Mass Effect: Legendary Edition Reveal Trailer

Thank the ye gods there is no multiplayer in the new version.

That ME1 cinematic in the end, the remastered version looks absolutely beautiful. The trailer didn't show anything new as far as I'm concerned though, except for the default FemShep from ME3 ported to previous games. I'm kinda cautiously optimistic about that one? The C&C remaster is great, so EA can pull off these kinds of stuff. I don't expect much more than a graphical overhaul though, for better (vs FB3) or for worse (UE4/UE5) the engine stays the same.

eh... i'll wait for when it drops to 10-15 bucks, it was as i expected, ME with ALOT and a bit of ReShade mods...


btw, i want to hear some audio from ME1, just to see if they manage to improve those crusty 2007 mp3 files

Saying the MET did is fair, since it did have a F/F romance since the first game. Though yes ME3 and later MEA made huge strides further.

F/F is cute, but is meaningless if you're a gay man. F/F with no M/M seems to be implemented more for pervy straight men than for authentic lesbians anyway.

But that's a disgruntled feeling I've dealt with since I started gaming in 2007. Nothing new there. 

It’s not a weird assumption to make, given the concept of the Asari, overall. 

I guess it is considered part of the base game nowadays. But, good observation. In our old versions, we can still deactivate it, if we want to play/see the original endings.

In fairness, FemShep kind of got the short end of the stick by having the default look like a basic asset through 2/3rds of the trilogy, whereas MShep got a proper, unique face scan. 

twalicious’ point was likely referring to adding back the cut content for those romances, that already existed.

You’re however right in this part, that they’d need to add new lines for a ME-romanced Kaidan in ME3, and likely for Femshep-Jack romance in ME3, maybe. 

Super happy it's more than a simple (but awesome) graphics update.

Many quality of life improvements and what fans wanted (universal character creator, ME3 default femshep for the whole MET, gameplay and driving in ME1, less/unified mini games, controller support on PC etc.)
It looks awesome.

Preordered mine on Xbox and I spent my 2021 vacation money on the N7 Helmet thing and the metal box.

Hmm... interesting.

The gameplay (and hud) improvements for ME sound appealing, the lack of Pinnacle Station not so much. I realize they lost the source code, but I still think it's kind of unfortunate that they did not elect to recreate it.

I can certainly see why this would be very appealing to console players, but as a PC player, I have some reservations.
-- I'm guessing that Shepard will look exactly the same when imported game to game, which is a big plus.
-- Since they're using UE3, I'm wondering whether we'll still be able to use console commands and coalesced tweaks?
-- Also wondering whether existing mods will be usable, or if mod authors will update their mods.
-- And whether the other available via console only ME armors would be included (Janissary, Partisan, Freedom, etc.).

And it might be a huge mistake to exclude ME3MP.

I'm looking forward to getting more info.

It was about as forced as manshep in every single other preview trailer.
