That's easy. If you already own all the games, XX % discount.

There's an offer for people who bought ME3 on Steam between July 11th 2020 and May 14th 2021.

Except there's absolutely jackshit for people who had ME3 (and the rest of the Trilogy plus DLCs, for that matter) on Origin for YEARS and even got Andromeda on release.

I have the games (and DLC) on Xbox 360. So screw Origin?

I have ME3 (no DLC) on PC/Origin, as well as ME2. I bought ME3 for PC to play multiplayer with friends. I got ME2 for free when it was free on Origin for a limited time. But again, how would EA/BioWare know?

Plus all three games plus all DLC (minus Pinnacle Station) plus improvements for the price of one game? AND you still want a loyalty discount? Come on, man. That seems unreasonable.

I'm not getting it at full price. Might even wait a couple of years just to make sure the nostalgia will hit even harder.

I don't have time to add up the cost of all three games plus the DLCs, but everyone is getting three games plus all the DLCs for the price of a single AAA game. You're only paying $59.99 US, so how much do you think you should pay?

Other companies offer "loyalty discounts" for remastered versions of games. Sleeping Dogs (Square Enix) offered a discount to owners of the original for its remastered Definitive Edition, as did Dead Island (Deep Silver). I got Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning (THQNordic) at a 50% discount since I owned the original game + both expansions (actually I got it for 60% off, since there was a 10% launch discount, and THQNordic decided the discounts could stack).

Some even give the remastered game for free to owners of the original. Red Faction Guerrilla (THQNordic), Borderlands (Gearbox), Bioshock & Bioshock 2 (2K), Mafia 2 (2K), Darksiders 1 & 2 (THQ Nordic). 

Not every company offers discounts. Ubisoft didn't give away Assassin's Creed 3's remaster. Gearbox didn't offer a discount to owners of Bulletstorm.

Not unreasonable to hope / ask for a discount here, though probably unreasonable to expect it from EA.


As for how they would know whether you own the previous games or not, EA can see your entire Origin library. If you're browsing the Origin store while signed in to your EA account, they know exactly what you own and don't own. Origin store search results even get filtered based on what is in your library. They definitely know already. That's not the issue.

I made totals for an argument I had over in the Steam forums.

Current, Steam:
- Mass Effect - $20, discounts to $10 (used to discount to $5, but haven't seen that in years)
- Mass Effect 2 - $20, discounts to $5 (no point in the Digital Deluxe, since buying the DLC bundle will give you everything anyway)
- Mass Effect 3 Digital Deluxe - $30, discounts to $10
- Mass Effect 3 DLC bundle - $30, discounts to $10
Origin
- Mass Effect 2 DLC bundle (not available on Steam) - $25, discounts to $10
(The "Mass Effect bundle" that included Mass Effect 1 and 2 looks like it has actually been removed from the store.)
$125 total. $45 discounted.

Current, Origin:
- the Trilogy bundle - $30 regular, $15 on sale
- ME2 DLC bundle - $25 regular, $10 on sale
- ME3 DLC bundle - $30 regular, $10 on sale
$85 total, $35 on sale


The old way, using BioWare Points (prior to 2018 iirc, which is when the DLC bundles appeared on the Origin store, this was the only way to acquire ANY DLC for ME2 & 3):
- Mass Effect bundle on Steam (ME1 and ME2 Deluxe) - $30 regular, $8.74 on sale
- Mass Effect 3 Deluxe on Origin - $30 regular, $10 on sale
- Mass Effect 2 DLC - BioWare Points needed to purchase the complete set: 3600
- Mass Effect 3 DLC - BioWare Points needed to purchase the complete set: 4800
Each pack of 1600 BioWare Points (the largest possible) cost $20. A Pack of 800 BP costs $10. To buy all the DLC would cost five packs of 1600 BP and one pack of 800 BP. That's $110. BioWare Points have never, to my knowledge, EVER been discounted.
$170 total. $128.74 discounted

(That last one is the route I took because it was the only one available at the time. No regrets. None.)

Discount? I should get the remaster free with the number of playthroughs I've completed. Oh well. For the number of playthroughs I might be doing when the remaster releases, $60 might be a bargain

You should simply offer biower an endorsement in exchange for a discount

Alternatively, accuse them of classism for charging such high prices.
