How many items per UPS can you run? Also how much time does a full charge get you on one? I would like it to be able to run 5 hours without a charge. That is an hour longer than the average length of a power outage here. Also remember this system will have ALOT of fans, speakers, theWhiteSnowBall, powered joystick and wheel with pedals. How long would that UPS work in this scenario? Also isn't it dangerous to daisy chain UPS's? A UPS is mainly to give you enough time to save your work and properly shut down your computer to prevent data loss during a power outage. You should only connect the essential devices to the battery like your PC and your monitor. Not your speakers. Let's say your PC and your monitor use 500 watts under heavy load. A 1500VA UPS would give you only about 10 minutes of runtime under these conditions. However your PC is mostly idle when it's flashing BIOS (under 200 watts), so it should easily give you more than 30 minutes of runtime to finish the task. You shouldn't daisy chain anything either. It's definitely a bad idea. If you want more battery runtime, you can use a large UPS for your PC and a separate UPS for your other devices like your monitor. If you have cable internet, I also recommend running the coaxial cable to the UPS before connecting it to the modem. This way it also protects your modem from the power surges through the coaxial cable.
Anyway, you should use one especially if you live in an area where power outages are common.
If you're looking for something that can power your PC for more than 5 hours, get a standby generator for your house that is safe for sensitive electronics. About the daisy chain -I thought so just making sure. Though just 10 Minutes? That would work for the BIOS update. Still... I would rather still get a back up MB in case something did eventually go wrong. A standby Generator would be better yes but way beyond my pay grade. Even with the Power Station versions of a UPS the best that I could manage would be half the power output. And that would be at the same pay level for instance I checked Kohler Power standby generators. Their best offer is 48kW for $17k. A power station UPS may be a better choice -if and when I can ever get one. The following one would power for about 1.2 hours I believe. www.amazon.com/1200W-OUPES-Generator-992Wh(310-Generators/dp/B09V77LJMB/For it says its 1800W for $1K. Granted that is just one. More could definitely add to bearing the load. This new system is going to be around 800W load -maybe 850W. So it would probably have a two hour charge. Though may have to save up for this UPS since all my savings will be going into the GPU this month. Come 21st oh so quickly.

Well save a bit and get another 3060 Nah, my current setup is fast enough for now. My only AAA title that I play is TW3, and it runs just fine. handled an hour at 79-81* C with no fan. That's how I fried one of my cards. Don't remember what it was anymore, Geforce something. The fan failed without a warning and my gaming session ended abruptly. Yeah of all the cards I have had only Zotac cards still function if the fan stops working. I really do believe that whatever weaknesses Zotac cards may have their build durability isn't one of them. As stated previously most likely using lower quality heatsink materials... But making up for that factor by making the heatsink bigger with more heatsink fins and bigger heat pipes.

A power station UPS may be a better choice It actually might suit you better. UPS + Genny combos tend to be awkward and expensive. To give you an idea:

Why did I just visulize a whole basement of generators with switch layovers to a UPS... Not to mention the gas requirements OYE!.

This new system is going to be around 800W load -maybe 850W. My system's peak power usage is only 700 watts including the monitor. It uses about 160 watts on idle and around 500 watts in most games. I don't know what you're planning on using, but it's safe to say that your new PC won't use anywhere near 800 watts.

This plan has ALOT of fans. I KNOW. I KNOW. You only need 3 or 4 fans. I build for longevity and redundancy so that if one fails there is another active at least long enough to order replacements. All the while being able to still use it without hindrance. I arrive at 800W by PC Partpicker so yeah it could be off but I am sure it will be close: pcpartpicker.com/list/LKPMZwGive the plan a look -it may make sense but given my weirdness -which I find out is autistic inclination. Then again given the autistic heritage it could also maybe not make sense. Give me a bit I find the build plan... Here it is: bsn.boards.net/post/1465248/thread

Why did I just visulize a whole basement of generators with switch layovers to a UPS... If you go big, might as well go all the way... I've seen a setup like this once in a hospital (one of my hats used to be a certified electrician). People don't realize it, but hospitals are like ships: they need to be able to operate on diesel power, in case of a power grid failure.

Well, you know what I always say: if it's worth doing, it's worth overkilling! I actually took a more conservative approach for my build. I basically took it easy and stuck with the tried-and-true. I'm quite impatient so I like to finish my builds as soon as possible. I enjoy the results such as being able to play all the latest games immediately with all the eye candy and high FPS. Personally, that's the whole point of having a nice PC.

At least the Amazon reviews were honest: a lot of one star reviews with "do not buy" -warnings. It's not even full HD, it's extrapolated 720p. You can't get anything proper for that price, so it's basically cheap Chinese junk. If you still plan on giving it away afterwards, you'd be doing someone a disservice.
