RMA is something I would only ever do in person and not online or at the store where I got it. I would go straight to the manufacture's door step -which something that just can't be legally done. I don't possess the skills to resurrect broken or dead silicon chips, so I'll exercise my rights as a consumer and have them replaced or repaired for free under warranty.

Or acquire those skills so you have the option of both. Should you happen to fail at one -another option you would still have. I recently got arthritis in my right index -locked up from time to time. Made working on computers hard so I got around it... I spent months training my index by force bending it with pliers 90*. It hurt at the time but I now have muscles on the sides of it -with very little pain. It now bends again with very little pain if any so now I continue my computer side work. Nothing not even pain is going to stop me from using or acquiring a skill I need.

Can one move the guts of this computer to a standard sized case? Now that I've seen the motherboard I'd advice against this. It's a non-standard MoBo and I fear moving it to a new case would be more trouble than it's worth. Swapping the fan is the way forward.

there will eventually be goop there -after 5 years or more. Certainly, hence maintenance is required. But if you like doing this yearly maintenance I won't stop you. No-one likes maintenance, but it is what it is. I drained the loop, took about 30 minutes tops. Pretty simple and no spillages. PC's got a diaper that needs changing You haven't changed diapers recently, I assume? Not for the faint-hearted.

For me its worse than not liking liquid maintenance -I simply hate and loathe it.
I hate draining liquids especially since if they clog... What should take little time can turn into hours. Saying this from experience with two sisters who had hip length hair growing up.
No.
I have hyperesthesia of touch, hearing, taste and if you include my glasses -sight... But my hyperesthesia of smell is the worst.
I am a Sentinel but keep those diapers away from me!

If he has done PBO that would be a good point to stress test the machine under. I still would run it disabled in the end. There is better performance to be had without it and assuming direct control over it.

Don't condone the Oven method -though it works sometimes -the If it's still under warranty, I'll get an RMA. If it's no longer under warranty and I'll try my luck with reflowing the solder. Just keep in mind that a lot of times broken solder is not the cause. If it's a damaged RAM or GPU, that's not something that you can fix.

It really depends on the application. The good thing about Precision Boost Overdrive is that you can still keep all the power saving features of the CPU plus the extra boost clock. When you do the traditional overclocking on the Ryzen, all the cores are locked at the exact same speed. That means they will work great on heavily threaded tasks like rendering, but not so well for lightly threaded stuff like gaming. On top of that, your CPU is also constantly consuming a lot more power even at idle. Yeah, it depends on the application. For most people, using Precision Boost Overdrive and undervolting at the same time is the most ideal way to overclock a modern Ryzen system.

Have you tried Precision Boost Overdrive yet? Indeed I have. [Build results] Default results are out of the box, except for the correct memory timings. Not too shabby, and much better than my current rig. Water cooling is nice and quiet, despite the aggressive fan and pump curves that I set. Enabling AMD's PBO makes quite the difference: Cinebench renders faster, but noise becomes unbearable. This is where the fun begins: Undervolting 4 cores by -5V and overclocking the GPU memory clock +500MHz. I left the two best cores well enough alone. Cinebench doesn't get much faster, but Time Spy jumps. The rig reaches max temps at 75C; haven't seen it go higher. And finally the realm of diminishing returns. You could go higher, but there's really no point with this setup. The temps are stable at 75C, but that's already too high in my mind. I did benchmark after every change I made, these are just the results that seemed worth documenting. There hasn't been a single crash yet, everything is nice and stable.

[Build afterthoughts] The Setup: AMD Ryzen 5600X MSI Tomahawk X570 Wifi Crucial Ballistix DDR4 3600 CL 16 2x8GB Samsung 980 M.2 1TB Asus Geforce RTX 3060 Dual 12GB Win 10 Pro Fractal Design Define 7 Black The case: Too small for a custom loop, especially with an optical drive. Thumb screws are useless, which is probably why they come with a Phillips screw drive. Come on, there were better thumb screws in the '90s! Good airflow after you remove the door. PWM Fan hub is great. The front grill resonates at low pump RPMs. Will have to address that. CPU + MoBo: Good combo, would recommend. Some weirdness with the memory at first, but worked fine after entering timings manually. GPU: IF you could buy this at MSRP, it would be a great budget card. The Fans: Noctua NF-A14 PWM fans are great and they come with Y-splitters, so less cables to connect all the way.
