Be brave. What change are you making to your usual playthrough?

I think I'm going to play the Engineer class. I never finished the Trilogy with one, but if I can use the weapon I want now without being too negatively impacted, it might be a good choice.


A Earthborn Sole Survivor Engineer with a sniper rifle or a Shotgun.

I'm gonna do at least one playthrough where I romance Kaidan and then he finally gets to survive Virmire only to be dumped for Garrus.

Really looking forward to playing with Femshep's appearance. I never liked the ME3 promotional art of her in the first place, what with regressive genes supposedly having been sidelined over the years between current day and the late 22nd century, and her appearance in the game is indeed a godawful reflection of that art. Hope they've put a lot of focus on cleaning up the character creator.

Think I might finally do an Engineer playthrough at some point too, though rediscovering the joy of biotic detonations and getting to spam Singularity with Liara in my recent ME3 playthrough has given me a thirst for tactical biotic destruction.

Might also try making Udina the Human Counselor. Shepard doing her best and making decisions that end up haunting her will be a big theme of my next playthrough. Releasing the Rachni on Noveria, trusting the Illusive man with the Collector Base, betraying the Krogan to get aid from the Salarians. Maybe leaving David if I can stomach it. All for the greater good. And it's not like there isn't an argument to be made that Udina would be the better choice.

I've decided not to put any points into Charm or Intimidate in ME1 because this Shep isn't very persuasive so I'm interested to see all the "worse" outcomes that happen when you don't pass the persuade / intimidate checks lol

The one difference for me is I am trying to play it like its fresh and new to me. So I am not treating characters poorly until why I don't like them is revealed. So for Ash for example I will treat her well up until ME2.

I'm considering letting Miranda die in the Suicide Mission. She is the only character I haven't killed.

Huh. Does that change anything about the scenes with Oriana and Henry on Horizon in ME3? Seems like Shepard would be missing some context from their whole situation then. And wouldn't Henry have gotten his hands on her in ME2 if Shep and Miranda weren't there to help her move off Illium?

Personally I'm just planning on siding with Jack over her during the post-Loyalty bitchfight, since Jack is kind of obviously in the right if your Shepard has even a shred of Paragon in them.

The only loyalty quest I'll be avoiding entirely will be Grunt's, because I hate when he turns up alive in ME3 after his big epic sacrifice scene. And because helping him measure his dick against a Thresher Maw to get a foot in the door of Krogan society is going to seem like a pretty big waste of time to a female mostly Paragon Shepard who looks down on Krogan aggression.

If she survives into ME3 without completing her loyalty mission, she will die no matter what. If she's not in ME3, Henry will mention Miranda's name. Even Shepard and edi will mention Miranda's name in the shuttle when heading to Sanctuary. Another thing folks may not know is if her loyalty mission is completed, but Shepard sides with Jack causing to lose Lawson loyalty, she will survive ME3, if all requirements are met. Of course for that to happen she has to survive ME2. There's not much difference if her loyalty mission isn't completed. All the differences happen in ME3.

I was thinking of doing her mission but then siding with Jack.
