No, the 2019 G935. They came out almost at the same time as ANTHEM, which I specfically bought them for because of the need to communicate with squad members during missions and tell everyone what you're doing so that mission goals are completed and there would be no wasted time or confusion around who was doing what when. I haven't used my 935s since I bought the 2.1 THX-Certified Z623s late last year...But I still keep the G-Hub software on my PC just in case I want to, because the 935s use DTS X v 2.0 for spatial surround which even with my fluctuating hearing loss, to me, sounds pretty cool. They were quite expensive when I first got them....about 200.00 CAD after tax, but I also got 100 dollars off the purchase price because I pre-ordered online, so at 200.00 the final price wasn't that bad. I would recommend this set to anyone looking for a surround sound gaming set. Tried Logitech Gaming Software instead? Was developed when Logitech actually cared a little bit more than they now do. Still not the best but again simplicity over sophistication.

*drinks Earl Grey because right now coffee tastes like Buckely's*
Well first thing this morning I booted up my PC and opened EDGE....and *instant flashy* happened, so I did what I never though I would do, I finally switched over my Mouse from the Logitech G502 HERO (which I really like) to the new EVGA X17, juust this morning a moment ago. The X17 feels smaller in my hand and the response on the screen is so much faster! Almost tooooo fast for my liking.
But it looks as though the *flashy thingy* behaviour has disappeared since unplugging the Anti-Hero and deleting the GHub stuff. I've had the Anti-Hero for nearly 18 months and I liked it right away, but this recurring problem has really vexxed me. It's rendered my PC unusable. I guess this X17 will take some time to get used to and I won't go back to using the G502 unless or until Logitech gives me a fix or sends me a new Mouse. I'll just get used to using the X17 and I'm sure in time I will become accustomed to it.

The Hero is rated for a maxiumum of 25,000 DPI and the X17 is only a max of 16,000 DPI. Maybe also check the polling rate if you haven't Worst case scenario here are some that are similar to the G502: www.slant.co/options/4502/alternatives/~logitech-g502-alternativesThough one not included that I have found being recommended for people using the G502 and who are switching is the Razer Basilisk.

Thanks for your post. Yes I have checked the DPI Settings and they're always set at around 1200 for my personal liking. Actaully since this morning at about 10....I think the problem has finally, finally been solved though I don't like the reason. I spoke with another Rep from Logitech and she suggested that I switch USB ports; luckily I have 4 x USB 2.0 ports. My Razer Black Widow keyboard and my G502 were always in the two middle ports right next to one another. So I pulled out the Mouse, cleaned both the Mouse port and the port on the Motherboard, then moved the mouse to one port over so there is now a space between the KB/M.....and Viola! NO Flashing of any kind. She also watched the video I sent and said "It is extremely strange and even more rare to see this, it is definitely not a behaviour one would associate with a Mouse or software. But let's continue to rule things out" So....today since I switched USB ports, the strange screen flashing is totally, completely, absolutely gone. While I am glad of that, I hate to think of the reason- a bad USB prt on a $500 Motherboard that is less than 18 months old. And it can't be just that, because it was happening with my old system too, which was why I bought the new 10 series CPU and rig. What was wrong with my old system that it even started in the first place? I think it is just a coincidence that it has carried over and continued to present itself in this manner, especially now if on this relatively young Motherboard, it has happened again, only this time taken form due to a faulty USB port. But again, I don't like to think that there is anything gone bad on a Board that is 500.00 CAD. If that is the case though, I'm glad to solution was so easy and readily fixable....and that I don't have to replace the Motherboard again. That would really piss me off.

If that is the case though, I'm glad to solution was so easy and readily fixable....and that I don't have to replace the Motherboard again. That would really piss me off. There are many things that it could be... First though you sure your matching USB types via device to the computer? Is the Keyboard USB 2.0 or 3.0? I know the 502 is USB 2.0. I know. I know. Backwards compatibility and all that -except... In rare and extreme cases things get weird if not paired correctly. 2.0 to 2.0 and 3.0 to 3.0 For instance I have a docking station that is 3.0 but will not work in 2.0 My USB hub however is USB 3.0 and will work in 2.0 -strangeness but I expect weirdness with USB. That all said I say its the keyboard that is actually the issue. How? Usually if the KB has a USB port -which some Blackwidow's have AND that model does have a history of issues with it. The keyboard could be trying to connect a phantom mouse that it expects to be in the KB USB port -if the keyboard does have the port. It would also explain the reason that separating the connection ports works -so far -less USB overload interference. Try a different keyboard and you may be able to keep the G502 in the works without have to move the port if you need it for something else.

But I don't want to give up my Razer BW! Now that I have a Mechanical keyboard....I love the clicky feeling, I honestly can't see how I ever typed on a trradtional rubber membrane keyboard.
If I ever needed another Keyboard I would by another Razer Black Widow or Razer-something, this has been a fantastic keyboard.

I replaced my Razer BW ultimate when I got my new computer this year ... a Razer Huntsman Elite ... optical-mechanical ... which I have been very happy with its performance. Your BW will probably last forever, but if it ever fails, consider the optical-mechanical ... seriously awesome. Unlike the BW, the Huntsman has no USB ports, but with my new rig, I really don't need them.
I also changed mice ... for the first time in a very long time, instead of a Logitech G500 that was great, but getting long in the tooth and software no longer supported by Logitech ... I now have a Razer Basilisk V2 (V3 is out). It took a bit to get used to the third side button position, but muscle memory finally kicked in.

If I ever needed another Keyboard I would by another Razer Black Widow or Razer-something, this has been a fantastic keyboard. I understand. You prefer MX Blue switches -especially due to the tactile response... Not mention you can probably feel "HEAR" the keystrokes -like Marvel's Daredevil. Give me a Membrane -yes membrane keyboard -this one is still going 12 years later. The silence in all things: Typing, gaming and work is golden... Though I do like MX Red switches as well -I like the low resistance. I am liable to break keyboards otherwise. Only suggesting that its the possible root cause due to the USB on the device. You are free to use it -not trying to imply you shouldn't. Just stating that if you wanted to debug the issue to make sure it would never resurface... Then that is one variable that could rule the keyboard out.

Well now here is an option that I wasn't expecting... My hard drive limit is no longer limited to six hard drives via the sata ports -which is usually six. It would be quite expensive and I need no where that level of space yet... I mean why would I need to have 21 hard drives connected this isn't no raid array. Still -nice device: m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51oX-xux30L._AC_SL1100_.jpg

Following on from the '4090s melting power cables'-thing...what level of power draw seems to be the tipping point? Has anyone said?
I ask because I'll periodically view the operation stats showing FPS, latency etc - which also shows power drawn by the GPU. Usually - in the games I've been playing, it peaks at around 180-190W (which seems safe to my mind). The other day I loaded GTA V, set everything to maximum and watched the stats driving along the highway. It was peaking around 240-250W.
GTA V isn't a 'bad' looking game, but damn. Surely this must be an issue with the engine needing more juice to render higher detail levels, right? There is no way that it is more visually demanding than CP2077 or Spider-Man.

From what I know Nvidia uses ABS plastic in the housing of their GPUS. ABS plastic has a melting point of 200*C IE:> 392*F... So once the plastic reaches the heat soak of 180*C the danger zone is being entered in my opinion. Here is a rough calculation method to find degree change over time of temperature of the ABS: Degree change in Celsius of ABS over a minute using 450 watts in a 4090 Strix: 450 W x 60 Secs= 27000J 27000J / 2508g = 10.7655502392 *C 10.7655502392 *C /1.99j/g K = 5.40982424082 *C 5.40982424082 *C... So in one minute the temperature of the plastic raises 5.41 *C More to the point that is 50*C in ten minutes so in 40 minutes it should reach the melting point. Now if its pulling no more that 250 watts it raises the temperature of the plastic by only 3 *C per minute. This of course does not take into account cooling of the plastic via case fans or GPU fans.

Also in the past the shaders would take a lot of power so if you max everything and turn down shaders the power draw "should" decrease... Unless using the ray tracing -I don't know about the power draw they alone pull... Would probably have to take everything to lowest settings and max ray tracing to see how power hungry the RT cores are.

what level of power draw seems to be the tipping point? Has anyone said? I don't think anyone has found anything specific yet. Some versions of the 4090 draw only 450W, so at least that much. But if you have a bad connector, all bets are off.

OR don't buy a 4090. Stick with a 3090 or 3080 (if you can find them) because then you can be assured that you PC won't melt and all that hard-earned well-spent money that you just shelled out for a new rig to support the 4090 won't have gone to waste.
If I had a GPU melt down and it caused damage to other components of a system that I just bought and spend a ton of money on....I'd be hopping mad.

Surely this must be an issue with the engine needing more juice to render higher detail levels, right? There is no way that it is more visually demanding than CP2077 or Spider-Man. As a veteran GTA V/GTA Online and CP2077 player, my experience is a bit different. For GTA V/GTA Online, you definitely need to cap your framerate or use Vsync that's lower than 185 FPS. The game really starts to break and causes random stutters when you go over 185 FPS. If you have a monitor that's higher than 185hz like 240/320hz, you need to use half refresh rate to cap it at 120/160 FPS or manually limit the framerate using Nvidia's Control Panel to something like 180 FPS. If your monitor supports G-Sync, you should definitely use it instead of Vsync. My main PC has a 144hz G-Sync monitor. For GTA V/GTA Online I limit the framerate at 140 FPS and use G-Sync. On average, my RTX 3090 uses less than 300 watts. So capping your framerate really reduces power consumption and makes the game run smoother as well. In Cyberpunk 2077, my framerate usually hovers between 50-90 FPS. So there's no need to limit the framerate at all and the 3090 uses about 350-390 watts.

*cover eyes with sunglasses; covers sunglasses with ears* Don't pay attention to AMD propagandaHonestly, there are very few reasons to get an RTX 4090 over a 7900XT/XTX at this point. First is the ray-tracing performance. In that regard, the RTX 4090 is still far ahead of the 7900XT/XTX. If you don't care much about ray-tracing, you don't need to waste $1600 on an RTX 4090. Second is if you use some specific software that hugely benefit from CUDA acceleration, like Blender. However, AMD seem to have fixed the GPU acceleration for Adobe Premiere Pro. So if you edit and encode a lot of videos with Premiere Pro, you are no longer limited to using Nvidia GPUs.

I've been burned by all but one AMD/ATI Card (even when it was true ATI pre 2006) I've ever owned. The Catalyst COntrol Centre is garbage, worse than Nvidia's Girlfriend Experience. I won't be buying even a 30 series card, I'll stick with my 2080 SuperFTW3 Ultra Gaming....But I'm gonna be sticking with Nvidia cards until PC's just aren't a thing anymore.

PC and PC gaming will always be a thing. Haha. Things have changed since the release of RDNA2. AMD's display drivers have improved immensely, but I understand if you are still reluctant to buy a Radeon card. I also had a lot of issues with my Radeon HD 5970 and R9 290. Those earlier AMD/ATi drivers were horrendous. I had the opportunity to use a PC with an RX 6800 for a couple days and to my surprise, all the games that I usually play worked perfectly without any issues. Even for games that had issues with some earlier AMD/ATi GPUs like GTA V. AMD's Freesync also worked great with my LG monitor. I won't be surprised if a lot of people choose the 7900 XT/XTX over the RTX 4090.

WHAT YOU TALKING ABOUT?!!! ATI was a good GPU maker. Which cards died on you? You sure they were ATI? If you refer to drivers -this is true but its true for both sides -got to find that diamond in the rough. To. This. Day. They made the only GPU that while smoking did catch fire and still ran for about TWO minutes before finally dying... Well it did come back to life for a bit a few days later before it finally died. That said any AMD GPU before the RX 5000 series of GPU's I would agree are not worth it from AMD. For instance the RX 550 I got some time back experienced one motherboard death and died -fans don't even run -where the 1050 Ti still runs.

The software excuse has always been a dead one. IF your technical and know what your doing you don't need either CCC or NGE to get and use the GPU drivers. And now that AMD Radeon Software: Adrenalin Edition is being launched by AMD in December this could get worse but I hope it will be better. It is a unified software architecture and seems fluid -if your settings will hold and control remains yours. Basically it works with for CPU's and GPU's where they can be utilized together -even sharing encoding among BOTH processors. In my opinion it will replace Ryzen Master soon. Just a bit of info: The Catalyst Control Center software was killed in 2018 and replaced with Radeon Software. And as far as AMD software goes among all the horrid they have given us Adrenalin Edition actually has potential. Especially with no tracking, no logins, no registrations... unless they backpedal here then butthurt going to be the least of their worries.
