff. Liara and the Andromeda crew? It most certainly would be a bad thing. That would be merging the most mediocre aspects of both games in blatant disregard of what fans want. It would be blue grandma babysitting high schoolers with guns.

Guess ren Shep is the douchey frat boy/mean girl with a gun. O, we’re not supposed to poiny out the cringe in the trilogy. I keep forgetting that. Can’t show that Andromeda and the OT share more in common than they differ.

Gotcha. ...I'm not sure what you're wanting from me? Seems plenty of people saw what I saw when I played Andromeda- that being whenever Ryder and crew's mouths opened, there'd typically be a stream of bad timed joking and obliviousness no matter the seriousness of the situation. It wasn't funny or amusing and I don't want it in the next ME. That's all I'm saying, but you can't see it because "muh Rydurrr" And if it's "good points" you're wanting, it's not like you've made any for why we should have any of that in the next ME.

I think it's well merited to discuss the ugly, what made it ugly, and ensure it doesn't happen again. And since you asked so kindly for Shrek. I won't question your choice.

Just because you personally don't like it, doesn't mean the criticism of Ryder and Andromeda isn't valid. Your sweeping dismissal of these criticisms is folly and changes nothing. Truth is, the game was a huge let down for many fans for valid reasons. Therefore, it will always be subject to ridicule, likely long after many of us have departed these forums. In conclusion: BioWare would be wise to keep Andromeda in ME4 to a minimum.

Though for me the Graphics and Facial animations that everyone complained about don't bother me.
For me the reason I abhor ME:A was far different and only two fold. The first being the story is just an epic fail to begin with and of course the dreaded: MEA ENDLESS INSTALL LOOP (30+ days of trouble shooting!). IF ME4/5 does get released I hope I will be able to acquire via Epic or Steam service I no longer have Origin nor will use it again.
