Maybe not reviled, but a fair number of places I've been to don't have the best opinion of Andromeda.

Even the places most favorable towards Andromeda regard it as a distant second to the OT.

Reddit? r/masseffect is coming around, but there's still clearly a healthy amount of skepticism towards BioWare even in the subreddits for their franchises. The few people I've seen unconditionally defend Andromeda haven't been the finest people to deal with, and two of them in particular have been shit-talking others for preferring the trilogy or thinking it's better. Much like you, as a matter of fact.

Gaming sites such as IGN, Eurogamer and the like? The commenters there range from "it's a good game, but it's even close to OT level" to "it fucking sucks".

General forums such as SpaceBattles? Lol. Same old story.

So please, do us (and yourself) a big favor and stop making a fool of yourself.

A fair number of people in these places havent even played the game, but have made their mind (like certain group here ), that the game is unplayable etc.

I like both OT and A, 1 and A more than others as my signature says, and would never even consider taking anything seriously these people say who've never played it

Imagine if I got busted in Mexico for drug dealing and my defense was that, since I can't read Spanish, I can't be guilty of something because I don't know what it is. Then, once the court convicts me, saying the Mexican court is not a credibly authority to convict me.

I did not mean "revile", just that the interest for said title waned significantly faster than most of its predecessors. And even that, I'd argue, wasn't it's own fault, but rather the direct fault of its predecessor. But ME:A didn't turn that tide, either.


I think audience engagement, which rises with a game release and falls after release, which seems to be reflected in the graph, is a more useful metric than metacritic. Of course, there is always a margin of error, but so is in everything. But for its intents and purposes, I think it is accurate enough.


Again, I wouldn't use the term reviled. Sure, there are some that "revile" it, I do not count myself amongst them, but I don't like it, either. I am fairly indifferent to it. It exists, that's about the extent of my opinion about it. But "it exists" is a very far cry from "I like it". It's a blip in the radar.
