Everything We Learned About Dragon Age Dreadwolf in 2020-23

I did go ahead and make a video about this, though I don’t actually have a ton to add beyond acknowledging the Title and the background

My take: antivan (royal?), Harleyqun, a rivain rough, Tevinter mage, No idea, executor, ?, The Mourn Watch

As someone said before:

In 2022 we learned that Dragon Age 4 will have the subtitle Dreadwolf… well, that’s enough news for one year.  That’ll tide us over for the game awards. 😅

That was my point. 

So looking at the elf shooting the sci-fi magic bow, the big city, the girl with the gun/high tech crossbow.......what's the odds we're going to get some kind of shadowrun/cyber punk pirate, action-fantasy game?

Not a problem for me personally but it would be a bit of a departure from past games.

So looking around for concept art; saw a spider with human hands, some giant squid/crab hybrid, a living mountain (Korth?), three people about to launch an attack (Mage, Archer w/Crossbow and Sword wielder signaling)......exhausted Lord of Fortune/Rogue signaling to a sword and board Ogre that it needs a rest, don't see their face but if I had to hazard a guess I would say it's the same one from the image where people are diving into water to avoid arrows (including what seems to be the mourn-watch guy)).



Another Thing to look at is the Siamese-Dragon's wings, instead of the usual shoulder/back based ones it seems to be more Wyvern type/Bat Wing with the arms as functioning wings and the hands being where the wings end.

Well, well. It seems the game is real after all. I hadn't dared hope for a long time. 10 years between games is too long to keep any sort of excitement up, but that I haven't moved on completely yet should be interpreted as special regard for DA in general. It seems we will get what I wanted since 2009 - a game set at least partly in Tevinter. That *is* something to get excited about, though I wonder if Bioware's Minrathous can beat Novigrad as a city experience.

Makes me think; are all the giant turtles, sea monsters etc.....showing up because of their own plans or because they are on the run from the Qunari going on the march?

Ahh old times, I remember a thread like this for Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition before they came out. It's good to have all the information in one spot.

12/9/2022 a Netflix series called Dragon Age Absolution dropped. It had six episodes. Suspected timeline is just after the events of Trespasser but before the full Qunari invasion has occurred. Possibly making it before the events that took place in the short stories novel, Tevinter Nights.

To be super clear, the spoilers I'm posting below are absolutely 100% spoilers of this Netflix series in regards to what it may affect in DA:D and not an actual synopsis of the show.
