I've never really looked in this audio space before, so it's interesting to me how few options there are available. I'm finding most of the kits have rather proprietary connections, like in the Z623 there the speaker with the controls on it has a DB9 connector, then RCA for the other speaker, and RCA or 3.5mm for input. Having said that, if you already have the USB DAC that has the 3.5mm outputs for the 5.1 (or is it 7.1 capable) then you can just get the various speakers to plug into that. With this setup it would be a bunch of powered monitor speakers, so you can do individual channel volume control, which could be nice. I assume you'd get 3X T10s, but only use the powered one as the sound source for each channel? You can get pretty long USB cables, which will pull apart if being yanked on/tripped over, so maybe a couple of extensions with a breakpoint where the USB can be yanked out... Yes the USB DAC is 7.1 capable. Though the jacks in it force both the L&R channels through the same port: IE: Green L&R Front Silver L&R Side Black L&R back.
The one that concerns me is the yellow that is supposed to be Center/Sub... Considering that I would use the z623 which has sub in the green front... IF I plug the T10 into it would it want to be bass boost or just function as center channel?
Been reading more up on the Z623 -specifically the subwoofer which apparently has a tendacy to fail quickly if used a lot... And the speakers may develop a whine if this happens...
With my daily work and my music that is an absolute no sell.
Maybe I should revise and go 3 T10's and this for subwoofer -since it comes with a rca to 3.5 mm pin adapter: Yes that is a PSW10 from Polk Audio.
So at least my Subwoofer will give me the:

Maybe I should revise and go 3 T10's and this for subwoofer I think that sounds a lot better than your initial idea. The PSW10 looks decent enough spec-wise, and it should serve you well when you want to upgrade the satellites for something beefier. Good price too.

The subwoofer we have (though I don't think they're around anymore) is from GEKKO. It's amazing. Gives the "feel your internal organs rumble and vibrate" deep kind of bass without sounding distorted or muddy. I think the size is 10 inches, 300 watts.

I grew up with Klipsch in the house - and that's what I have now (except the SVS sub), but I don't think you can go wrong with Polk. That sub could carry on supporting the T10s, or whatever you might eventually replace them with (polk bookshelf or surround speakers with a 5.1 amp maybe). I like this PSW10 + T10s idea the best so far.

I agree....Klipsch and Polk Audio are both excellent choices.
Harman Kardon(and any of its subsidiaries such as AKG, JBL, Martin Audio, Mark Levinson, BANG & Oluffson) would be another.
Truth be told there are so many excellent, top-tier brands (many of them are American or British) that deliver excellent sound, performance and quality it is often very hard to choose.
It would be easier to list the brands to "stay away from"

So, audio talk huh. Audio equipment is important for gaming, so we're still on topic, right? I'll start by telling what I used to have and what I have now. My living room setup used to be Pioneer A-class preamp > Quad 100W power amp > Seas 303 floor speakers. But we used to move a lot, and those spakers were a chore to move, so I replaced them with a pair of Kef Q10s. I used to be well-versed in surround sound systems, but I've only designed and executed a 5.1 setup once for my mate. I'm still using those Kef Q10s, but my preamp crashed and burned, so I replaced it with a no bells nor whistles Denon stereo amp. The Quad is sulking in storage, hoping to get out one day. My PC setup is simply a Pro-Ject USB DAC and a pair of Genelec 8030s. For the uninitiated: Genelec makes professional studio monitors. They are very, very good, but they are monitors, so you have to sit in the hot spot for them to sound proper. Finally, my headphone set is the Sony WH1000XM3. For bluetooth headphones they are quite good, and the noise cancelling is phenomenal. So there. Who's next?

Well you know mine so I won't reitterate. That said custom location of speakers with 5.1 is something unique. Most probably would put the subwoofer below the monitor or tv others may put it off to the side. Not me. My intent: Put it right under the chair I am going to be using. BASS!

Well this is certainly thought provoking:
Maybe I am wrong but: The Low Hash Rate 30 series actually have slightly better FPS across most games. People also seemed to have noticed that they use slightly less memory. They also seem to run a few degrees cooler. Well I think I know why this is the case: The LHR cards seems to use slightly less power: To me its a good enough trade off -I like efficiency and the LHR looks like a good choice come January.

I have some big floor standing Klipsch speakers that I ... liberated inherited, they're 5-something (from the late 90s.) They're paired up with 4 additional more-modern Klipsch surround speakers and an SVS cylinder sub, which is about 16in/40cm in diameter and 4ft/1.2m tall - it has no problem making the room vibrate. This is really just for movies, since I basically stopped going to the movie theatre quite a few years ago. I'm using an older Denon AVR 4xxx to run all this. I don't have any speakers on the computer, I'm using a TEAC dac/amp to drive my audio-technica ATH-A900X headphones. I spend more time listening to music on the computer while working or whatnot.

Put it right under the chair I am going to be using. Under couch subwoofers used to be popular; that should work ok. If your chair muffles the sound too much, it's just an indication that the sub's too small. so went with: Elac SUB1010 That should work too, they are pretty similar.

Doesn't sound bad except the surgeon cut a nerve.
So my glutinous maximums goes numb and its like being paralyzed from the waist down.
If I sit on a chair with a cushion for more than 10 minutes: So I can't sit on cushions but hard seats don't cause the same numbness.

Surgeons, what a bunch of butchers. Yup. The fans were manually set to 100%, but yes, no issues whatsoever. Seems to run fairly quiet and cool while gaming too. Although some of it may be due to the good airflow.

Where is everyone? The thread looks kinda quiet these days. Surely there is some hardware stuff to discuss. Well, Canada Computers FINALLY has DDR 5 RAM in stock and listed on their site...... The only brand I would consider is G.SKILL.....but it STARTS at 549.99 CAD and goes as high as 700! The CPUs are that much! The Boards, too! Why on earth is RAM so bloody expensive????? I mean, sure it's crazy fast....the fastest yet (upwards of 6000 Mhz) but the technology hasn't changed in....I don't know how long.

No crashes, no hardware issues, and everything works as intended. I took it out and cleaned it in the backyard. It was actually fairly clean because of the air purifier in my bedroom and the air filters in the PC. That's about it.
